Dude ran a cubby today IH and farmall B. To wash up for our show.! Nice tractors but cub a bitch to mount up. However the JD 50 I cleaned up my favorite ! I move people from gate to the middle. Love doing it. Love your videos🍻
I made it there too. What a great place with tons of tractors there. We had 300 Oliver's that showed up for the featured tractor of the show this year. I made it Thursday and Friday and had a great time
It was cool to meet you at the auction. I'm glad you got to film Steve Straights Super MTA. He passed just over a year ago. He told me allot about that mta and plow when I worked with him. He had the 504, a 400 and some others that got sold.
The scaled 1066 in the picture is really cool they were in Nebraska early this summer was around it numerous times different times and places the owners were Great to visit with as well there is a lot involved with this build would love to call it my own I have several pictures of it both setting and running in tractor drives
We had a 300 on the farm when I was a kid and our 300 pulled a 3-14 plow and it done a good job pulling it and a M that pulled a 3-14 also. We also had a 230 with a fast hitch with a 2-14 we had a cultivator, corn planter. Then in 1965 my dad bought a 190xt with 5-16 plow cultivator with a disc with folding ends on the disc.
I’m very sorry but that planter has been gone for years. That was back in the 60s and it was tried around 68 or 69 when a big planter was bought. Sorry we couldn’t help you out on that.
I'd have bought that C for what it brought. Really wishing I made it up to this show now. Of course it had to happen on the weekend I was on a family vacation 🙄 😂
Sorry I missed you at Canandaigua (My buddy and I went there to shop last Friday)... BTW there is a show in Alexander NY just off Route 20 on Gillette Road the weekend after Labor Day (Thursday thru Sunday) that is every bit as good( maybe even better!)than the Canandaigua Steam Pageant... My folks, buddy and myself will be there for the entire show with my folks trailer selling Farm Toys,Model Kits and Model Die Cast Cars and Trucks...
I just made the 6 hour voyage to this show. Getting a early start this Saturday to see what's up. Second time here. Gonna rain they claim but we shall see.
Nicely restored JD MT.. I remember Mr Steele used to set up at Canandaigua as well as a few other shows in the northeast selling Farm Toys with a trailer similar to the one my folks have.. He was quite a character but not the easiest person to get any kind of bargain from...
Oliver plow 2 14's was a direct match for my Dad's. We did a lot ground with it over the years. Buddy had the Allis Chalmers G with plow, cultivators, sickle mower and single gang disc that mounted between the wheels. He died and his wife got $4000 in Northern Ohio. The C with the snow plow looked like a real IH attachment.
Excellent video 💪 was really surprised at how cheap some of the tractors sold for 🙄 engines running like sewing machines tin work in original condition and still they did not make good money ☹️ I just love tractors that have been preserved in original condition 👌 maybe that's because I'm no use at spray painting 😬😂 a lot of beautifuly restored Red Power 💪💥
Excellent video Gino :) also lots nice good condition & restoration tractors on Farmall and International plus others! Even machinery and parts too! Also Gino do ever come across on Farm Auctions Sales of 1963 a McCormick International B414 Loader 5101 trip bucket plus Triangle 🔺️ for Square bales 6 on forks to also tractor Desiel motor, 1968 McCormick International 105C combine with cab plus all 3 heads even back port Shredder for Straw bales also gas or desiel motors! Plus 1968 International 624 A with German Desiel motor no Torque Amplifier or has one ! Plus 1978 International 724 B German Desiel motor with International loader or Allied brand loader ! Also not on McCormick- International number not sure it be but it a baler made tailssel bales with baler string wrapped 2 rounds each and made in late 1957 year to 1964 years ! If saw machine it looks like a early version on square baler ! Only used on Farmall Of H or M or 230 or 300 tractors that farmers use ! I never seen Tailse baler but seen old black & white pictures of my late uncle use Old 1950 Cockshutt COOP 40 gas tractor pull Tailse Baler and on old wood box trailer home open on front my dad pile up in fields! When had 2 box trailers full take up to barn inside or barn second floors doors on west side and also use pitch fork stock in floors mows on hay or straw ! When put homemade wood feeders they use knife cut strings put hay in slots ! To my late grandma Ruby my late dad and late Uncle take pictures of of doing this work! I would have show pictures in person hard to explain it and but like know seen that done ever! I never did it but you can ask your dad or older elders about it ! I know that my dad and uncle said was dirty job on dust like Threashing Machine years was ! Called Tailse bales !
Pause at the 56 series, 1066 Blackstripe discussion. What I heard was the 856 was the best tractor ever built. I don't know from personal experience. I'm just a student/enthusiast. The 1066 Blackstripe a sought after tractor. The 5 millionth replica I was invited to have my picture taken on. Jerry Mezz's tractor and his employee invited me. Someone jumped on me about touching it. Jerry was still living and his employee invited me. Tell me you wouldn't have done the same thing. God rest Jerry's soul.
Really good video. I enjoyed looking at several of these tractors. I really enjoy your informative facts and history comments. It adds a lot to the video. There were some really nice looking and some not so nice tractors. I really appreciate you and your videos. I can't thank you enough for your time and effort on these videos.
I always loved watching what stuff sold for. I really like the Farmall 300 narrow front end. I owned one for years. I use to take it to the tractor pulls . 👍🚜🚜
Curious as what engine was the Super M repowered with? You pointed right at it at 23:33, through the years I've run across a couple with V-8's one was a 345 IH and the other was 392 IH. I really enjoy what you do for us at these auctions.
I wanted to go, but I couldn't walk the grounds and enjoy myself. A fellow RU-vidr was there from Just a Few Acres Farm. I live about 3 hrs north of there.
The reason they don't like the International 1468 and the 1568 is that they pull. I don't care what they think about those two V8-powered tractors because I watch videos on those two tractors, plowing, and those tractors have a lot of power and this I never heard anything bad about those two tractors plus it gives it the hot rod look that's what I and you can still find those tractors
Hey FF Just bought my first Farmall 47 A Cultivator What grade fluids do you recommend? Oil Trans Hydro? If you want to direct me to one of your videos, that’d work too! Thanks for all the great info and videos
Hey FF one more question The hood says A culti-vision. Who knows if original? But is my tractor an A, AV, or a SuperA? How do I tell? By the Serial number?
So the (stage 2) super m had a pretty expensive add on. It had a M&W gear reduction starter. Probably had some M&W slugs in those cylinders too. Never know when one has the Hi Torque 3/4" crank hiding in that oilpan.
Nice Purchase! I have a question. What’s the deal with all the folks sitting on, kneeling by, putting their hands all over the items going up for bid? Always seemed to be that way. Even when I went to my first auctions in the ‘80’s. I used to go to the City of Toronto Auction. That’s where I think I solidified my tractor fever! Thanks for showing this auction and showing everything you saw! 👍🏻👍🏻
I mean, my feelings are that if they are going to bid on the product, it's okay, but if they have no intentions on buying or bidding, they should leave it alone
Talking about JD plow pulling harder than an international Talk to the Amish they would say the same thing about the corn binder and I believe the same thing on the horse drawn sickle mower I guess I would say the same thing about the disk , the older JD disks pulls harder than the IH disk
11:41 in Ohio weights go high I don’t know what your talking about chalkers auction wants 1$ a pound for letter series weights also will you be at the next chalkers auction
Anyone's guess what auction tractors and parts will bring. Based on past experience geographic popularity of brands/models seems to drive demand and prices.
