Such a fabulous haul!! And of course my favorite is the dragons breath ring! So happy it was a steal! I found a dragons breath pendant earlier this year at an antique store. I had no clue what it was but i bought it because it was marked sterling on the back and was on sale.. Loved the 2 sterling and Porcelain rings too!
Thank you so much! I absolutely love dragons breath. Glad you found a treasure! I have found a number of sellers aren’t familiar with it so there are definitely deals to be found. 😊 Thanks for watching! ❤️❤️❤️
Wonderful pieces! I believe that the floral brooch at 5:25 is an example of Rostov Finift (handpainted Russian enamel) jewellery. In my experience they are not usually sterling, they are often melchior I believe. But they are absolutely lovely.
Thank you so much!! That makes a lot of sense. I did try to test the metal after I recorded this video and the scratch had copper in it- certainly not sterling. I had to look up Melchior as it is a new term to me- but seems very likely made from that material. Thanks for teaching me something new! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you very much for very interesting video. Enamel brooch with flowers and filigree frame is hand painted Russian brooch from Rostov city. The technique has a name the Rostov finift. You can find information and a lot of images this enamel technique in Internet. Good luck in your future antique and vintage jewelry hunting!
Oh my goodness, everything is fabulous! I think you are right about the cameo ring being coral. Pam is great, love her channel! I believe the cream plastic brooch is late Art deco like you said, probably 1930s/40s. I love goofus glass, i collect the dishes and jewelry :) Yours also looks to be backed with mother of pearl, some pieces were made like that. Those birds are sweet, 30s/40s moonglow :) I had some similar ones i sold. Oh those light blue beads! Those are probably vintage Chinese chevron beads. Love those givre uranium beads! My favorite pieces would have to be the watch fobs, obsessed! Ok, so the amber looking bangle is more than likely reconstituted amber, so amber mixed with resin or some sort of plastic, that's why its giving you mixed results. Hope that helped, a little long winded :) One last thing, you should check out my lastest video 😉
Thanks Hannah!! You always have such helpful info- and I don’t mind a long winded comment one bit. ❤️❤️❤️ Good point on the amber- that would definitely make sense. Also just watched your video and can’t believe I won one of your beautiful pieces!!! I’m so excited. Emailing you shortly. ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks so much for sharing these beautiful antique pieces. I agree with you, the swivel photo brooch is to die for. It’s cool that lady had such a love of jewelry that was reflected in the photo. The sterling dragon’s breath ring is one of my favorites as well. It’s awesome to have an antique store that has good prices….not all of them do. I have an antique booth in a antique mall with about 100 vendors and I definitely price my stuff on the lower end because, me personally, I’m a cheapskate, and I only like purchasing those things that feel like a deal, of course being quality at the same time. Have a great evening and thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much!! Yes I feel very lucky to have a wonderful and affordable antique store nearby. Certainly makes collecting more fun. Sounds like you have the right idea on pricing to move inventory in your booth. Im sure your customers appreciate it. Thanks for watching!! ❤️❤️❤️
That is a good tip. This bangle was strange because it did seem a little heavier than other amber pieces I have found. It may be reconstituted and mixed with other resins. Not 100% sure. Thanks for watching!! ❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing your beautiful jewels. I’m nw to your channel and enjoy it very much. I watch ‘the funky pickle’ all the time . I love her too.🤗❤️👍🏽
Around 15.15 the longer beads with colors at the ends are maybe millifiori beads. I think they make tubes and cut them, the miilifiori effect comes from putting them together. Hope that makes sense, you'll have to watch a vid on how they make it. Apparently China is buying old Jade, it is had to get good jade now. That has a wonderful color.
