What a great haul. My Dad's job was to communicate with the engineers and the switch men so he very well could have filled out those forms back in the day. Sometimes he would have to give a message to the engineer so they would roll it into a tube shape, put it in a loop on a string that was stretched between a fork looking pole and hold it up as the engineer passed. He would grab the note out of the string. Sometimes my Dad would let me do that job when I went to work with him.

Hi Teresa! I love hearing about your Dad. And all the things they did. My grandpa worked for the railroad too. In Chicago sort of downtown. He helped Pullman get the specs/plans ready to add electricity to the cars. When my Dad was a kidlet, there were trolleys. He and his little pals would go set a little fire on the tracks because it was funny that all the trolleys had to stop until things were out. It was fun until he got caught though! Boys! Hugs friend!

I really have to admit a lot of the paper ephemera has been in my collection for a bunch of years- oh boy I have a lot of paper here. Trying to get better at sharing! Hugs!
