I love history and spend many hours researching people and places. Ephemera and books are an historical revolving door for me to step through & find many people just waiting to be rediscovered. They walked ahead of us in time leaving so many clues for us to follow. History highlights everyday people and the spectacular events of every single life-characters woven together so long ago. I may not know them all, but their stories are important and call out to me.
Finding others in the universe who enjoy ephemera & junk journals is a blessing. I have so many items here that need a new place & new lease on life you might say!
Our lives revolve around our small flock of rescued sheep . They arrive from many situations in need of a place to retire. All of the proceeds from the sale of our items goes directly to their care. Their only rule? Be cute & give me pretty wool to spin into yarn.
Stop by to meet the sheep & find more ephemera/journal info on our website!
Good old fashioned shag rugs! We thought those were so cool. That and station wagons. (not sure what one has to do with the other but- squirrel) All our friends had them when we were around 2nd grade. Dad bought a Rambler station wagon one summer. We did not have a lot of money so it was a used car. We were so so excited until we had a chance to sit in the back. We could not sit upright because the ceiling was so low. We were SO sad! Then we decided it was fun because we could lay DOWN back there. Saw some drive-in movies with that car. Dad made lots of popcorn and we usually fell asleep. ANYhoo, where did that come from??? Love the memories my family gave us. Are you doing anything fun this weekend? Smooches!
First I can’t wait to see your process videos! I’ve only sourced for three journals so far I could use some ideas on gathering all the great stuff. Your journal is awesome! I love a cooking themed journal. The light purple or pink lace is gorgeous.. TFS! Crafty hugs 🤗 teri
Thank you Teri! Send me an email- I am always happy to help with sourcing ideas. Having three journals sourced for is a good achievement. My problem is I source for more journals than I will ever get put together! Happy weekend and sending hugs!
Thank you Jm H! I'm still not sure if the cover needs something. I'm used to a picture or something on the covers. However, I did not want to cover up the quilt. Hope you are having a fun weekend- hugs!
Happy 4th to you too Sierra! Thank you for watching - I have so many videos saved to watch. Need to catch up with everyone. Sending you hugs and smooches to Baby J!
Hi Sandy, sounds like our process for doing a journal is the same!! Great minds think alike OR fools never differ? I love those teeny weeny fabric flips---I'm definitely copying that idea so thank you! Wonderful, wonderful items & enough for 4 (tree, purple, blush...lol) journals! I agree that knowing when to pause is genius....Hugs, H
I choose great minds think alike! I forget who I saw doing the tiny fabric flips. I just used ribbon clips (not sure that is their real name) for them. After I filmed this video, I found another box of blue stuff tucked in behind the big one. Looks like 4 + journals for me too. Hugs!
@@woolaminajunkjournals If you mean ribbon crimps, I've go some & the crimping pliers. I just thought you used a bulb pin to hold them together but this would be better! Yay. H
I love the heartwarming, silly stories about you, and the sheep! I adore every color of blue! This is going to be heartfelt, and inspiring! Each little bit and bob is so delightful! Adore all the fashion Ephemera! Thank you for sharing!
Hi Sandy💕 I have a lot of projects started because my brain goes 24/7, but I like your method of putting projects in a box and adding to it. Happy 4th hope you have a wonderful day, big hugs🤗
Hi Celeste! That project box(es) are my only real attempt to being organized. I have come to the conclusion that being organized is highly overrated! Hugs!
Wonderful box of blue goodies! I know these journals will be gorgeous! The quilted fabric piece came that way as a sample, button holes and all. I have some projects that need to come out of the “time out” corner, too.
I'm working away on the time out corner- moved a few things and there was a box of blue lace and fabric. Guess I am REALLY prepared for this next round of journals? Hugs!
Hey sandy. What beautiful blue fabrics😊❤I am a worrier also. Not fun😢so nice to hear your voice this will make at least one journal. Maybe a patriotic one too...add a little red and voilà 😊❤
Good Morning Ms. Sandy!! I am so happy to see another video and am glad you have the sheep to get ya movin!! 🙂 What a great process, I am getting ready to organize all of the goodness I have gathered and think this will be perfect for this beginner! I love all the book covers and goodies you have gathered and can't wait to see the beautiful journals you will create. I know I will be adding another "Woolimina" journal to my collection! I just love your channel and all of your creations and your awesome collection of vintage goodies! Have a great day and Happy Crafting.

Sounds like so much fun for your weekend Johnna! Enjoy! I was moving things around in my project time out corner. Guess what I found? Another box of blue- this one fabric and lace. Whoa! Hugs!
Thanks for that little walk through Sandy. I just love blue journals at the moment and I have made several lately. I usually say that I am in my "blue era". Have a great week. Hugs
@@woolaminajunkjournals I get it! I need to just sit and mass make with the wallpaper I have. Maybe I'll put it on my video list that way it will get done....eventually, LOL
Awwwwwww thanks so much for mentioning me. Loove you and the sheep. Happy fourth. We are staying home too. We sre just homebodies lol love love love your journals, but you know that already! ❤
The J is here! It never even crossed my mind when I bought it that it was 'heavy metal' and how fitting that would be for his journal. hahahahahaha! Hugs!
Hi Sandy💕 Oh my goodness your woman's day book is such a treasure. "Love it" Hope today finds everyone cooled off and the sheep are happy. Take good care, big hugs! 🤗
GO CUBS! GO BEARS! Us Illinois gals gotta stick together! This journal fir Jim is terrific! Again - an inspiration for me. I'll be back...dinner to cook.
I loved your smaller journals. Maybe this is this ticket to get me on a roll. My Mom's favorite candy was Necco wafers. Lots of cool things to show us! Sorry for leaving 2 comments. #1 was from during the dayvwhen I thought I could do 2 things at once. Ha ha
I will let her know Carol! She's moving to Mass. this fall and I do not know what I will do without her. We've been friends for 20 years and always lived near each other. Trying not to think about it but there it is! I do love my shopping! Hugs!
