Antique Snap-On Ratchet Restoration.
In this video I restore this Rusty Snap-On ratchet from 1945.
I started this restoration with disassembly as much as possibly.
Started by polishing the screws and the On / Off "switch" after that i moved on with the ratchet itself.
To remove all the rust i tried electrolysis for the first time and it worked really well.
Then i moved on with a lot of grinding, sanding and polishing to get a nice shiny results and it turned out really awesome.
All small parts and some areas of the ratchet got a cold blueing treatment, both for looks and rust protection.
After i completed the assembly i gave the ratchet a layer of automotive wax only for some extra rust protection.

A simple but most satisfying piece of work. I was under the impression that there was nothing better than a Snap-on but you've token it to an even higher level

Great restoration buddy! I love these old snap on ratchets but I bet that still cost a small fortune to buy! 😂 polishing process was 👌🏻 it came out awesome!
