To line up the joints with the whole entire pattern of those stamps is not easy. It’s precision at its finest. It’s one of those details that people just don’t understand how hard it is to pull off. That’s why everyone just saw cuts afterward because it’s easier. I was really looking forward see this pour like always it was perfect. Trying to learn everything I can from just watching you upload.
Let's say you would do this if you were in Belgium, where it can go down to -10 °C (50 F) in winter... would you do anything different? E.g. a deeper foundation around the sides so frozen ground water wouldn't be able to push the plate up?
@@WestCoastCustomConcrete Ah I see what you mean, but I actually mean that temperatures can get really low in winter so that the ground water under the plate can freeze and push it up. To avoid that, on the edge we poor a 1 ft x 4 ft footer so that frost can't get under the plate.
Awesome work man. I really look up to you guys and aspire to get the craft as tight as you and your men. Thanks for setting the bar for the rest of us. Quick question, when pouring a 4” thick slab like this, most people use wire, or just straight fiber. I understand that rebar is stronger, so do you only use rebar and never mesh or fiber? Or did the customer specifically request it? Thanks
Anthony, Im just curious, why no gravel? I was a GC in NorCal and we did alot of our own foundations and flatwork. I usually set everything up and then hired finishers on pour day. Ive never been overly concerned about gravel under the slab when grade was compacted well. Im in Idaho now and wondering if its necessary if the grade is already compacted? Id like to hear your opinion. Thanks brother and as always great video!
The cost of material halted all my projects. A deck I was building went from $2,300 in estimated material cost to over $7,500. Awesome workers you got there.
You and your guys do great work, I like how you incorporate them and praise their work. Maybe they could do a spin off channel in Spanish for you all. I think you’d catch more attention and possibly business, I don’t know I’m just on a rant. Regardless great work bro, keep the videos going
I like how you represent the high standards we have I work with guys from around the country building skateparks . When they come here they’re not bringing much to the table .
