Thank you Mr. Madden for the instructive guide. Your video reminded me to readjust my erroneous barometric reading to the actual reading for my location.
Excellent video I have a Short & Mason Stormoguide one, do you know if they need to be adjusted in anyway like moving from sea level to the mountains?? Mnay thanks I have watched your video on testing them and all seems to be ok with it many thanks for your reply
Please could you help me Mr. Madden? I’ve just acquired a Short & Mason Stormoguide 1932. Now, the problem I have is; there is the plate on the reverse as you’ve shown, but if I rotate this to my Altitude, it also hides the usual screw that you turn to calibrate the Barometer... But both the Plate AND the screw of course move the Hand of the Barometer, and so what do you do in this situation? I calibrated the Hand in the usual way with the screw; but of course once I rotated the Plate - it changed the Hand, and I can no longer get at the screw showing through the hole, unless I rotate the Plate back so it is showing through the back hole again... I would be very grateful for any help you can give. Much appreciated.
