Antiracism author Ibram X. Kendi hits back at Republicans Nikki Haley and Tim Scott 

🦆Teach children about American history - good and bad. Don't teach children how they must feel about American history. Teach kids the truth that Communism is responsible for the Death of over 150 Million people in my lifetime. Teach about Hitler but teach about Pol Pot and the other Communist killers too. Teach Kids the History of Slavery in all the Muslim countries, not just what occurred in America.

If the true history of this country is not allowed to be taught, then non of the freedom fighters, civil rights advocates will be known and acknowledged regardless of their ethnicity and color. Read, study and formulate your own opinions.

And that's why we must fight to teach it.

The greatest enslavers have been the East Indians and the Chinese. Slavery is still alive and well today in Africa, particularly in the Sudan region. A healthy black male teenager can fetch as much is $250 USD.

We idolize President Lincoln who dealt with slavery right on and won a civil war. The Confederacy had a purpose in the plan of things, they were given 245 years of bondage and wanted to tear up the Union in order to maintain a way of life that had to come to an end.

I grew up in Kansas and learned about slavery and how it was not just whites involved but also some tribal Kings… that did not change the fact that it was Wrong. Kids become aware of racial stereotypes at about age nine. Regardless of whether race is a subject of discussion in their homes. And the threshold for being affected by racial stereotypes is not believing a stereotype, but rather just being aware of it. So, the idea that "race" will go away if we ignore it is perhaps well intentioned, but it is ultimately ineffective and in some cases may actually make those negative effects of race worse. Ignoring cancer doesn't make it go away.
