ANTM British Invasion: Episode 9 Silkworm Photoshoot + Elimination recap by Annaliese 

I don’t understand why they made everyone act sad and tormented, except for Laura...who they told to act powerful and sexy. So, of course Laura got the best shot. That always bothered me.

It was obviously rigged. There's 4 British girls and 2 Americans, of course they'll pick the worst pictures of the British girls. Production already planned the finale with 1 American vs. 1 British.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were just fresh off of the competition. It's hard to believe this was actually filmed close to a decade ago when you look like you haven't aged a single day. Just wanted to say you, Az and Louise have alwas been my favourites. I distinctly remember being so pissed for Louise on that one episode the judges pushed her on edge. Love from Thailand!

Let’s talk about that bloody awful picture of Cat. They gave her that mess of a photo to eliminate her for sure.

I remember this season's best photoshoot is not choosed neither by jay nor Tyra.. which is a huge problem... Btw I think they give you that wigs because of they want 1920s fashion but the wig is not well made... It's obvious that the judges had to eliminate certain contestants on the request of the producers/representatives of the covergirl at times. But here it was ridiculously obvious... That was not Catherine's best photo. What a joke...

Anyone whos been watching Jays chats lately has heard him going on about how he sent a select few pictures to Tyra in the earlier season & best pic was chosen from them & as the seasons went on his opinion was less & less valued & more & more ignored. He has said he would mark a couple as best pic in the later seasons but those pictures would never ever got picked in judging. It's really quite obvious exactly that was happening by thess flip flop scenes. Please stick to this format, things align nicely 😁

Great video! I look forward to your new content each week. Loving the ANTM videos and even though i've never wanted to be a model, listening/watching your model diaries is still fascinating. It's your confidence and personality and personability that gives you your star quality (I've even found myself projecting my inner confident "Annaliese" while at work). I don't know if you can bottle that up and explain/coach it in a video but i'd watch it!

I remember my 15-year-old self feeling sad coz Queen Catherine was eliminated during this shoot. Really loved her.

I feel so bad for everyone involved in this photoshoot the models were uncomfortable and tired and the worms were being hurt (not on purpose even Annaliese said Laura was upset about that). And honestly the worms didn’t even photograph that well I wouldn’t be able to tell those are silk worms on the final product.

the sabotage was real with this one tbh only Laura had a good wig they also told Laura to look powerful whilst the others were instructed to be sad and emotional. also its clear they sabotaged eboni and catherine eboni had so much neck in alot of shots and they picked one without a neck. and Catherine is such a strong model alot of her shots throughout the season were amazing but she suddenly had such a horrid shot when I saw the shots happening some actually looked good but they picked such a bad shot. its like they just wanted a reason to eliminate a strong competitor

I feel like this episode the wigs really determined a lot. The wigs are so sharp and dark and glossy that it doesn't match the emotions at all in my opinion...

Lol it's funny how you think on your toes and came up with that explanation, but girl you slayed that pic. I often wonder at why they pick the pics they do, because sometimes in session, there are great comments from Jay, beautiful poses, and a lackluster pic is the result. Or there is a boring performance, and you think "yea she's going home" and then voila, perfection at judging. Sigh.

The tea with Eboni and Alisha is that after Eboni got famous she's just been leaving Alisha on seen (Alisha said this in the Americas Next Top Best Friend podcast you were also on!)

That bob wig is possibly because most of our asian girls think that's the best idea of a simple haircut.

IMO, 1. The silkworms were totally unnecessary. They just want you girls to freak out over the bugs... 2. The bob hair was more Japanese than Chinese tbh, I said it as a Hongkonger. Or maybe not in that age, more like in the ROC time period. But Disneyland HK used that for the Lunar New Year event. I think that's their view on "China" style.

i don't know if its the angle but the wig doesn't look that bad on you in the shot. I think you look really pretty in the shot. Also, I don't get the purpose of the silk worms honestly other than to creep you out.

I wouldn’t have minded doing a photoshoot with silk worms. Bugs don’t bother me too much. Doing a photoshoot with snakes would make me terrified but as long as a real legit animal trainer was there l would do it. One thing I would not have wanted to do is dead animals. Like the meat shot in cycle 10. I’m not a vegetarian and I do eat meat and I understand that animals are slaughtered, but I just couldn’t be in a slaughter house where it’s done.

I have to say, the silkworm look like a certain male body fluid. I didn't get it at all, and could have been done without them. I think my favorite challenge/ photoshoot with crawly animals was the Runway with Jade in Season 6, where she ended up kissing the roach. Or season 7 with Booke posing as Britney with a live snake. BTW I like your picture big time - one of the better pictures of that week. But yeah the whole photoshoot is a mess, didn't like it. But thanks for the great video !!!

As much as I don't think that isn't Catherine's best photo, judging by the way she looked while posing, she still was the weakest that day. But then again, except Laura, I don't think anyone had their best photo chosen for panel either.

Well this photo shoot got me questioning a lot of things. For starters I love your photo because it was finally showing me the potential u had as a model. You were growing and the potential was their. Now I know for sure u got robbed on one photo shoot. I thought u deserved best photo on the tower one and I'll explain why when u post that one. Call out order was like confusing for me. I'll say top 3 called out yes because it was better than the other 3. The last 3 was like a debate over an over. Catherine was the worse so bottom 2. The other two was like ok which one too pick. I would say ok eboni has movement but awkward pose. Alisha was straight line but serving face. I pick eboni because I'm not sure about the photo. Now over all I would say Catherine goes home based on photo. But if I had too pick. I would say ok body of work. Does the girl who delivers sometimes and shows promise or the girl who struggles of giving us the model that we see in person. Catherine u stay because I feel that it is their and portfolio wise is stronger than eboni. However I'm like eboni is so lucky for the free pass from the judges because I was just not sure if she deserved bottom two. Maybe if you give us the video of your point of view. I honestly think Eboni's photo was much worse than Alisha's and Catherine's.

As more tea spills out about antm, I feel all eps are rigged. With people saying they do have better shots at judgement than the pics that are actually judged at panels. Girl, more like they already predetermined who’s going to win. But that’s just my opinion 🤷🏻‍♀️

It was too easy to manipulate the results by picking a bad photo of the model they wanted to eliminate; giving her wrong instructions during the shoot; and giving her a bad dress or make-up.

I would've sent both Alisha and Catherine home. Alisha hasnt lived to her potential in all season and Catherine had lost all her power by then. It was both of their time to go
