It's a pity that Rejcha is a less known and presented composer in Hungary. So far I have known only a mass of him and some other minor works. It is a beautiful music!
Gyorgy, yes, Reicha's music should be more well known. He was a great composer and highly respected in his lifetime by no less than Beethoven. He wrote many chamber music works. But it is very hard to find the sheet music these days. For this reason I plan to add several of his works to my sheet music collection once I have finished engraving them.
If you find any of his symphonies would you let me know? I'm working with some amateur non profit groups in Scotland/and trying to get some new music involved.
This work was composed for clarinet and string quartet - no oboe. However, it does work well with oboe. s9.imslp.org/files/imglnks/usimg/9/96/IMSLP14162-Reicha_Quintetto_op.107_per_cl.2vl.va.vc..pdf
