So sad about hearing of Anton Yelchin's death, such a professional, and nice guy, great talent. My heart is with his friends and family. Such a horrible accident. Rest In Peace
i agree with you to a degree.I know these types of repetitive interviews are excessive in the way they self promote ireland, but ireland is a country in a recession, with unemployment and most importantly low, almost suicidal levels of self esteem.to acknowledge that actors etc. are taking time to visit a low population country that won't do a lot to the film's profit is an admirable thing and it is exploited by people like ryan tubridy.
God I hate the Late Late, I only watched it that night to see Anton and sure enough it was painful and cringe-worthy. Good job Tubridy. As ever. If I ever get to meet either of them I'm going to apologise on the behalf of Ireland for this interview.
Because everything has to get brought back to Ireland and Irish-ness. It's embarrassing that they need to take anyone vaguely famous and require 'celebs' to validate them by acknowledging Ireland. Can you imagine any other talk show making their guests wear a bloody sports jersey or rather than discussing the film they're there to promote, making one of the actors talk about the one scene in a previous film where the word Ireland was mentioned? It's pathetic.
