I don't even like żurek and yet it's hard to watch. I feel sorry for anyone who wants to cook Polish dishes outside of Poland. If you can't get white kiełbasa then you might as well give up, you're not going to make the authentic żurek.

A proper Polish hangover soup (a loose definition of a soup applied here) is either: rosół (chicken soup), flaczki (tripe) or beef stroganof ;) However, this żurek looks pretty good! :) Much better than whatever my mother makes for Easter ;)

I have no idea what's that supposed to be, but if it's żurek then he used the wrong kiełbasa :D
@pitur5492
@pitur5492 4 года назад
He should use white kiełbasa. Polish meat product "kiełbasa" is not Saxon "sausage" or "wurst". They are different products. Kiełbasa is not sausage! But i'm affraid germanics don't understand that.
@hdkl6892

That's more similiar to Kwaśnica I mean without stuff in the end but still Żurek is something more than it, some people add even potatoes and at the holidays white sausage/Biała Kiełbasa. At least this is still good video.

Applehead. If only it were true. I don’t agree with that comparison at all. I find them bitter. They also don’t cook up well - in a soup they might do better but roasted definitely bitter.
