Antonio Brown vs Richard Sherman 2015 AB caught 3 passes for 24 yards on 9 targets against Sherman Sherman traveled with Antonio Brown and played man coverage more often than not against AB. Is Sherman the best corner of the 2010s? Is Antonio Brown the best receiver of the 2010s? 🤔
for sure Sherman is the best db of the 2010s in my book. antonio can be a difficult discussion tho as he's been in and out the last 3 seasons, no? but the first 7 of the decade he proved he was one of the best but I wouldnt say he was the best
Richard Sherman is a Future Hall Of Fame Inductee. He had 1 on 1 coverage with AB and Sherm won the battle. Before his Achilles injury he was the best corner in the league. No doubt about that. People talked about Patrick Peterson. Sherm said in an interview, "If I gave up as many touchdowns as Patrick Peterson I'd bench myself." 😂😂😂 That's Priceless. And he meant it.
Patrick peterson, Talib, Lattimore and Harris Jr. Play way more man then Sherman. Sherman gets a lot of PI calls. And why would Sherman give up a ton of touchdowns if all he does is play cover 3 for majority of the game? He has one responsibility, don't get beat on the sidelines, which is why he gets killed on comeback routes often. Dude had four defensive penalties when he played the Bucs last year because they were torching his ass.
MikeBNumba6 lol your talking about post Achilles injury and it wasn’t 4 it was 3 lol stop reaching Seahawks sherm is way better than pat and I love pat as well it’s just facts hawks sherm > revis, pat
@@Ainsi110 I think they’re two different corners with two different skill sets. Like asking wether you want Alvin kamara, or Derrick Henry. They way different
That was by far the worst defensive game LOB ever played, that’s the first time Russell Wilson saved that defense. Big Ben was killing them until man like Sherm and Kam started making big time interceptions
Crazy that Big Ben just kept on forcing the ball to AB, gotta think Big Ben and the Steelers coaching staff would be smart enough to throw it someone else and use AB as a decoy here and there to actually win the game mentally and on the board. Just makes me think that AB must have been non stop telling Big Ben to throw his way
@@mariohernandez231 whats that have to do with what i said? Ok they threw his way, doesnt mean that was the right decision to make when double or triple covered. Coulda gone other directions and won the game instead. "Ummm" open up your mind son
@@Quesque_que you said gotta think Big Ben and the Steelers coaching staff would throw to someone else and use AB as a decoy but they did like I said another WR had 201 yards once again don't talk if you dont know "SON"
Sherm is so under appreciated, still dont understand how fast receivers never have a field day with him. He's stiff as hell when he's running but somehow he rarely has a horrible day.
He plays mostly cover 3. Sherman knows his limitations which is DON'T GET BEAT DEEP. He plays press bail. It's why wrs tend to always get comeback and slant patters on him because he's never concerned about those. You can run comebacks on him all day. It's only not open if the linebacker is sitting over there in the curl zone. The times he is forced to play man with no help he gets beat or gets a defensive penalties. Those types of things don't really show up on the stat sheet. Example, last year when he played Tampa, he had four defensive penalties (holding and PI) because he was forced to play man more than normal as the Bucs have good wrs and they pass a lot. You saw what happened when he played against Kansas city as well.
Ya Moms exactly just some lame hater he clearly puts receivers on clamps qbs don’t throw towards him for a reason when has sherm ever had a bad day😂😂😂??? Numbers speak for itself
To be honest, 2015 people were saying Sherman was very good but not great. He chose to travel more with the top WRs and a lot of the time he got killed lol except here....
Richard Sherman is my favorite Corner. He is the most hated, but he is the best in the 10's decade. The 10° greatest CornerBack on All-Time NFL list. Sherman is a Hof. Accept this haters.
@@vicseb2480 Richard Sherman in the first 6 Seasons Off his career have the same numbers as Deion Sanders Off Pro-Bowl, All-Pro and INts. Soo off course, he is a HOF.
M. Almeida II Sr #25-35# he has to retire and be selected to be a Hof but i see him being a hof one day. The only thing stopping him from being a Hof is his trash talking
Tim Hallas thx dude for the correction I didn’t know RU-vid had English teachers in the comments.Who knew? You’re so inspirational man. When I grow up, I wanna be just like you a sad old man trying to teach the youth how to spell.😊
Tim Hallas oh cmon Old man Hallas teach me something else I didn’t know.Since it’s like you’re job or whatever.Cmon Old man Hallas .Old man Hallas .Cmon old man Hallas I really need you to teach me something else cmon.Old man Hallas .Old Man Hallas do you’re job .
Tim Hallas cmon Old man Hallas I’m BORED can we have recess already.Pretty please with sugar on top? Pls don’t move my star to red .Can we go into the treasure box after recess or we going to lunch to have pizza.
AB is/was my favorite WR when he was a steeler ! I looked at this man like he really was chasing jerry. My favorite matchups are always ones with him in it just to see. Great defense by Seahawks in this one Sherman is a goon out there my Steelers we’re trying hard to get it to AB
people can bash Sherman all they want but this man is 31 years old....n they call him trash because he got burnt only twice this season...man still made pro bowl, 5 INTS, and 8 pos deflects at the age of 31!!!!!!!
This backup what Sherman says about man. He locked AB up yet this was the most passing yards given up by the LOB . Wheaton looked like an All PRO this game. When a defense plays man everyone plays man.
That was Sherman. His length and ability to catch the ball leaves QB's timed. I watched this game. Ben balled out. Dude was throwing some ridiculous passes.
Honestly sherm had some good plays but he didn’t really lock him up in my opinion. Context matters. Antonio dropped a pass, uncalled pass interference, and Big Ben made some bad throws...
Don’t let this individual match up detract from the fact that Ben Roethlisberger threw for 456 yards against the cover 3 legion of boom. Which is the record high of most yards thrown against Seattle, during their defensive peak.
This was the game where I notice the LOB was on a slight decline. they was getting cooked by the other receiver Marcus Wheaton. I mean Wilson at the end of the day won the game for them and the rest is history
1st time Ever Sherm Traveld basically the whole game vs a true #1 Wr an he did his THANNNGG!!Much respect!!!But to be considered the greatest db of yo era he should of did this more often then none (even tho he really never had to cause of the scheme they ran an the talent he had around him)...U cant just gaurd 1 side of the field basically vs #2 & 3's because they jusg gonne hide there #1 wr on the left side or the slot since u dont Travel an ignore u whole game..
Notice only times he “won” the match ups is bracket coverage. Any one on one AB ran past him. Sherman was always slow he just benefit from all pro safeties and awesome pass rush.
Zhowho not biased at all. When Sherman doesn’t have a awesome safety behind him he is usually getting ran past. Look at the Super Bowl... but hey i guess it’s bias 🙄
No one else in the comment section pointed this out. He literally smoked Sherman earlier that game but the safety broke up the pass. Seattle had their entire defense on Brown which is why the second wr had 200 yds rec lol
T.O didn't show Any regression either and Antonio Brown antics is 10 times worse then T.O. Plus T.O was a much better receiver And they found a way to kick him out of the league
The Seahawks theme was interfere until the refs finally called it. Let's be honest they got away with murder more than any other defense during those times
@@ForWhatItsWorth_ but always had a safety over the top, or a linebacker on the inside. Buddy in 2014/2015 even prime Revis would have trouble stopping AB. And I think even Prime Deion couldn't stop him. Especially with Ben. Pete Carroll is a good coach and knew this. So he did the Bill Belicheck idea and decided to allow someone else beat him. So he made sure AB made as little an impact as possible. It worked. But not well enough. They still lost the game.
Lol Sherman wasn’t even really winning the matchups he was never actually 1v1 with AB the safety overtop AB is what allowed Sherman to be aggressive and even then if the balls was placed in the right spot you’ll see how many times he actually won 1v1
A lot of missed calls this game it pissed me off AB was killing him so he had to push or grab or trip I miss AB man I really do he apologized it’s time for my team to do the same but nope our GM Golbert is a fucking idiot but don’t get me wrong Sherman is a fucking beast real shit
