@@parycartoons6840 I don't know man, my guess is because managers tend to be that way in real life, and as far as I can tell that in turn comes from it being easier to be negative than positive and not everyone being willing to put in that effort. That, and Leadership skills aren't taught in school, so you're only real chance to build the leadership skills are to be well read or have the right role models in your life
Joy also learned a valuable lesson when stopping Anxiety. She realized she has been doing to Riley the exact same thing Anxiety did. The old sense of self Riley had was based on only positive believes Joy and the others thought were better for her, all while sending all the memories that could result in bad believes to the Back of the Mind. Even if Joy's actions were not harmful like Anxiety's, it prevented Riley from accepting her true self in all of its extensions.
I also think Joy learned the value of anxiety in that it's a necessary short term motivator and skill planner, so long as it does go about unchecked. This film finally explained how anxiety isn't an always negative emotion but is also useful to pull yourself out of difficult or frustrating situations.
i like that anxiety ain't demonise it at the end, in the the ending we see her still in headquarters but still doing her job but on a calm chair and still helping riley to make sure she does her homework without doing too much damage
Because everyone does need Anxiety. It's similar to how in the first movie all emotions are indeed needed in our lives, and so is anxiety, but too much can really ruin us
Because anxiety is still necessary in our lives. In a way it helps you prepare for a situation and gives you the boost of adrenaline that you need. It can also act like that voice in your head which teaches you it’s okay to fail and that there is always room for improvement. Xx
I like that in the first movie Riley felt too much joy and ignored the other emotions when she needed them as well while in the second movie Riley felt the other emotions too much and forgot she needed to feel joy as well
I really love how they taught us to focus on more immediate things we can control, rather than things beyond that reach. For many people it takes *years* to learn that, including myself. But this movie taught that concept to millions of young children just about to experience puberty in a quick and efficient way. Kudos Pixar!
I love the way they animated Anxiety, it perfectly embodies the feeling. Also, Maya Hawke needs her flowers cause she did an amazing job voicing Anxiety!
I love how the movie subtly gives advice on how to best manage anxiety. In the first half Joy claims she’ll tell Anxiety to just calm down-the wrong way to deal with anxiety. By the end though she directs anxiety to being in balance and making productive contributions to Riley’s life
Relaxing massage chair always calms our anxiety and stress but it doesn’t go away completely, just reducing it. But glad Joy can help Anxiety stop worrying so much and focus on reality.
That's the way. The future carries so many unknown variables and ultimately a lot of things you can't do anything about. No point in being worked up over it.
Having anxiety sitting in a chair and drinking tea 🫖 to help her relax was genius 😂😂😂😂 cause when we experience anxiety we just need some time to relax and calm down 😅
I like that the try to show what anxiety is for. Yeah it sucks when you have too much. But this sentiment exists to try to help us. All anxiety is doing is trying to help
This lesson hit so hard with me! We can't control everything, so why don't we just focus on what we can control? It's not about pushing anxiety away, but about using it for the right things. They can't control whether Riley makes the team or not, but they can control whether she's prepared for an upcoming test! Also, I love that they gave her an easy chair and some tea and candles. That's adorable!
I love the way to sooth anxiety shown in the movie. The 5 things exercise during Riley’s panic attack, the focus on what can be controlled. It’s all great stuff
This may be far-fetched but I thought the detail of Joy helping Anxiety relax was interesting: When people are given medication for anxiety disorders, they're sometimes given antidepressants because serotonin is shown to decrease anxiety in the brain. And here, Joy is seen helping Anxiety by guiding her to a chair and giving her tea. I doubt it was intentional but if it is, that level of detail is INCREDIBLY impressive
Joy is so patient and understanding here! If I had someone in my life that treated my anxiety the same way Joy does in this scene, I would have turned out much better... :c
What I like is that Anxiety isn't treated the way Sadness was in the first movie. Anxiety isn't put in a "Circle Of Sadness" where she's ignored, instead just calmed and soothed so that they don't run wild. More importantly, Anxiety offers assistance, reminding them of the Spanish test. If you're anxious about a test, you won't forget to study for it. Anxiety, when kept under control, can be useful. It's when Anxiety goes out of control that it becomes a major problem.
I like that they show anxiety being an important emotion but we mustn't let it control our life. We must learn to only worry about what we can control and find joy.
Remember, you should always take care of your anxiety because most often, it's because you don't take care of yourself. Anxiety is there to keep you safe but like many things, too much and it warps your judgement and what you think if everyone hating you; is actually people caring about you. You anxiety can warp what your see, by projecting how you feel. This is from someone who worries so much that when they don't worry, they fear someone gets hurt because of it. Don't let it take over you; don't ignore it, but it's all about balance. (P.s. I've not seen the movie btw. This is just from real life experience and watching this one clip)
I had an existential crisis last week and ever since I've had major anxiety about what's the afterlife and if hell exists, and it's hard not to worry about it when it's inevitable and the possibility is terrifying even when I don't believe in it
Maya hawke was such a GREAT choice. Not only is she a great actress, but she practically mastered anxiously fast talking with her role as Robin. She was the best part of the movie for me!
Anxiety:In 6 minutes. What if we don't pick a fire hook well thanks for asking Joy i'll tell you, first mom and dad are very disappointed we do go prom and we find work as an Anthem musicologist, even though we don't really know what that is,we have no friend and we die alone! Joy:Okay okay okay none of this is happening right now, is it? Anxiety:No Joy: Great! so why don't we take a seat in our special chair! Anxiety:Yeah thats a great idea Joy:See isn't that better? Anxiety:o0o0o0o0HhHhH YyYyYyYEeEeEeEeAaAaAHhHhHh,TtTtHhHhHaAaAaTtTtT'Ss tTtHhHEeE sSsSsTtTuUuUFfFfFfF Joy:We can't control whether Riley makes the team but what can we control? Anxiety:WwWwWwEeEeELlLlLlL UuUuMmM o0o0o0o0hH!, Riley has a Spanish test tomorrow we need to study Joy:Oh! you're right we totally- Anxiety:Olvidamos Joy:What does that mean? Anxiety: Forgot
Its quite wholesome how much everyone's attitude towards Anxiety has changed, especially Joy's. At the start she tried to keep Anxiety away from the console as much as possible or block her all together or not take her concerns seriously. By the end they all let Anxiety express her (somewhat overblown) concerns and use the console without interrupting her or automatically minimising her worries, all the while smiling understandingly. Only after Anxiety has worked herself into a tizz does Joy proceed to calm her down and reflect on her concerns. Sometimes people can be very anxious, some definitely more than others and need to vent, get it out of their systems even if it gets them worked up and only then can be helped to calm down and reminded they might not be able to control somethings but they can control other things.
Considering the near heart attack that the Anxiety Attack would have probably given Riley, yes, Anxiety needs to calm down. 13yo, while possible, is waaaay too young for a heart attack.
@@waynejohnson1521 But what was she going to do? She is anxiety, she can't control wanting to control everything and overthinking in unimaginable ways. I think that at the end when she tells joy that she only wanted to protect Rylie she accepted her mistake
