--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anxiety symptoms are scary and they can be absolutely terrifying, especially if they pop up for no apparent reason at all.
During my 5 years with anxiety, I was completely entrapped in this cycle of constant anxiety, reassurance-seeking, medical tests and then eventually back to being in an overall state of high anxiety and stress.
For the most part I remained in this cycle because stress sensations always seemed to come in just the wrong moment. This doesn’t mean that I didn’t experience all kinds of scary anxiety symptoms every day, but it was the ones that got me completely off-guard that got me especially worried.
During the early days of my anxiety recovery journey, I would often have periods where everything was seemingly lining up. I had a goods night's rest, woke up anxiety-free and felt like everything was close to normal. I went on with my day feeling great but then out of nowhere I would notice something weird. It could be the tiniest sensation, the smallest sign of a rash, a bit of numbness or even just some light that I didn’t expect and in my mind would go wild.
No overthinking, no slow build-up of stress BUT I was straight back into full-blown panic attacks. In my mind, these symptoms could only mean one thing! It was proof that my worries beforehand were all justified. Doctors telling me that I was fine and that it just was stress has now been disproved. I thought I was in some serious danger or how else can one say it was just anxiety when I so obviously was simply minding my own business and not worrying about anything at all.
Without that connection between the sensation and stress I was overwhelmed and couldn’t stop my racing thoughts which would eventually lead me to the ER and plenty of tests. So all in all right back to where I was before improving my overall condition.
Like in all the videos here on the channel, I do my best to explain what was going on in my mind during those setbacks. - Finding someone who has gone through the same is crucial to find peace with
As always I hope that this video helps you understand what is going on during these very normal anxiety recovery steps.
Hopefully you will feel more at ease and can concentrate on the more important parts of anxiety recovery. Which I describe in more detail here in this playlist:

I had this for years. Word for word. No anxiousness and then bang! Pains shooting through my legs, stiffness, pins and needles, trembling throughout my body, electric shocks, burning skin, ringing in my ears loss of memory. Had loads of tests and all clear. I had this on and off for years. I've been fine now for a long time. For some reason it just popped into my head so I thought I would leave this message for anyone struggling with it.

I've been dealing with not being able to breathe properly, chest pains/tightness, lightheadedness, and other symptoms for the past couple months pretty much 24/7. It's terrible. I keep going to the doctors and getting tests done, but they all come back clear. I think I've diagnosed myself with like a million diseases and always come to the conclusion that I'm dying lol. It doesn't help that I've been googling my symptoms and looking up diseases and then actually FORMING those symptoms to those diseases. The brain is such a fragile place, and while I know it's just trying to protect me, its fricking terrifying. For all the people who suffer with this sorta anxiety, I know it's so hard to deal with and I believe in all of yall. This comment section alone makes me feel less alone and like there's actually people who understand what I'm going through.

Great videos thanks for these. For everyone on here know that all of your symptoms are all caused by anxiety. Dont make them separate issues, there is one issue. Your nervous system is in high alert and sensitive right now. There is nothing wrong with you this is what it is designed to do. It feels awful yes but know it cannot hurt you. This knowledge brings confidence and then you learn to just let it flow through you. Gradually it will desensitise and all the associated symptoms will disappear. its all linked. be brave and know that you will recover. Dont give up and trust the process. But it takes time. There is no quick fix be patient.

@@nylakhan5658 I am good thanks. I still have my moments but with the knowledge of the process it does not concern me anymore. I know what it is and know it will pass one day but it will heal at its own pace. You can assist this by not getting involved and looking after yourself. Baby steps is the way out. If you are suffering too know that however bad it feels it will heal in time....I hope you are ok and life is good for you 👍

@@Mrunal97 I hope you are feeling ok and if you are going through this I can assure you it will get better. Once you understand what is happening to you it all makes sense. Armed with that knowledge you begin to see its a set repeated pattern and by worrying and trying to wish it away just continues the cycle. It is just a hypersensitive state you are in and the body/mind is responding exactly how humans are designed. It will pass. Read Hope And Help for your nerves by Claire Weekes...or get the audio.... will help your understanding. Take it easy 👍

I used to think there was something so radically wrong with me. When he mentioned the loop of constant changing sensations and once one goes away and then all the sudden out of no where it’s another uncomfortable scary sensation that leds my mind to race, and i wasn’t even anxious before but know I am because I feel like I have some crazy diasese or disorder. I related to that so much. And now that I think about it, it’s been that way my whole life with the whole list of symptoms that come from anxiety. To the point where it distracts me from work, I wake up in the morning thinking what’s the new weird feeling I’m gonna have today and it’s literally killing my motivation/drive and I find myself depressed and sad because I know my fight and flight anxiety brain is constantly in a war with my logical brain. I feel super tight chest like i came breath, pain in my chest almost where I’ve thought I was having a heart attack thinking I needed to call 911😭 I’ll get random pulsating pains in my legs arms, I have brain zaps, pins in needles in my body and my head, sometimes I think I have bugs or something underneath my skin or crawling on or inside my head, ringing ears, I get extremely hot and feel my whole body get flushed like a hot flash, cluster tension headaches that or constantly moving throughout the day, numbness, chills, stomachs aches cramps, my back and neck feels so tight and cramped constantly from being so tense. It’s hard to focus on anything else, im thinking I have heart disease, gastrointestinal diseases, yesterday I couldn’t stop fixating that I had a brain tumor because of all the weird sensations and pressure i was having in my head. I was just miserable at work. Wasn’t myself. Constantly had to run to the bathroom to I could go to the bathroom and search up symptoms and feelings.. where to get doctor appointments.. what tests to get.. I was so scared and anxiety ridden all day. All I have to do is pay the money and get the MRIs and blood tests done and then maybe I can TRY and convince myself, it’s just anxiety and im not dying.

As a chronically ill person with an anxiety and panic discorder caused by my illnesses, this is such a vicious cicle for me. Lately it's been extreme. The breathing issues are the worst (and I also have asthma..) it's so important to trust yourself, know that your symptons are indeed symptons and don't have anything to do with something else. Even though something else can make it worse, the symptoms would probably not be there without the anxiety. It's going to be ok, but it's going to take a while. I need to trust my experience to know that my breathing issues are different from asthma attacks. It still sucks and hurts but it's not going to kill me. It's going to go away. I won't feel like this forever.

When I finally start feeling like I'm recovering, I get the dizziness and off balance feeling, like you explained with the bridge. Then the derealization feelings start, wondering if I'm forgetting stuff or if anything is real, and by then the whole day turns into a total mess no matter what I do or tell myself. I feel like that is my worse symptom and no matter what I do I cannot overcome it, it's so frustrating.

I can very much relate as my symptoms did change a lot too. For me personally I never really did get to a point where I believed the doctors etc. it was more like I gave up on the search because I was so fed up of all the rejections, disappointments and the time and money spent. Thats how I realized (in hindsight) that you will need to take a leap of faith and resist that urge to further figure out what else this could be or seeking out reassurance and so on.

Constant fear of dieing, fear of not being there for my family when they need me. Everyday i have constant fight or flight. My thoughts are always racing and i get those dreaded 2 words.........what if? For the last year i have been having a new symptom. I feel like there is a mini earth quake right under my feet, like im about to lose my balance and pass out and then the panic kicks in. I have been reluctant to tell anyone about this new feeling for the fear of people around me thinking im going crazy but your explanation about the car going over the bridge nailed what im experiencing. Soon as i see that,my anxiety calmed down instantly! For now,i feel relief just from watching this video. Thank you so so much!

I also think we don't fully realize *just how little* it takes to trigger our anxiety on a good day, without us being consciously aware of that. Lets say one has been having a few very good days, exercised, ate healthy, been productive... and while browsing the net one accidently sees news about a famous person's death. One doesn't even need to read that, the eye just needs a glimpse. In a matter of hours one may start feeling restless, edgy, perhaps even experience derealization briefly. Or feel oddly "overstimulated". And than comes that question seen in your videos: "Oh no, what's this that I'm feeling"... and suddenly even a shirt's label rubbing on your skin, or a light breeze touching your neck may feel like some "odd sensation" that can't be explained by anxiety... it must be a neurological disorder. You weren't REALLY upset and anxious. You were having a few good days. I know I'd be thinking things like; when I took that pricey head and spine MRI, I should have also asked them to image my liver as well. Maybe that was it. One can have normal levels of liver enzymes and ... or is it the kidneys? I've been urinating a lot. Can kidney failure present only with polyuria? And can it be detected with an ultrasound? ... and in no time I'd be in pain, or have muscle spasticity, or indigestion... sometimes the very symptoms and signs of the conditions I've read about. I think our recoveries will be far more consistent and productive when we take a " *leap of faith* " the video spoke of, and realize that maybe those 23 specialists and 47 diagnostic tests were enough, and we may only need a mental health expert for awhile.

@@KiwiMike I don’t think we ever completely ever recover from anxiety. But I can say I am 99.9% recovered. Mine lasted over 4 years. I couldn’t drive anywhere by myself except work which is 7 miles away. Sometimes I would get half way there and have to turn around and go back home and try again later. I can still feel it at times trying to jump on me again but now I know what it is and I can think myself through it. The body sensations don’t scare me any more so I don’t go into the panic mode. I promise you, if I can get so much better anyone can. I went to the ER 10 times the first year after it hit me. I was 56 years old and had never had any problems with anxiety. It hit me out of the blue and it was on! I understand anything you could be going through. I think I am stronger for having went through it although I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy, it can make you stronger. I thought I had every disease out there and would Google for hours upon hours. There was nothing wrong with me, I’m still here and stronger than ever. I know now that I can get through just about anything. When we recover from anxiety we can do anything. You will get through this. I promise you will.

OMG this video is exactly how i feel. Its so hard when I’m not stressed or anxious but i get sensation of anxiety attack:/ Out of nowhere i get it. I research my symptoms thinking there is something wrong with my heart or pre-stroke. This sensation🎉 creates more anxiety. This video is so right!! Sounds and light triggers me cause my body super sensitive:/ I don’t know how to tone it down!! I do exercise and yoga and it helped and feeling good for couple of days feeling almost back to normal but all of sudden i get it again. Yes hyper aware/alert. Yes positive mind even though during anxiety attack helps. I try to preoccupy myself. Just do stuff get my mind focus on something else just for even few minutes at a time helps. Yep. I felt like I was listening to myself. I always had anxiety but the health anxiety started a few months ago over a health scare and it’s been brutal ever since. The way I see it- it’s a manifesting of my general anxiety only worse because I’m hyper focused and sensitive to everything; pain in my eye/headache? I must be having an aneurysm right? Heart feels like beating slow? Even though I’m in great shape so my resting heart rate is gonna be slower, I have some heart disease right? .. breathing issues, it goes on and on. I’ve had so many Tests and focused so much time and effort and energy it created a whole thing. But there’s a part of me that also knows how crazy H.R. sounds sometimes. Other people don’t get it. Why would they? But we do. My advice- sit with it. Accept it. Shrug it off. We’re all gonna die one day anyway, so whatever. Give it to God and stay off google at ALL COSTS and be kind to yourself. I’m always here if you wanna talk, wherever you are or whatever your going through. Stay strong , guys. We can get through this and live happy lives 🙏💪

Been dealing with mine off and on since 2017. I workout and actually encourage myself by putting myself through rigorous exercising and knowing my heart is performing normally. I’ve been through every possible heart testing, echo, e.p. Study by an electrophysiologists as well as certain dye inserted in the vein in order to see blood flow to the heart which is a cardiac ct scan, as well as checking cholesterol levels came back normal, blood testing as well came back normal. Extreme migraines before actually always seeing floaters as well, shocking pains in head, blurred vision. Tight neck, and shoulders muscles. Facial pain and shocking sensation. Ears feels as if something is in them shooting pains in there as well, weird feeling like my ear drum is popping. Chest tightness weird sensation of muscles feeling heavy in the costochondral joints made me think it was my heart. As well as chest muscles tight and jumping. Having internal tremors inside the body, never being settled overall. Limps feeling numb and heavy, sensation on something on the surface of my skin as if it’s crawling on me I have to check or sometimes I can’t tell and I feel crazy in public when I’m trying to check because I can’t tell which is it. Legs feeling like there’re sinking in quick sand. Feeling off balanced as well vertigo. Instant sensation to go to restroom whether urine or bowel movement as well. I can go on but just know we all in this together and may God continue to bless us to get through it and overcome every single day and battle we aren’t alone at all ❤😊

My first mind keeps telling my second mind that’s it’s okay I’m not in danger but my second mine refuses to listen but instead keeps sending painful signals all across my body. At first I thought something wrong with me. I did echo on my heart, x-ray on my lungs, ct scan on my brain and blood test in general and the results show I’m normal. @@niohx just tell yourself that it’s anxiety. If you get the symptom don’t react to it. Try and do something that you enjoy doing but are still able to feel the pain in your stomach. If you show your brain that your fine when your stomach hurts it will gradually signal that your not in danger. Overtime your stomach pain will gradually get better and the pain will decrease. I even had those periods in which I thought that I had forgotten how to breath... its so weird... kind of like I had to manually take breaths or else I just wouldnt breath at all. Of course I am not a doctor and cant diagnose but COPD at 26 is extremely unlikely and if you want to have that reassurance, COPD is diagnosed with very simple tests.

@@richardadd8131 thank you so much for the well wishes. i would like to report that after about 5 months of somewhat intense weekly therapy sessions/use of emergency anxiety meds, and serious commitment to eating well, very very slowly becoming more active, and managing my anxiety in the ways that worked for me, i am considering myself fully recovered both from my post-covid symptoms and my health anxiety. i got lucky, i think, to have resources and PC symptoms that did actually improve, but it took a lot of work. i’ve figured out a lifestyle that works for me and i always have my coping mechanisms on deck. it was ROUGH but it was worth it and i have a new appreciation for my life and my loved ones and all the peace and joy i find every day, even in small moments. i hope you are well too. also, if you are reading this and you are someone who is dealing with severe health anxiety, i’d like you to know that you are stronger than you feel and you can find your way to somewhere better than where you started. it sucks and it’s hard and it hurts but it’s possible and i believe in you. do what you need to do to get better. ❤️

I’m working on that. I’ve had strong setbacks since July 2020 (time that I started my journey). My usual issue is waking up in panic with chest pain during the night. This last week I’ve worked on lowering the hour I go to sleep and wake up at 8am every day. I’ve slept good for 2 days in a row with little to no problems at night. Sadly, last night I had a small stomach ache and I think that was the reason I kept waking up in panic and no air. I hope to keep improving.

I have been through periods that extends to months suffering from anxiety and worrying, and i had severe symptoms such as high heart beating, tension headaches that lasts 24/7, even when the stressor is absent i still experience these symptoms.. What i did was primarily practicing positive self-talk, accepting symptoms at the right moment no matter it was painful, and remind myself with the main goal is TO OVERCOME WHAT CAUSED ME STRESS IN THE FIRST PLACE, i started to recall my thoughts, and noticed i have many negative ones that built up recently bcs of the stressor respond, i identified and recognized my first thought that caused me overreaction, so i practiced a technice of positive thinking, is to focus mainly on one idea (the root of remains thoughts) to solve the problem fully, and practice the opposite positive version of this boss thought, once it pops up i courage myself by reminding myself to live normally but with more strong me and that i'll certainly be recompensed to my efforts, And yes, finally it worked. What caused me to have faith all of the process and to insist strongly, is having faith in god, prayer really helped me alot to overcome such these scary and horrible situations! and one another thing, now here is the problem.. i still not figure out that why im experiencing this again.. but this time without high heart-beating, a tension headache and eczema, eczema turned worse bcs of anxiety, i still believe that its test from god, But i need more details and steps to truly overcome the situation. what do you suggest? Im trying to not pay attention and try to focus on new activities and doing daily exercise, but somehow It's still there and i cant get rid of it, any suggestions/advices? I'll appreciate it so much! I cant give up now after all of these struggles neither you, i believe with someone patience and consistency we can definitely overcome!

I have been also dealing with shortness of breath for years and years. It comes on out of the blue, mostly when I think I am not anxious. Been to several doctors over the years & most do not even understand anxiety. Not sure why this happens when you are not even feeling anxious. Thank you for sharing this video. I had moments where I think my anxiety disappeared, then all of a sudden it comes on like a strong rainstorm when I am not even feeling anxious. Does anyone else have shortness of breath?

Hey everyone. You’ve convinced yourself you’re not safe. If you can find a way to convince your mind and body you are safe, do whatever it takes to relax, (for me it was melt method and a good reflexologist) give it time, and you will slowly recover. Breathe slowly all day long.

you should get checked out by a heart doctor and your own doctor!! for some people it’s normal for a heart rhythm to be off sometimes and for other people with anxiety problems, it’s a matter of doing a little rewiring. never hurts to get checked out though (that’s what i did for chest pain and palpitations. apparently my heart is fine.)
