He's a pretty chill and classy guy. He's known for participating in charity and his divorce was cleanly settled out of court unlike most celebrity shit shows.
Just being a good sport about it will get you a ton of goodwill. Taylor should've met Charles, yeah they artificially stuffed the ballot, but he was a legit fan wasn't he? And half of her fuckin catalogue is about not judging people on their looks.
Pretty sure the deaf kids would have actually appreciated the T. Swift music as well - "deaf" doesn't necessarily mean "can't get any enjoyment from music". They could've turned into a positive PR stunt and a good opportunity to do something for disabled people, or at the very least to virtue signal a bit. But they decided to take a PR black eye instead.
@@isapu1948 I get not sending Bieber to Best Korea, and I get not performing a concert at a school for the deaf, but cancelling the Biggest Fan poll because you designed a shitty website and 4chan trolled it, and then calling Charles Z creepy is pretty petty.
If you read a lot of the news about her (especially after 2015), its very clear that she is kind of a petty and horrible woman. FFS, she tried to trademark the year 1989. *(UPDATE: or it's clear that they paint her as one. I'm not that invested in her, so I apologize for believing the media about anything. That was my bad. But, my god did her PR team make her look bad with the Charles and the Trademark thing.)* Not that I blame you if you dont want to do that....
Reminds me how when Bayonetta won that poll they said she was the top choice “in Europe” and I think they said Japan too in that sentence but I don’t remember. Point is they left out the US Cause the US had stupid characters (I think the top two were Shrek and Goku) that they didn’t want to give attention to them. Lmao
I work in rural Alaska and have a friend who works in Kodiak- the Pitbull concert is still talked about and a big deal, and many of the families in town have pictures with him up on their walls. It's not as "rural Alaska" as most would think- I mean, I look at them as a metropolis for having a Walmart- but it's definitely the kid of place where a Pitbull visit would be the talk of the town for years and years.
New Zealand was gonna change its flag a while ago and they had a website where people could share and upvote their new designs. One of the popular ones was called "laser kiwi". It obviously didn't get put as an option for the referendum but it was famous enough to become a New Zealand meme.
@@korhol2065 2 ways. Pull a Mr Worldwide and 1-up 4chan or make their goal unattainable by sheer unwilling to leave their caves. Like the quarantine atm
anti impetus, they just put every widely recognized country in the world and slapped it on the polls no matter the political situations or conflict in the countries.
Agreed. Quite shameful actions of these journalists. He did listen to her music because of the "don't judge a book by its cover" kinda thing the music has going for it, but they judged him by his cover. Don't think the cutout is bad either: Just some dude trying to have a bit of fun in his life.
I live in Alaska, I remember him going to Kodiak was a big deal even though we get big artists at our state fair all the time but for one to go to a remote place like Kodiak was pretty cool of him
I dated a deaf girl years ago. She did indeed have a favorite music group. Tribe Called Quest. She loved their beats. Its a shame Taylor Swift assumed that hearing impaired people are ineligible to enjoy a concert. She could've got someone to sign her lyrics
Pitbull was the only celebrity to ever figure out that the best way to deal with and overcome "the hacker named 4chan" is to play along, humor them a little and not allow yourself to get fucking triggered. Perhaps he's more deserving of his ironic following than I thought.
Pitbull is a grown man with friends and family and a successful life. He's coming from a place that younger starlets with money and fame but nothing else can't hope to match.
Nah manipulating polls is something anyone on the internet can do. Have you heard of those Big Brother shows? The ones where a bunch of people are put in a house and people watch them live for some reason? Well, last year's edition in Brazil ended with the penultimate contestant to be eliminated getting 99.8% of the votes. Then the next one was eliminated with 99.9% of the vote Some dumb NB artist won but at least they killed everyone's joy
I got to speak with Pit Bull in Hawaii when I was in the Army (met a lot of celebs there actually). He was extremely nice, well spoken, all for positive vibes, and just a really neato guy to speak with.
I love the mindfuck he went into about how "Kodak" translated to "Kodiak", rather than just showing how simply obvious the word "Kodak" sounds similar to "Kodiak".
Taylor should've gone to the school for the deaf and just pumped the bass/volume so they could *feel* the music. Also deafness is relative, so some could be able to kinda hear. edit: the replies have suggested using balloons to feel the music & similar stuff maybe somebody at the school was a fan then went 100% deaf; bet they'd still like to *see* a concert.
That is actually what deaf people do. Just because they can't hear doesn't mean their brains are incapable of enjoying music; it's the pattern that our brains find pleasing. When deaf people have a house party, they play the music loud enough to feel the vibrations. Source: 10% of students at my school are deaf.
She should've at least shown up, the fucking asshat. Would've made their day. Ah, but I bet she fights for some random rights and is an activist, and donates to charities and all that shit. Showing up to a school to make some kids' day? Nope.
When the University of North Dakota ditched "fighting sioux" for "fighting hawks" they had a mascot naming contest. Mike lead most of it before being removed. Mike hawk
i recently moved to alaska and yes, pitbull’s visit is still takes about. multiple of my friends families flew to kodiak for the show by far the best thing that’s ever happened to alaska
reminds me of the time a hard rock / heavy metal radio station in my country did a countdown of the 1000 most popular metal songs of all time. 1000 songs, weeks of anticipation. a bunch of heavy metal fans sat through 1000 songs to hear what the greatest metal song of all time was, and the #1 song was announced.... Kiss, by Prince. They went apeshit. The radio DJs had to formally apologize. They had no idea the online poll had been manipulated until the last minute. And this was in the days before bots, btw. Someone very determined had to sit there and manually vote for Kiss by Prince, hundreds of thousands of times, to beat out 1000 other songs and piss off a bunch of metalheads. It was glorious. I was ten at the time, and it was at that tender age I learned the fine art of trolling.
He forgot about that one time when the couple let the internet vote in a poll on whether they should abort their child or not and 4chan couldn't decide which decision was better: Aborting or letting the child grow up and know that it's parents let it be decided on by the internet
Mark hamill tried to force his son and girlfriend to abort their baby Imagine growing up and when you're old enough to use the internet you find out your grandparents tried to have you murdered before you were even born
Hope this doesn't start an argument but I noticed something. I'm not trying to be political but: 4chan is mostly conservative/alt-right, so by extension most of them would be pro-life. Most would likely consider abortion to be murder. This is not meant to start a political argument, but that is how 4chan would see things based on their political alignment. Most people on RU-vid are a different political alignment. No comment on my political alignment. BUT From 4chan's perspective they tried to commit murder And they...couldn't decide if they wanted to kill someone or not... THEY COULDN'T FUCKING DECIDE
Just found this channel. Holy F these videos are well made. The narrator voice couldn't be more perfect. And I cant imagine how long it takes to compile and edit the clips.
For the Taylor Swift and school poll, honestly that deaf school won. They got a shiton of money and didn’t have to worry about Taylor’s security costs, accommodations, etc.
Nice green texts. Also you have a sweet, milky voice that youtube has shoved with a thick,bulbous,demonetization/deletion to ruin it but in the process you have risen from the ashes like a phenix reborn anew and you seek vengeance and redemption. For you are,”Punished Mr.Greentext”
In 2011 the University of York put up a poll to name their new quiet study room. The overwhelming winner was of course "The Brian Blessed Centre For Quiet Study".
DammitSinged I used to love Phil but the last 6 months he started to get really bad and 60% of the things he covered started to be just drama shit youd read on tmz. Couldn't take it seriously after 2 weeks in a row of covering the same things.
This video reminded me of a poll made to give a name to a new bridge built in Bari, South Italy They trashed the result, but in our hearts its true name will always be "Harambe bridge"
They trashed the original poll where yeet cannon was over double 2nd place. There was so much backlash from the gun community they eventually held another poll with yc9 vs one other name and the 2nd name got like 50 votes total lmao.
I never understood why they cancelled these polls from the trolling instead of just declaring the 2nd place as the winner because it’s the first “real” participant
That would demonstrate what a corrupt authoritarian government would do And no liberal person wants to do that And to be fair, they won fair and square
@@shianeruu4359 lol wut? I don't think the marketing firms care because it wasn't fair since most if them used bots to up the vote, which aren't legitimate entries I might add
Both walmart and pitbull really needed the good PR with walmart being the trailer trash Target and Pitbull....rhyming Kodak with fucking Kodak and just in general being kind of a transparent shill.
that would inflict heavier PR Damage because on top of evading responsibility, it shows that the organizer has abolished all of it's integrity by choosing the second/third place winner instead of the first place winner in the first place (pun unintended).
2019 Bonus: Gun Manufacturer Hi-Point held a poll to name their next pistol and "Yeet Cannon" won by a long shot. Hi-Point refused to name it that, which resulted in a ton of memes and protesting and even other gun companies throwing shade at them. They caved and you can buy a "Yeet Cannon" now.
@Rich Kendall The .45s don't give a damn about barrel obstructions either... unless you literally weld it shut, or thread the inside of the barrel and screw a bolt down into it.
EmperorFaiz The military tends to change the name of guns when they adopt them, so best case scenario would probably be the “HP-G1 AKA “Yeet Cannon” or something like that.
I may have commented on this vid already(my memory is getting as clogged up as IH's Vape), but it's great to see Jonathon Pie clips in this awesome vid.
As someone who's a sign language enthusiast, I imagine how incredible id would be if Taylor had just accepted the pool's result and hired ASL interpreters for her show. Deaf people might not hear the lyrics, but they can feel the music's vibrations and have just as much fun with it.
So much they could have done with, she could have organised to teach her existing (or some additional) backup dancers to sign the lyrics and work it into the choreography... could have been an epic win, instead they let the /b/tards win because apparently they're not as smart as Pitbull's team.
