Zeus is an amazing game changer. It takes just under 5 minutes to create a simple yet engaging mission on the fly to play with your buddies. And the remote control feature adds a ton of gameplay opportunities, being able to take control of allies or the opposition, to spice up combat scenarios in a new way. Best part about Zeus: It is the framework Bohemia Interactive is using to develop the full 3D editor. Can´t wait to see what they manage to do with it.
Today I show you how anyone with Arma 3 can use Zeus in the Editor. This can be great fun and its an excellent way of testing your skills by building your own missions.

Your game seems remarkably smooth, you mind sharing your rig and/or what settings you turned down? I have 2500k@4,5GHz and GTX970 and unless I set object quality to normal and sacrifice a lot of the viewing distance I get drops down to 30 fps just flying around in a helicopter in the editor, multiplayer is unacceptable...
Max You must remember that what is really taxing on Arma is AI and multiple scripts. If you open the editor and place just your unit in the map, I'm preatty sure you can bump everything up like Luetin did in this video (like 20000 m viewdistance etc). I can do it too on my rig. (i7 3.5 GHz, GTX760). But then as you add 50 AI foes, some other friendly AI, scripts that every frame has to check different things etc. You'll start to get huge drops in frame rate.
Marco Cattaneo I've never put anything more than a Ghosthawk on the map to fly around in myself and still get the frame drops especially in towns. I don't know, my specs don't seem that bad I mean the cpu is old but still overclocked easily competes with Haswells.
wow, i was playing like this and making maps in unity 3d free with free assets from the store, and then i heard of ARMA 3, and this is better cuz the map is already completed and you just place objects down...and the game actually works like a game because its a game and not just a stupid unusable prototype :)...im getting this game with my new computer, just because of this cool Zeus mode
Thank you for showing this, I like your vedio very much and I have a question to ask that is I saw you are using JSRS Dragon Fire mod, so do you have problems suck as lack of sound of MX rifles and 5.56 rifles? I do have this pronlem and Dragon fire still dosen't update for new version, so thank you again man ; )
When using Ares, do i have to click on every single tank to make them do an artillery attack or is there a way of giving the command to multiple vehicles at a time? /// Haven't played for a while and now I can't get my mouse control working from free view to actual mouse control. How do you get the UI interface main menu like you have it. I recently bought it a few months ago during the summer sale and it has a completely different screen. Please help because it gets confusing at times attempting to go through the menu.

I've been looking on youtube for the video I saw a while ago using Zeus to hide the enemy AI's in buildings. So when you start the mission, you don't know where they are hiding in the buildings. Do you have any idea how to do this...You are the expert with Zeus.
How do you get zeus to work as a virtual entity though? like as another team, in the game, called zeus. I have it made, it shows zeus, i can join in but then it says "curator not synced to the game master module" and it just shows me the blue sky. How can i sync the zeus to my game master module?
How do you get more maps for Arma? Is it all bought as DLC and micro transactions or are there free ones I can get somewhere? I only played on one map for battle royale and the other things

So are u pretty much telling me all i need to do is go to moldules and hit the zeus button i dont need to download it or buy a dlc how do i get the 3d 2d feature to work so i can use zeus and eden editor
I'm confused. when I load into editor from menu, my main menu looks different and so does my editor. my main non live editor has thr same ui as the Zeus editor, not the one shown at the start. and I can't find Zeus in it. although steam says Zeus is installed.
The video is nearly 2years old, and things changed. but its still the same, when you in the editor Press(F5) or on the 3 boxes in the top right corner, and then on the right side you will find Zeus at the bottom of the list, click on it and it will open up more options then the 5th option or so is "Game master" place it down somewhere along side with a player from (F1) section and start it up, default Zeus button ingame should be (Z). Have fun :D
zeus is not a editor its a kind of gamemode so you cant save them what you can do is build the mission in a live servers and make your friends join when its done
just go to the multiplayer menu and click on new then put it to internet and give it a name so your friends can know whch one is your server then chosse the zeus missions
I'm sorry if Luetin mentioned it in the video and I missed it, but.. I saw him remote controlling AI units in a single click, what button is it? I always have to go to the modules section...
How does one access Zeus after the Apex update if we can't even go to the editor? If I click 'editor' on the start menu and click a map, it brings up eden only, I can't find the old editor. Any help?

I can't turn back to my original character after being in zues, I'm running RHS, ACE, CBA, and CUPs terrians but surely those aren't interfeing with zues... I had rebinded my key to / but I don't think that would be a issue either, sos
i think you just put down a squad click on the one you want to be and click playable or something like that but i do know the button you click is a box that will fill in or unfill hope that helps
maybe an update on this is necessary. my day off and ive spent all day trying to figure out how to start this zeus thing, with NO JOY. the new menu system is totally different and im not having any luck. :{
+Corrender in the editor put 2 guys, 1 as player and 1 as playable, put a zeus module, and then use the sync (looks like a chain on the left bar) and sync it to both of the guys
The worst thing on servers is when you only have 10 people on but there are still 5 pilots...... like wtf if you wanna fly with your amazingly shitty piloting skills just go into zeus ffs
