I am from Gallipoli. I am a Turk. I respect all those soldiers ,fight as last gentelmen in the world. Respects for all Anzacs and Turks ,they are sleeping under same soil , they are brothers now.
We are extremely proud of our heritage, we attend our Anzac marches, Remembrance Day. We pay tribute to all our man and women, who made the biggest sacrifice to allow us to live the way we do. To be honest, the USA, could learn a thing or too, I just learnt they celebrate Memorial Day-similar to Remembrance Day…with parties. Now learning that was confusing as heck:
@@Lana-Moran The British and the Commonwealth nations don't glorify war. It's a necessary evil to be mourned. Our patriotism is a quiet thing, no flag waving. We get the job done, come home and remember those we left behind.
My father was Australian Special Forces in Vietnam, passed away riddles with ptsd at the young age of 63. A hero and missed very much, rest in peace now dad xx
In Vietnam a Marine general said we wasn’t concerned about being attacked. He said the Australians are on my right flank and the ocean on my left. I know they’ll both be there in the morning. Semper Fi my Aussie brothers and sisters.
ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Core) I am an ex-aussie digger and we must never forget our kiwi brothers and sisters who stand side by side with us and shed blood in the same dirt as us, lest we forget
We haven't forgotten them, but they may have forgotten us!! Leaving the Five Eyes program isn't exactly a friendly move.... I love NZ, _but they should remember what the hell we fought against before they turn into it!_
@@NearlyH3adlessNick How dare you insinuate that Kiwi may have forgotten "Us" (Australian) - On what grounds do you make this assumption? I am a Kiwi - living in Australia - and attend, along with my family and grand children - Anzac Service every year to remember not just the Kiwi men and women who lost lives - , broken and wounded in spirit, but ALSO our Australian comrades who gave their lives in the cause of war/freedom.
@@roycebaucke2715 Tell that to them! They just backed out of sharing their intelligence with us and have been trading more and more with China, who is currently in a trade _war_ with us! So, I don't know, maybe those two pretty solid red flags!?! NZ is being run by an AltLeft crazy person who probably thinks the Taliban are brothers who need to be protected and that any CCP aggression in the South China Sea is warranted because, well, it's named after them, of course?! Or some other stupid talking point with no military or historical context at all. Please explain how the Kiwis current posturing is hinting at a military alliance *at all?!?!* I may have missed it but God damn, ANZAC spirit shouldn't be able to be hidden this well.
Unless the Chinese are allowed to overwhelm the demographic and find another 'Puppet' like Jacinta Adern to do their bidding (Not to mention the 'Muslim Sleepers' in New Zealand. We have far worse challengers in Australia and if NZ and Australia are not on the same page we,ll stand fucked. Chinese money in Vanuau,Samoa,Tonga,New Guinea and Bouganville are direct threat to ANZACS.
Being old and an American Vet, I want to thank our Brothers and Sisters from down under as y'all have been in every major war beside the U.S.A. Thank You!!!
And they've been some bad MFs the whole way too. WW1, WW2, and Vietnam in particular.. The Australians may not have been huge in number.. But they always scared the holy hell out of whoever was fighting on the other side.
Aw I'm so sorry for your loss! My grand dad was in the war too... I love him with all my heart and he is still going strong thankfully... R.I.P all of his mates who passed, we will never forget you and your braveness! Those who are still alive, good on ya mates! I
I am so proud to be part of 65000 years of Australian Culture, a mix of indigeneous first nations people, and all the immigrants who came after those first people, we are ONE.
I am Australian. Thank you to all those 30,638 men and woman who protect our country so we can be safe. You are the reason we believe in angels Lest we forget
*Plz read the whole thing I wrote it myself* Forgetting the real heroes who kept us alive The soldiers will march of on to the beat The songs playing as the ships pulled out Brave and joyfullness is what they felt Young to old From weak to strong The heroes sail off Some maybe even the last time being seen Years and years these heroes fight Wining or losing There is nothing to smile about Dead bodies cover the ground Soldiers Horses Dogs Donkeys and mules All dead after fighting for us Fighting to keep us alive Many may say it was a dumb decision to make Marching off to war But nobody knew what was to come Nobody knew the horrific terms they’d suffer Regret and disappointment each solider felt The war was not as it first seemed Walking through a battlefield Many would discover the soldiers Lifeless and still Staring up in pain Each trench filled with bodies Traps And Spirits Spirits of the long gone heroes The heroes that we look up to To this day and forward The 11th minute Of the eleventh hour Of the eleventh day Of the eleventh month This was when it all changed For the better or for the worst The war was over Cheers erupting from the beaten And battered soldiers As they shared cigars and beer with Their sick and wounded aquatintances The ones the fought with side by side As the war was progressing Sailing home maybe the best moments for some soldiers And for others the worst The ships docked as the crowd stayed silent Horrified by the sight in front of them The soldiers were sick and wounded The state some were in Way worse then dying The war grounds were growing flowers Flowers that seemed to show spirits As the flowers each grew 4 red petals Resembling the mark of blood They were the only life left On the deserted spaces of land Now each 11th hour of the 11th of November We respect these heroes Giving 1 minute of silence to remember To grieve And to put ourselves into their situation at war As the ceremony comes to an end We repeat the words The words that we all know The words that show that we still remember Lest We Forget
I’m so happy those young men faught for us and I’m Auzzie but ty for supporting us soldiers ❤❤❤ Also my teacher had a mum who was one of the nurse and she is 100! And is still alive❤❤❤
Anzacs are some of the toughest bastards in the world. Would much sooner have them as an ally than an enemy. Thinking of you tough bastards from the U.K. 🇦🇺🇳🇿❤️🇬🇧
Australians all let us rejoice; For we are one and free; We’ve golden soil and wealth for toil; Our home is girt by sea; Our land abounds in nature’s gifts; Of beauty, rich, and rare; In history’s page let every stage; Advance Australia Fair; In joyful strains then let us sing; Advance Australia Fair Beneath the radiant southern cross; We’ll toil with hearts and hands; To make this commonwealth of ours renowned of all the lands; For those who’ve come across the seas; We’ve boundless plains to share; With courage let us all combine; To Advance Australia Fair; In joyful strains then let us sing; Advance Australia Fair
We went to Gallipoli. So sad. On the beach a soldier had scratched in to a rock. Mum they are killing me. Im dying. It was so upsetting for both sides. Xxx
This video bring back memories of when my mother told me the stories of my great great grandfather who fought at Gallipoli. He was a great man. May he and his mates Rest In Peace knowing there sacrifice helped this beautiful country thrive. Ronald Wadham 1898-1915
I am not a bogan thank you . I wasn't the one who killed the 1st Aussies, It was the English. I have great respect for the indigenous Australians. I give my time to improve this country all the time
Andrew Skinner where the fuck in my entire comment that servicemen and women were bogans? I was alluding to the fact that being patriotic or hanging a flag is considered as such by some people
Rest in peace To All the Brothers and Sisters!! Thank You, We Will Never Forget. Hand the stories down to the kids, and all the friends. We will Never Give Up, We Will Never Surrender💪🙏 I Will Fight With All You With Me, I Will Die FREE Till My Last Breath!! Rest In Peace Y'all, Meet you, See you all When I'm called Home!!
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old , age shall not weary them nor the years condemned , at the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them. Lest We Forget For everyone that lost someone in the war, I am very sorry for your loss, but you must know that they saved our country and made us proud, even though it meant the sacrifice of their own lives. The war was uncalled for and in my opinion, unnecessary, but they made us who we are today. They taught us how to care for loved ones with unconditional love and they were the ones that made us see how great life actually is, if you make it as good as you can and take in all of the smallest good things in life. Do not lock yourself away and think 'I don't care anymore' because you need to! Your life could be gone within a second, and the last things you would have felt were anger and selfishness. When I pass, I would want to be around family, happier than ever, and doing something I love. I don't want my family to think I don't care, because I do. I do care, and I will stay this way till I die. Make it that way with yourself too!!
Agreed mate VERY sad day. But we as Australians can stand together just as they did the faithful day.. and stand in remberance in our drive ways. Proud and thankful for their every sacrifice to make this the best country In the world 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🤙🤟🤙🤘
I've always loved this song, ever since it was first taught to me in kindergarten. It's a song about an ideal, not preaching any kind of supremacy or nationalism. A song that's as much about the land as it is about the people who live upon it. In Australia, we're one people, no matter their race, no matter their original homeland. It's something that more people should appreciate.
I am also an ex-Aussie Digger and i don,t have the words to articulate the depth of love i have for my country Australia. I have cross trained in the U.S,NZ,BRITAIN,POLAND and CANADA and despite 2 of those allies having better armaments,We did well. I AM WORRIED THAT THE ' Politication of the ADF wlil be our Deathknell'. When the Marxist 'Human Resource crowd' ,The Unionists and 'Ambulance Chasing lawyers are allowed to introduce 'The Globalist' doctrine.....We will fall or fight.
I come from the dreamtime From the dusty red soil plains I am the ancient heart The keeper of the flames I stood upon the rocky shore I watched the tall ships come For forty thousand years I've been The first Australian I came upon the prison ships Bound down by iron chains I've worked the land Endured the lash And waited for the rains I'm a settler I'm a farmers wife On a dry and barren run A convict and a free man I became Australian I'm the daughter of a digger Who sought the mother load The girl became a woman On the long and dusty road I'm a child of the Depression I saw the good time come I'm a bushy, I'm a battler I am Australian We are one But we are many And from all the lands on earth we come We'll share a dream And sing with one voice I am, you are, we are Australian I'm a teller of stories I'm a singer of songs I am Albert Namatjira And I paint the ghostly gums I am Clancy on his horse I'm Ned Kelly on the run I'm the one who waltzed Matilda I am Australian I'm the hot wind from the desert I'm the black soil of the plain I'm the mountains and the valleys I'm the drowned and flooding rains I am the rock I am the sky The rivers when they run The spirit of this great land I am Australian We are one But we are many And from all the lands on earth we come We'll share a dream And sing with one voice I am, you are, we are Australian We are one But we are many And from all the lands on earth we come We'll share a dream And sing with one voice I am, you are, we are Australian I am, you are, we are Australian
Royal Australian Regiment, i am a son of our Army, i am Australian, i will place my self in danger and have done for all of you,,, hehehehehehe cos thats how we role, thumbs up guys,
I respect everyone that fought in Gallipoli WW1 WW2 veteran war and more in Gallipoli the Australians landed in the wrong area and still gave off one hell of a fight! And I am glad that some of them survived but I pray for the fallen (and there might’ve been aboriginals there too but they aren’t on the list so we don’t know how many died and so many people back then were racist (that’s just how it was don’t judge them for that mindset) but Rest In Peace to all those who died 🙏♥️🙏
Una canción en resaltar el valor de las fuerzas australianas durante las dos guerras mundiales que fueron simplemente sobresalientes y admirables por su coraje desplegado en el fragor de esas feroces batallas libradas.
The thing that makes me sad is the people today, I am an AAC Australian Army Cadet and people dont give a shit about anzac's it makes me sad so angry too, AU#1
Watching this very moving video makes me realise how much these days we are really a bunch of wusses. How many would really go and fight for your country if the need arose??? Seriously!!!
