Definitely, the original voice acting and background music make the story telling more dramatic, immersive and, overall, better than in DE, but one has to appreciate the very good effort they did

@@Shangwuning_Floating I think each had their own charm, but i like the original more cuz in my opinion the huns are supposed to be nightmare-like for the narrator (he's a frenchman, right?)

The accent is better in the new one, but the actual voice acting is waaaaay better in the old one.

When I was a kid and still as an adult. The music on the original was much more dramatic and atmospheric. I almost shit myself at every chapter as a kid.

Yup! The "best" strategy is actually to get Bleda to attack the Iron Boar and then leave. Then you can cross the river, get the vils, and build the TC while the boar finishes off Bleda. When Attilia returns to the camp, he again gets a tribute of resources as well as control of Bleda's old TC.

I remember playing this mission, lure the boar and let Bledar fight the boar and save him, then fight him and the rest of traitors all by myself. Return with blood of Traitors.

The new voice acting is just... Very odd. Much prefer the old ones, though.

Whilst they are more authentic accents they lake the narrative pace and tone that the old ones did. There isn't enough build up. The different music track doesn't help either. Old Narrative: Sinister build up of a truly unsettling tale New Narrative: Breezy adventure time that is full of eager anticipation instead of dread.

Alternatively, you can kill the Scythian Prince, and wipeout green instead of red. It counts two enemies as well.

I love that they remade that game. I grew uo with it and i really love playing the remake. However the voice acting and wierd fog on the mad seems bad to me. Otherwise tho very good effort

The old one got my attention better than the new one, I wish they add options to change narrative and dialogue voice. EDIT: did the forgotten campaign in definitive edition have voice yet?

That's.... Not the only way you can pronounce his name. The way the narrator pronounced Aetius in the original was closer to the Italian "Ezio" (Italian for Aetius). + I grew up with the (g)old intros so I might be slightly biased.

I'm fine with the new voice acting, but I agree, that the huns' naration is better in the OG. The ingame voices are better in the DE though.

Yes it's much better but still on voobly with userpatch it was way better to the point where meta is changing due to bad melee units pathfinding

Yeah, the old Mangudai graphics certainly were confusing for a character with 0 range.

I might be wrong or might of missed it but isnt there a scenario where you can let the boar kill Bleda and then you gain control of the archers and Tarkens??

Yes. The one I know is when you get the boar to attack Bleda, run across the river to get the vils and build a TC while the boar kills Bleda, then run back to the camp to get all of the Tarkans and the Archers.
