Fun fact: Ornlu released 9 arabia TIerlists on yt since WK 5.7. The only civ that appeared on more than 1 tierlist (so discounting Sicilians, Burgundians, Bohemians, Poles) and never changed tiers was Britons (A Tier) - If you mix together sub-Tiers as one tier we get the following three civs unmoved by time: Aztecs, Britons and Mayans (Aztecs and Mayans where S+ Tier on WK 5.8) Again excluding sub-Tiers Indians were the most volatile civ, being the only civ having visited every tier at-least once. Including Sub tiers the Civ with the most different tiers (5) where: Berbers(S+, S, A, B, C), Incas(S+, S, A, A-, B), Indians(S, A, B, C, D) and Vietnames(A, A-, B, C, D) It is quite possible that I made a typo somewhere when copying the data from the videos^^

Very nice video Ornlu I really like you speak also about the weaknesses and strengths of the civilizations.

I wish a small general economy balance change - Gold Shaft Mining and Stone Shaft Mining cost reduced from 200f/150w to 150f/125w. Another option can be buffing their stats from 15% to 20% like lumbercamp upgrades.

I love how many of the C Tier civs have a quite solid Aztecs matchup. they are all really 1 tricky but their trick is really really good vs Aztecs. and suck vs. the A Tier civs. People underestimate how stupid Japanese agression is. they can get either the pre-mill drush timing, but then also the mill or a 20 pop MAA agression with both eco upgrades if they so chose. With Khmer i think the Range opening is actually way better than scouts when you expect the scout war. Regarding Magyars i started to think of them as Goth-like. In most matchups you can relax bc your lategame is almost unbeatable. You dont get the Goth powerspikes that get you out of the bad spots but the tradeoff is that you get to play with all the good units. Knights, Xbows, CAs, Hussars.

A lot of players research Horse Collar in early feudal/mid feudal. Only if you're going all out aggression you delay that. It just hurts your eco so much in early Castle age if you forego it.

Hera and viper make turks A-B+ due to the extra PA of light cav. I think i agree with u more, elite skirm is too important in castle age and pikeman is key in trash war. Also feel strange Abt Malay being C tier... If the extra 100 food for 2 vills are too much for feudal opening... So why not just extra 50 food for 1 vill and idle the TC for 25s??? The latter is considered a big bonus for Mayans, goths and fresh DE Persians!

I feel like going Khmer on KOTD Arabia is the number one way to lose the game in Feudal Age when you get overwhelmed by scouts and spears because you can't add your own defensive spears. They obviously have perks to compensate for the risk, but that's happened several times in KOTD.

I think Sicilians are definitely S tier in this aggressive Arabia version. With equal skills, you win feudal or go castle quicker, farm-wood timing is smooth for 3TC boom, a UT to stall the game for 5 mins, invincible pre-trash war Imperial age against many civs. Strong from beginning to the end and the single most broken bonus imo - you're not looking for 10 sec and you had enemy castle in key strategic location in your base controlling your half of your resources. Or a panic defensive castle that should never go up.

Hey, Mr Ornlu. i want to ask something. I want to main Byzantines. I know that Byzantines playstyle is rather slow and counter what your opponent is doing. What do you think Byzantines can do in midgame, beside the crossbowman play in the offensive play?

wait, pavise is actually useful on archers? afaik you usually skip archer armor and click imp first. and then... well you have to pay for it and it is just almost never as good as viet hp bonus. its good on condos though for sure

Dude, Bulgarians and Persians are not D tier, Bulgarians are really strong because Drush/MAA is really common, you can go anything you like in Feudal because of the cheap blacksmith upgrades (you can even go archers, believe it or not), in Castle age you can outboom your opponent with the cheaper TC's and then in Imp you have one of the best Hussars in the game. Persians is probably lower than Bulgarians because it's hard to get your military going but if you manage early game well it becomes one of the strongest civs starting in Castle age. The fact that other civs do what they do better is not a good reason to put them in D tier. Edit: C tier instead of D tier

I believe Runestones is a much better map than arabia. Not sure why Runestones is being underplayed along with other maps like cenotes, Valley, ghost lake and Yucatan.
