The fact that even one of the top AoE2 players in the world didn't get gold first try on the tutorials is a good thing imo. The high standards for gold will encourage new players to practice and master the fundamentals and maybe even bring in fresh blood to the competitive scene. Still though, awesome and hilarious video. Hey, silver is still really good for a new player like you! If you're trying to improve I recommend watching daut or tatoh play against other high level players, that will definitely help you be able to get gold someday! Keep going fellow aoe2 noob!

Only managed to get it by buying stone for the 4th TC early (running after wood afterwards tho to build farms) and build a 5th TC. otherwise i would not have made all the villagers necessary. Tips for those who are struggling: all rally points on wood to prevent idle villagers. After you made sure you had all TC queued, relocate the wood choppers to farms one at each TC queue round. What makes us lose here is in this order #1 not having enough town centers to queue villagers fast enough and #2 not having farms to queue villagers, and #3 not having wood for farms. So rallying villagers to wood can help you gauge each bottleneck accordingly. Also after the 4th TC comes up you dedicate a villager to build two houses every time you complete two queue rounds. If you have enough wood queue 3 houses at a time so you don't have to worry about it.

This was the one I had most trouble with... I couldn't do it without using the market to immediately buy two TCs. Also when I played it, there was a bug where you could only click imp with a castle, not with monastery + university, which made it even harder, as now you needed 650 stone on top of everything else... I think it took me about ten tries to get gold in the end.

Honestly I do not blame Viper, I've been playing AOE2 for a few months now and Booming with 4 TCs is pretty hard.

I spended HOURS trying to earn a gold medal here...No way. Almost every time i was 10 seconds late, and in the last try, i just clicked when the countdown was 0:01. I tought i won, but surprise, SILVER medal again... I had the best strategy possible, and still no way...

I tried this one a few times trying to do things fast, concentrating on hot keys and the highest APM I could muster, but failed. Then I tried a final time and did things slowly and deliberately and got gold. I think when I try too hard, I make mistakes that messed everything up.

I mostly build 3 and build the fourth one in enemys base. But this challenge is different. Put the six vills on stone which build your second or third town center and you can build a castle and get gold before you research imp. Five vills on stone could also be possible, but its very close then and you may have to buy some stone so you need 900 gold then. I don't think you need the fourth town center. I try to get every mission on gold but this was one of the hardest to get.

Wow! This is a little different from the DE version. They added a few more challenges, and booming is after Fast Castle, not before. Anyway, I'm really struggling with the Booming challenge right now. I need another minute to get Gold😭😭😭😭😭

This is a bit late, but I just finished this myself and had an awful time getting gold. I had to go 5 TC boom, I just couldn't get gold on 3 TC's, I think it might actually be impossible. I like that it's difficult though, I just thought I was being dumb.
