"Erik the red will be remembered as the first vinking in the new world". The villigers that built the market, 12 houses and the TC: "I am a joke to you?"
would be funny had he actually done that, and when arriving in the new world was just one drunk guy claiming the settlements as his without any actual settlers noticing
@@illdeletethismusic Fun Fact: The word New World is something the Europeans came up with during the Age of Exploration which happened centuries after the Vinland Saga.
18:08 a truely pacifistic view there - monks and samurais of different races cuddling with each other. My pacifist heart melts away at such a beautiful sight!
He could only quote a few lines, though. Otherwise, you would have to explain why Gargarensis is talking about Don John of Austria, a guy who was born over two thousand years after his death.
Simply unbelievable, I have trouble just clearing these scenarios on normal difficulty without cheats and this madlad did it all without killing a single enemy unit. That's such a flex :). Keep it up T-West
Its just mastery and knowledge, as the AI behaves very dumb. Like you can trigger their entire army aggression with just one unit. Thats why AOE against human players is much better at least for entertaining battles.
It's also possible to full wall the shoreline on Lepanto. There are still a few spots where armies can land but they generally are stuck for a long time there. I assume that that would work to peacefully pass that scenario alongside the fireship bait, as an alternative to monks. But it might not hold long enough.
11:15 "Dim drums throbbing, in the hills half heard, Where only on a nameless throne a crownless prince has stirred, Where, risen from a doubtful seat and half attainted stall, The last knight of Europe takes weapons from the wall, The last and lingering troubadour to whom the bird has sung, That once went singing southward when all the world was young, In that enormous silence, tiny and unafraid, Comes up along a winding road the noise of the Crusade. Strong gongs groaning as the guns boom far, Don John of Austria is going to the war" -Lepanto , by G. K. Chesterton
6:30 In Manzikert I used siege towers to yeet some swordsmen over the wall, but the gate remained locked when i captured the city, so I had to mangonel the gate down.
If by "challenging their every decision" you mean killing Bleda, there is a "fix" for that, but the deathmatch that he mentioned... now that is a problem
Me : Geography is tough.. They expect us to draw rivers and mark cities ,mountain ranges and plateaus on the map T-West : The one kid who listens every geography class and draws an accurate Map
There is a few easier way to go. like wall off the shoreline in Lepanto so they can't land, and use Siege Tower to get through yellow's wall in Manzikert (destroy the gate with Mangonel), But you choose the harder way to do so, impressive! Also, In the HD version of Agincourt, I remember I converted a few villagers and use some tricks to gathered enough wood for Lumber Camp, eventually built my own city with docks and ships. I forgot how to did that (may be related to the farms), but that is another way to go. (Can't do it in DE since building are disabled) Edit: I started with 80 wood and converted 4 villagers, send them to crop woods, and build 1 farm together, so I can collect 80 wood. after that, I have 100 wood for the lumber camp.
I don't remember whether or not your start with Wood in Agincourt. But Villagers drop off Wood when they finish building a Farm. So if your Villagers carry more than 60 Wood, then you can gain Wood by having them finish the Farm (of course, you need 60 Wood to place the Farm to being with).
@@T-West yes, I managed to do it again, we start with 80 wood & 85 gold in HD Agincourt, enemy's villager can carry 20 wood, so I converted 4 villagers, send them to crop the tree, and build one farm together, I have 100 wood once I finished it. so here we go we can have a lumber camp and happy building. But I killed many in the process since they keep send units to me. it will be a challenge to do pacifist in this way.
this is what i was waiting for thanks mr t west never imagined lepanto done so easily i can't still even beat it on hard now back to luring those ships
11:40 - They rush in red and purple from the red clouds of the morn, From the temples where the yellow gods shut up their eyes in scorn. Lepatno, By ... Gargarensis, apparently.
@@T-West by the way, if you want to read more about the battles between the spanish and venetians and the turks for the Mediterranean, as a prequel for Age Of Empires 3 Act 1... I Suggest Empires of the Sea. It's a great book featuring... Lepanto and the siege of Malta!
I know you did a "making of a Pacifist run" video already, but i think doing a live stream of the planning and execution of one Pacifist run of a single scenario would be great entertainment! Not only do you put a lot of careful planning into every one but you also disect every scenario and their triggers to their most basic aspects! For someone who has played them time and time again for decades now it's just fascinating!
For me I saw an opportunity in manzikert to use a siege tower and long swordsmen to run into yellows base 6:08 so that I didn’t have to spam rams and then run in. To be honest it was like the first time I used the siege tower since they came out.
Lepanto has become so much more difficult, because the landings are now immediately after you start. Less than 5 minutes into the game the first cannon/jannissary transport arrives. No economy and no army. great Why can't they leave scenarios alone? If people want it more difficult, they should add another super hard mode
Me thinking T-West can't ever beat Menzikert because he can't get monks. T-West: Stalls out the Byzantines and wait for a entire hour to get a thousand of rams, and MONKS. 😔
6:09 When i was doing this scenario I used one siege tower with 10 longswords, it was enough :) No rams needed. After that you can make them neutral/enemy and destroy their gates with your 2 castles.
I remember playing through the scenario and thinking, "At last, a practical use for the Siege Tower!" For some reason, though, I couldn't ungarrison any units over the gate.
To take the Yellow TC in Manzikert, you can also have a scout distract each castle and use a siege tower to get infantry over the wall to go capture the TC... but then you have to use a mangonel to attack ground on locked ally gate.
There are 2 big custom campaigns for koreans: one is "Gwangaeto the great" (i'm at its 5th mission, it's very good), and "The Imjin War" (which I haven't tried yet, is set in the same war of the korean scenario in battle of the conquerors)
Used your strategies to finish Agincourt and Tours really quickly. Not without any kills, but still with comparatively little bloodshed compared to playing those battles traditionally.
