AoE2 WONDER Size vs. Reality! (feat. Urbifex) 

Aw man I grew up playing aoe sense 2004 and was always disappointed on the small size of the buildings in aoe1 and 2 but later 3 and 4 somewhat made it more bearable but deep down I’ve always wanted to see Al the buildings and characters full size it bin a dream of mine this video kinda itch that scratch thank you

I would definitely love love love to know more about that Tenochtitlan map, and the native american wonders in general!

Also, on the topic of Wonders, I wish they did unique Wonders for each AoE1 civ in AoE1DE or Return of Rome. It was a real missed opportunity.

For over 10 years, I've had an idea rolling around in my head for an AoE2 clone themed around Avatar: The Last Airbender, so seeing the Fire Nation Capital recreated in-game is very exciting.

You should have done a short showing the wonder from smaller to bigger. It's a popular format I've seen often, usually with astronomy or scifi stuff.

I visited "a lot" of AoE2 wanders, in fact when I travel I try to visit any of those if they are close enough. On my list there are already: Celts, Portuguese, Franks, Teutons, Burgundians, Bohemians, Romans, Huns, Byzantines, Hindustanis. And the old Britons one that now just appear in the scenario editor. I went to Samarkand but did not visited the Tatar one cos now is just the ruins of the foundations.

Great job. I also think its wild that this is the first place I heard about TheViper finally had the baby.

Every wonder should serve as unique building with unique effects.

Someday, we will have a RTS game where not only are buildings of proper size (how can the military barracks be just 6 men in length?), but they're entire OBJECTS to be used as tactically as you'd like. Stuff like line of sight and projectile collision. All impeded by the bricks and beams in front of them.

I never played too much of AOE2, though an aspect of wonders that sort of sadden me but maybe a reason why I like the 3 whole factions that are able to build wonders in AOE3, I like the idea of Wonders having additional uses rather than being big dick structures for a victory condition. Heck, Empire earth, the wonders provide some bonuses. Though it could be potentially awesome that depending on the civ you play as, your wonder victory is highly dependant, such as, some will build smaller temples and wonders, but must construct numerous to meet a required amount, yet not as resource heavy. Some Civs build ginormous wonders, takes a hefty amount of resources and time, space, but just have to build one.

Is it normal to be upset that the Roman wonder was just the Ravena arena and not something more grand like...the Basilica of Maxentius? That would be awesome given how cool that looked.
