I've been trying to master this playing against Hardest AI difficulty but right when I am like 3/4 the way to making the Harimba I get attacked with 6-7 troops by the AI.

Yo yo, the AI seems to do really well if you give it time. Tbh I've never tried any strats other than heavy feudal age aggression Vs AI. The new hardest AI in season 4 is brutal!!

why horticulture for cows? isnt it the hunt upgrade for cows?

Hey there, nope horticulture is for increasing food gather speed by 15%. And Survival techniques only works for huntable animals i.e. deer and boar but not herdable animals e.g sheep / cows.

You reach castle fast, but what's the point for reaching castle fast as mali? They got no upgrades or special units in castle, and they do it well in feudal age agression. Plus, reaching castle age as fast exposes you to agression from english, french, etc...

You get easy macro because you produce your units just with gold and for a discounted price. Also it’s a very safe fast castle because your landmark protects the gold and you got cows under your tc. From then you just rush your opponent with castle age units

@@mstrolling2151 on the paper yes, is good, but Mali houses are easy to break, and trading in 1v1 is hard, so your gold income will not be very great to be producing a lot of units. I find Mali castle age particularly weak in 1v1 games, they shine in feudal because they have counters against any feudal unit.
