I think playing this game with a controller is very satisfactory. There are only minor caveats in that LT+up chooses all of your melee cavalry units together with your "on-foot" melee units, when it should just get the "on-foots"; and you can't cycle through units in a group (using the icons), or at least I still don't know how to do that hahaha. Also, I still haven't found a practical way to select a number of military units from a larger group - say, separate 5 horsemen from a group of 10. It might be just my ignorance, though. That aside, I think the controller to actually be more efficient somehow lol
Hi Fitz, does the keyboard & mouse have the mechanic like using a controller? like auto economy distribution & auto villager... how is the UI when we use a keyboard and mouse?
Personally I am soooo much better on controller than m&k. I don't understand why everyone acts like its such a huge disadvantage. Auto-villager creation and auto-economy means you can go on autopilot at the home base and focus on fights. Sure, micro on military (and everything else really) is worse, but its not so cut and dry as people often make out. Top m&k will obviously beat top controller 99% of the time though.
I understand that for RTS controller is NOT the better way. But let's be completely real, M+K was designed as a general input device for computers and THEN used for the games that came out on those computers. Controllers were designed for gaming SPECIFICALLY with no other use case. Don't be some kinda weird pc elitist.
