Every 5 minutes during the game: 38, almost 39 years old. As if its completely alien to play into your 40s. With the softness of the modern game he could play till 60.
Bro last year they spent 1/3 of the year commenting on "year 20", spent 1/3 of the year commenting on him approaching the record, 1/3 of the year on him actually having gotten the record... These guys have nothing else to speak on!
Nope, correction the NBA is RUINED since LeBum formed a superteam in the Heat 2010! Just to LOSE more after forming superteams after SUPERTEAMS! 🤣 6 finals loses 🗑️
The fact they now rip “MJ’s Wizards” years. We’ve got some of his teammates saying they couldn’t even watch when the trainers “drained black sludge from his knees before every game.” I even got into it with one guy who tried to pretend it was more egregious of MJ bc he “took whole seasons off” than the fact Lebron has been taking 1/3rd of the regular season off for the last 5 years even when he’s not injured. I didn’t even have the patience to explain to him why yeah, most ppl wished MJ didn’t spend 2 years of his prime playing baseball. But ppl respect his decision to walk away when he lost his fire for the game. And it doesn’t even matter to me that his dad was murdered. Even if that didn’t happen and he just wanted to do something else, that’s ok with me. What’s not ok with me is being *ACTIVE* on a roster, taking a spot and having an entire organization counting on you actually PLAYING THE SEASON and then just taking off games that you feel like (might hurt your stats….)
Lebron has only played all 82 games once in his entire career. Every other season he has played 50 to 60 games at most. That's also why his averages, and percentages are so high. He plays less games than most of the other superstars who actually play most of the games. Coasting, SuperTeams, and superstars blaming their failures on the franchises they play for, and blaming the personnel is what has ruined the NBA. This era is weak minded, and soft. It started around 2013, and it's gotten worse since then every season. It's not everyone, but there are a lot of superstars, and stars who hold their teams hostage when they are already under contract to produce for multiple seasons, and they only want to play half the season, or less. Those guys also expect to compete for championships, and make the playoffs despite them rarely being on the court during the regular season.
@@andrewcook1246 LeBron has quite literally played no more than 56 games in the last 5 years. The only exception was the 2020 season which saw a 4 MONTH BREAK in the middle of the season thanks to the pandemic. Seriously, you LeBron fanatics are got that thing so deep down your guzzler that y'all can't even admit the obvious. Even if you believe that LeBron has faced significant injuries since 2019, to deny his lack of availability is just insane.
Kareem was a true iron man. 20 seasons and played in 75+ games 16 times. Jordan playing in all 82 games 9 times. Or Reggie Miller playing 18 seasons and playing in 75+ games 14 times. We'll never see players like this ever again because today's players are incentivized to not play. Defense doesn't exist in today's NBA. Anyone winning a DPOY should be giving that award back.
AOH, is of course, spot on once again. I'm 50, been a huge fan of MLB & NBA since the 80's. I never really thought Cal Ripken's "iron man" accomplishment of consecutive games played was that big of a deal either. Why are we celebrating laziness and a continued "success" of mediocrity?
An impressive record was Glenn Hall (a goalie for the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks in the 50`s and 60`s) played 502 CONSECUTIVE regular season complete games, AND 49 playoff games, making the record of 551 CONSECUTIVE complete games played, all while never wearing a mask.
I keep sayn the SAME EXACT THING bcse I now say tht we presently in an ERA where " LOSING MAKES YOU GREAT " Oh " LECHOKE " is Celebrated or wnts to be Seen or is Given the Respect of the " G.O.A.T " bcse he's been to the NBA FINALS 10x & he now Owns the NBA SCORING Title lolololol, wen out of his 10 Trips to the NBA FINALS he has LOST 6x and yes he LEADS the NBA in Scoring but " TURNOVERS " as well. So here's me arguing with my friends defending " LECHOKE " wen my 18yrs Old Son wlks in and says, Dad Dad plz STOP okay for all " LECHOKE " ever does is " LOSE " look Dad he made it to the NBA FINALS 10x but he LOST 6x & Won 4x in those 6 LOSSES DAD he was SWEPT 2X, he came to LA and since he came here Dad we didn't make it to the Playoffs we Won the nxt season but his 3rd Season we got kicked out of the 1st Rnd, 4th Season we didn't even make it to or out of the Play In Tournament and his 5th Season we got SWEPT in the Conference Finals and y'all still Support him like he some Great a mean yes he's great but a great LOSER No Wonder Mom Left You.😂
I just had a Lebron fan tell me that in today’s game it’s infinitely harder to play and to rebound and pass the ball. That was some of the funniest sh*t I have ever heard. Just thinking about what they said still makes me break out in laughter. Hahaha 😂😂😂
It is harder because everyone is expected to handle the ball and shoot 3s. Centers like Alonzo Mourning and Marcus Camby wouldn't make the league today
@@sp123 Yes they would, considering you have Capela and Adams in the league. Rebounding is harder because of all the 3s and passing may be harder because of everyone searching for length. I say may be because one had to be clever to move the ball in a mass of bodies under the basket back in the 80s and 90s.
How can it be harder to score, pass, and rebound when the lanes are WIDE open? You could land a 747 in the lane today. MJ would average 45-50 ppg if he played now with all this weak, nonexistent “defense” being “played”.
When I played back in the day, if you didn’t run onto the court you got sat on the bench. I tried to watch this game last night and couldn’t take it past halftime.
I agree wholeheartedly. It has been really a sad look in my opinion. True fans that played in the 80’s and 90’s, understand what intense and purposeful basketball is. The competitive spirit and nature of the sport is nonexistent today. Not even close.
That's why they got rid of Lonzo; je didn't want to run and lonzo was a run and gun pg. They had Zo in the corner and LeChoke with the ball slowing everything down.
I've been saying this for years. As a Lakers' fan, I thought we should've never drafted Lonzo. But as soon as we acquired LeBron, I knew his days were numbered. Unfortunately for him, he can't stay healthy anyway so it really doesn't matter.
LBJ goat narrative is push to hard when someone says a fact about basketball deteriorating all the fanboys could do is to personally attack someone. I don't get it why they have to diminish someone to uplift LBJ.
Well now we live in a world where when you mention taking breaks they mention MJ being disillusioned from the sport on account of his Fathers murder as "quitting"
Excellent points and video AOH. These guys are allowed to cheat the game and get paid top dollar smh. The nba is slowly losing viewership and nothing is being done about it
Well said well said! These new young players are so spoiled! They already got paid astronomical amount of money before even proving themselves. And the fans in return is getting to see some casual lazy basketball?
Add one more thing to why I do not like LeBron James specially in his later years. He is preserving himself not for a championship run, but to play with his son whenever that’s going to be
He’s just awful! I swear when he plays, I always feel like we’re in a weaker position. This team would have won last night , if they weren’t forced to slow down and play LB ball!
@@arsalanmalik268 yeah stats might say something else, but I’m telling you about the feel of the game…. There’s a way for Bron to excel, but it would take less time (15 minutes) on the court no more then 10+ shots a game, 15 assists maximum no bad 3’s! And playing Defense as a priority…. If he did that this team would win effectively and efficiently…
@@mrpowerfull100 I agree everything about his game gets better the less minutes he plays: more drives than chucking threes, less lazy turnovers and theoretically atleast he could play defense. I just don’t see it happening unless AD becomes consistent though he won’t have a choice but to play 30
Fans been falling for the BS. They play a 48 min game over the span of 3 hrs. Its commercial breaks, time outs, end of quarter. halftime. so many breaks
How do you attack a guy on offense when he`s standing in the corner, 8 feet from his man, then leaves his man and drifts off him towards the bucket to scoop an easy rebound, all the while never getting close enough to the key to make any type of defensive play?
I completely agree. The NBA has let the game be ruined with a lack of defense and the players also are guilty of "protecting" each other. This is what happens when all the players are friends and are rich and vacation together. I cannot watch the game any more and I love basketball. The traveling violations are completely ignored and are an insult to all the great players that helped create what the fans loved to watch. The "thinking basketball" series has this covered in the "evolution of the rules" video.
Finally someone said on this bullshit I've been telling people this people need to play to do this job load management should be out. if you can't play you should be out of the game. They are paid millions on day 1.
did you hear bron shout and1 at the ref early in the game? dang it was so annoying and he was getting low to bully jokic and jokic moved backwards causing bron to fall that was so priceless dude learned from last year to work smarter not harder on defending bron cause he will knock himself down and out. his fangirls are so quick to defend him to the death freaking embarrassing
Jokic gets so much crap coming his way for not playing defense at times. He isn't a high leaper so he can't block the air out of the ball on release point, so what he can do is play physical defense on players, but he is not allowed to. And so many times we see Jokic just back down not to get called for a foul and to not get into a foul trouble, especially against superstars like LeBron.
Wow. I've heard people argue that the sport is so demanding because of the running up and down the court that is takes a physical toll on the players and they need rest because of it. This video destroys that argument. What an eye opener. Had no idea it was that much time.
I think this inactivity has been always that way in American sports. An Euroleague game is about 2 hour, even less, an NBA is 3 hours despite being only 8 minutes longer in playtime.
@@jmgonzales7701 It wouldn't make any difference, and statistics would be inconsistent from the moment of change. It's about how much time it takes to throw freethrows, timeouts, ... Last season when Lebron set the record the game stopped like 30 minutes! That would never happen in an European game, it seemed like the game had ended... what a joke.
@@AverageGuy28 understandable. I put that up because im not american and i do watch the nba but also the euro league and ofc my country very own league. And i can help but notice that international leagues seem to be more intense and scoring is actually valuable. Like when someone scores its a big deal. Unlike in the nba its basically who can pile up the most points until the final minute ends kind of competition. Does it also have to do with rules and dimmensions of the court? Like in international the court and three point line seems a bit smaller. Does that contribute to tigher defenses?
@@jmgonzales7701 I think 82 games are too many for a regular season when they have very little impact on the playoffs (court advantage is only one game out of 7). Would be interesting if regular season games counted in some way in the play offs. For example, the playoffs being 9 games instead of 7, but regular season games against the opposite teams count in that 9 game series. Every game would be important.
He's no saint. He can get petty and too full of himself. Some of us fans DONT WANT TO HEAR HIM CONCLUDING ON GAME NIGHT #1 what the rankings are in the West. F HIM. He doesn't like certain fan bases cuz they gave him too hard of a time. HIS BLOVIATING GETS OLD.
i remember watching an nba in person. thats not surprising, alot of the times they stand in a corner or stay in one spot about 10 seconds, then move a little bit when shot clock is under 10 seconds
But….But, these guys are more skilled. 80-90s were firemen and plumbers. Blue collar, hard working players. You live to work, now a days it’s work to live. Hard work and getting dirty isn’t an option. As a kid and into my 40s I watched sports, even if it was my team. Now a days if I watch a full game is a rarer sight than seeing Bigfoot.
See this is why I'm subscribed to your channel because great minds think alike. Every NBA player can't play 20 years. Most NBA players play about 14 to 16 years and how do you determine that if a player can make it up to 20 years? Well that player normally plays 90% of the game on both ends of the court. See you when it comes to LeBron. He should have retired probably about 3 years ago but everybody gives him a pass because he stopped past his numbers or he scores a lot in the first quarter or the first half and then coast in the last two quarters and we all know he don't play defense but he don't get criticized by the media because he controls the media because if the media was the real media back in the '80s and '90s and early early 2000s they would have ran his ass up out the league. What LeBron is doing at this age anybody could have been doing if they was able to shoot bad shots. Don't play defense control. The media have dumbass fans supporting him. But it ain't his given. To play this long and he'll play as long as his dumb fans in the media allow him to and then we'll be hearing. We ain't never seen nobody played 25 years at this level. He's averaging 19 points a game and it'll be the ugliest 19 points a game. This dude could not score unless it was getting a rebound and driving all the way down court. That's all he did in the game. That's all he's able to do because he never had a skill set or go to shot a spot on the court. He's a fraud and I don't know why a lot of people don't see it
Agree with you 100% it’s an absolute joke. Soft arse players and overrated LeBummo being hyped up beyond belief. He is useless and so is today’s nba. I’m disgusted. Maybe all the players should ask themselves why they don’t dominate on the international level anymore.
You should see Lebrons makes for this game..1 3pt make and the rest are all inside the restricted circle. Dude cant shoot outside of 5ft and it showed last night
People wonder why the Euros dominate now. Why every statistic is inflated. Basketball is the only popular sport outside of soccer where you can’t touch anybody. I don’t think people appreciate how weird it is that players in the NBA just stand around with 2 or 3 foot bubbles because the defender doesn’t want to be close enough for the other guy to flop.
another great breakdown video! I’d love for you to debate Gilbert Arenas & his disrespectful takes of the 80/90’s era. This dude really got most idiots out here thinking he a basketball genius. Seems like another guy on that Klutch sports handshake. 😂
Let's not forget. There is a bench--use it. Regarding contact: You should have seen the nba in the 50's-60's. Each team had an enforcer that went in to settle things down or stir things up. Layups didn't come cheap- 4,5 fouls on a player wasn't uncommon.
If you take into consideration how small of a court a basketball court actually is, you'll lose even more respect for them. A full size basketball court fits inside the whole 18 yard box on a soccer field.......yeah. The court is 91 feet by 50 feet. An 18 yard box is 54 feet wide, and 132 feet long. And 10 absolute giants fit inside the court, so how much running do they actually do? Smaller court, much, much, much shorter game with more breaks, more subs, and nowadays, much less physicality. How any of these basketball pros actually get tired is beyond me. 91 feet isn't enough to get a to full sprint and even if you could, you wouldn't want or need to, as your momentum would render you unbalanced and you'd go crashing into the cameramen. Curry is the only one who's agile and conditioned enough to run around the whole game, but everyone else just jogs around, making molasses look fast with those slow ass cuts and screens, all to jack up a 3 and miss....also with no rebound. Load management is an absolute joke and these players absolutely shouldn't be payed what they are.

I wish you at least 1 million subscribers!!! Keep it going, Sir! Thank You!
Max Christie , the 11th player on the Laker roster, has a 1.7 million dollar contract--Guaranteed---His salary would've been 3rd highest on the 85-86 Lakers behind Magic and Kareem. He's basically getting 1.7m to sit mostly on the bench.. What a gig... 4.3 ppg, 2.5 TRb,1.0 AST------What a monster.
I was thinking of the same thing watching this game. Every time there is a foul, or even just three clean plays in a row, it’s a break. They changed all these rules to make it “free flowing”, when the commercials make it worse than football.
Refs taking their sweet time watching instant replays is another timeout for the players and really can take the viewer out of the game. The fact there's no quick solution for instant replays with all the technology is ridiculous. Scoring in the NBA used to be like a chess game, now the offense has more versatility than the queen and the defense are all pawns.
Which makes me miss the post game. If lebron truly had one of the greatest basketball iqs that his fans say he should know that by playing in the post not only you get good position near to the basket but you all are able to rest more. Whats more tiring? Running up and down the court full blast every single play or fighting for 1 spot near the basket... this is what jordan did in his older days he relied more on post and foot work to get his shot off. This is why i dont buy that lebron has one of the greatest iqs ever.
Jack Nicklaus winning the Masters at age 46 is a more impressive physical achievement than whatever it is LeFlop is doing this season, and I fucking hate golf.
i thought i was the only one with eyes in my head realising what has been going on for year in the nba. i hope this channel blows up and sports tv (channels) like espn & co keep getting exposed like main stream media news stations and equally irrelevant as them in the long run.
It's worse in uk as the game started at 12.30 am and finished at 3 am and it annoyed me when we had ads for half time then 2 plays into the 3rd there was a timeout so got treated to more ads lol
Something needs to be done. This has to be brought up to the owners and the commissioner himself! The NBA is not the same anymore for the worst!! Otherwise this same ol crap will still be this way. Wasn't Adam silver the one who helped put it in action?
@@tdup191 yup. Stern wasn't that bad though. I liked Stern, and he wasn't no damn Palestinian but was Jewish too, just like silver, but I'd rather have Stern as the commish rather than Silver. Silver is the guy who implemented this load management bs.
@@vgrg7841 agreed. Silver def made the league soft catering to the players and Stern didn't play tht shit but tht Palestinian part was unnecessary. Them ppl have just as much right to tht land as the so called ✡️ who are oppressing them
That is the reason why I don't watch NBA anymore. It's just run up and down the court taking turns in shooting , see who misses first and basically decide that way he's losing the game. Also so weird because the media and fans still say players today are bigger, better, faster, durable, stronger and more athletic etc. But all I hear is players getting non stop hurt/injured, while all they do is run up and down and sometimes make an easy dunk, since no one is contesting like in the 80/90's. In those days people got grabbed, punched etc.
They get paid too much AOH hundreds of millions to go bouncy, bouncy down the court! What do teachers get paid, how about police? Fire men? Ambulance drivers??? Life is a joke and ain’t funny!
I'm 42. I still play daily with my kids for hours. I have no acl. Its gone. Couldn't afford surgery. I play daily with them. We go hard. My boys are tougher than lebron already. I'll play til I die. I played hurt so many times to show them toughness. They are gonna be savages. Glad I was there to mold them. I'd do it for free all over again.
lmao, Sports media has completely corrupted the discourse that even I forgot the definition of Ironman till you reexplained it. After that I suddenly remembered Brett Favre's 297 consecutive starts in the NFL . That shit used to actually mean something.
I like how lebum fans say he's approaching 40 so he's not going to be as good. I'm not a Tom Brady fan but he was 43 when he won his last super bowl. Spent years getting hit, tackled and sacked by bigger guys than the NBA has and was the last player on any roster that was drafted in 2004.
They need their rest b/c the game is so much stronger, faster and skilled!!1 I was arguing with a 23 year old for hours the other day about how how much better this era is as he laughed off the 90s and 80s players, most of all Jordans finals competition, but couldn't name the all-star tier 3rd or 4th players on many of those teams. Said the Spurs that Miami LeBron lost to would sweep all of Jordans Finals opponents. So i asked him would late 90s Lakers with 25-27 year old Shaq and multiple all stars beat those Spurs with old Duncan and Gino and 22 year old Kawhi? Would rookie Duncan(who i would call alread in prime as he was one of the most nba ready stars ever), and 32 year old David Robinson with Elliott and those boys beat the old Spurs? He paused, he said Shaq Lakers would win, but not the twin tower Spurs. I quickly reminded him the Jazz the swept and gentlemens swept those Lakers b2b seasons and also gentlemens swept the twin tower Spurs with Pop. BUT LEBRON FACED KD, CURRY WARRIORS!!1 No one has ever had to face such a team! Especially Jordan!!1 Wasn't Harden and CP3 up 3-2 on KD/Curry Warriors b4 CP3 hamstrings took him out? "Yeah, props to that team but no way they could beat a Lebron led team in the Finals!" WTf? So Lebrons biggest excuse could have been beaten by another team, btu that team doesn't stand a chance against Lebron? We talked over and over again, or rather he screamed over and over again about how high school players can do things players in the 90s couldn't' dream of. I said that shooting was prioritized and got better as a result, and freedom of movement improved perceived handles skills, but other era players weren't allowed to do that. I gave examples of how those 2 skills are the 2 easiest to learn. Gave examples of bigs who shot 0 3s their whole career before turning into stretch c's over 1 summer. Told him what he's seeing is a guard and forward heavy league and that you could do the same with 90s teams by just substituting the traditional Centers and Power F's with the big F's and big G's. Point guards are just small shooting guards now. SG's are the same. SF's and PF's are basically just 1 F spot and C is a big F. Not on every team but it's mostly a G,G,F,F,F lineup these days. You can do that with 90s rosters just fine and give them a few summers to prioritize shooting 3s and tell them they wont be called for carrying and traveling and watch the crazy handles and moves they come up with too. Then he started to use other sports as a example of human evolution and why it's so much bigger stronger faster and harder than ever(of which i admitted that training and everything and money around it is more serious for sure which makes the avg athlete more explosive, but the elite of the elite are still the elite of any era) How scrubs off the bench can put up 50 on any given night. That it's harder bc defenders cant touch you and old scrubs just hurt you bc they couldn't play D and weren't athletic. I said, not being allowed to play defense is exactly why the offense is exploding and the league is catered to offense. "Okay. No you're right. People in the 1800s were more athletic than people today." 'No no. You're right Lebron is a scrub who didn't have the most pressure on him compared to any athlete that ever lived and failed to exceed expectations. You're right. LeBron beat the scoring record by only playing bully ball in a weak era. You're right Michael Jordan is a better father than lebron and is more charitable than LeBron. No youre right!" Then he gave me a speech about jealousy and hatred(accusing me of hating on LeBron out of jealousy-all of course after he hated on all of LeBrons teammates and peers. FUCK KD. FUCK CURRY. SNAKES! SCRUBS I HATE THEM! IF LEBRON HAD MORE HELP! AD is decent one night and the worst player ever the next! yada yada. The Heat weren't a super team! None of them won anything without LeBron! LeBron wins on every team he goes to! Why would you want LeBron to have stayed in Cleveland? The worst franchise ever! So he can lose?!? OF COURSE THATS WHAT YOU WANT HATER!" Then he stopped talking to me and walked away like he won the day by calling my jealous and a hater.
oh i forgot the classic non bball related sarcastic "yeah b/c Lebron got his father killed by his gambling debt right?" Yeah..bc Michael Jordan couldn't afford to pay up, but let's go with conspiracy theories. He named all the media guys who are pro lebron and shit on Jordan and i said what if i told you they're all in Lebrons pocket through Klutch Sports including Scottie Pippen whose son joined Klutch Sports? SEE YOURE A HATER!! Proceeds to make it an impossibility, but jordan definitely got his father murdered and Stern had to suspend him. It was proven, if you didn't know. Oh and of course the Celtics were trash and Jordan was losing in the first round while bron was getting to the finals! Loved that topic.
b4 g1 as every year: (LeBron's team) has improved so much! They have to be the favorites! Lebron can carry this team in his sleep and now he has so much more help. FINALLY! after g1: AD is a scrub. LeBron needs more help! He has never had a superstar teammate to take the weight off his shoulders!! fans start relaying all the klutch sports narratives. Rinse and repeat
I find all the Labron fan boys funny because like what Larry Bird said to rookie Clyde Drexler, "YOU DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING, YOU ARE A ROOKIE." I have been working hard labor for over 40 years and you kids want to give Labron a pass for his age. If I get things done in my job within a reasonable amount of time with accuracy, I get let go. I am over 60 and he gets a pass for being a great performer, when his performance has always been well below the greats of the game. The current commissioner has no clue how much he has ruined the game I love and cannot watch today. The competitive nature of the game has been eliminated by the weak minded. Weak minded equates the woke mind.
Church should have just said “I retired before year 20 because I’m self aware”. Lenronze will play all the way up until he’ll only be remembered for being a guy that stayed at the party too long.
NBA got soo weird over time, gold era was in my opinion between 1980 and 2000 Maybe also Chamberlain Dr.J etc era, but i wasn't born in that era watching games live on TV
I think at some point I heard that Maxey led the league in miles ran per game with 3. Considering how most nba games are like 2 1/2 to 3 hours. That’s just north of a mile per hour. And I know that playing basketball is deeper than just running but that’s crazy
Well interior defense has taken a huge hit cus players know they really can't defend cus of the whistle so now everyone just kinda stands there with out jumping and putting their hands up , if that
AOH I swear I heard the Denver faithful laugh out loud when Lebrick shot that off the backboard. Maybe LeEPO is really just a comedian? Between the obvious steroid use, the ugly mug, the hair transplant, getting swatted by near rookie white guys, the dumb Twitter comments that he has to delete/backtrack on, the "I promise" school that can't pass a math test...maybe this really is just all a comedy routine?
Football player Lebron with no shot and will play 2:00 a quarter this season just signed a 2 year $98 million dollar contract 😮😮 dude making this money to sit and blame AD. Lebron comes in the game for 2:00 minutes to a make 2 lay ups and then sit out for 8:00. 😅😅😅
Play a game everyday or go lay bricks in the weather everyday...which one is more valuable to society yet is treated like trash? Why can't more people see that athletes are spoiled beyond belief🤦
This is one of MANY reasons that TODAY'S NBA ISN'T THE BEST ERA. And for those who still claim that bullshit and to all those children who trash 90s, 2000s basketball, sit down 🪑
It's not the players It's the fans. Fans will praise a player's $250 million contract and they make $45k and complain about paying their bills. They'll pay $300 for a ticket and the player will sit out the game to rest. The fan worked 10 hours on his job and still drive an hour to the game.
