Analyzing a bit of what you did, i'd add some tips to the fundamentals: -Gather Map Info -Set up walls and expand terrain and resources -Micro for optimal villager production -Take only good fights -If pressed, make defensive raids, dont loose units -Early palace/fortress Love the series boit, thanks :)

Odin 1700 : Build 16/15 gatherers , start advance through heimdall by 3:30 , have enough resources to train 3 hersirs then villager rush with einharjar and hersirs and villagers and undermine. Build temple near enemy base. Risky but really funny lol.
some tips with Odin you can use the starting ulfsark to attack that fucking rhino or elephant in the start for example to help your 3 hunters to kill that thing, the ulfsark will regenerate because of Odin bonus. other tip sometimes you can use the ulfsark to lure lions, hyenas, bears, rhinos close to other animals to use great hunt in more animals if you see they won't complete 750 food the maximum
Odin 1700 = Learn how to ride effectively. Have knowledge how the starts for maps with food and without food. Keep producing villagers and not letting them idle Map scouting. I think 2 tc strategy on classic is needed against egyptians
hey boit, a noob/med player here, can u tell me why norse doesn't get too much picked in tournaments, I only see GrandMonster playing Odin. Are the norse weak in high level competitions or they just always lose to egypt and greek mid/late game?
Well shelty took Norse to finals in a tournament not too long ago and definately could have won the series he lost if he played better. Not really a case of Norse being weak I don't think :)
The rule is simple: As Zeus you win classical fights and lose heroic fights against Odin. Pick Athena hop+tox on high hunt or Hermes centaur raids on open low hunt maps. Around 8-9 min his start gold mine runs out, make sure to gold starve him by securing all gold mines. If he gets heroic and frosts your army to build a hill fort, his huskarl + throwing axemen + frost giant army is going to demolish you (especially if you lack hypaspists). In case you traded quite well early on, you may be able to go Hera and keep up the gold starve. But in general win the game in classical while utilizing toxotes and myth units - two weaknesses of Odin.
@@ikosaeder20 a interesting thing in your comment is that you said that the Odin gold mine timing is 8-9 min, but this is only true vs bad players that make lots of dwarves. Against a good Odin player that only makes 6-7 dwarves, the timing is 11 min
@@arthurm.8007 You are completely right in that regard. But if he trains less dwarves, that means he has less food for army OR advances to heroic at a later time, and that means you might be able to capture his start gold mine.
