AP Biology Investigation 6. Here we use the "classic" AP Biology respirometer to compare rates of cellular respiration in germinating peas at two temperatures (25C and 10C).
Most students hypothesize that the non-germinated peas will not respire and the germinated will. They are always surprised to see that non-germinated peas still perform cellular respiration. The fun starts when you change the independent variable (different seed, different temperatures etc.)
