back at it again the next weekend this time in my ap1. The car is completely stock aside from an intake, test pipe and hks hi power dual. Issa slidey boi.
good stuff bro, seems like you got a good feel for the car but I notice you had some moments of imbalance/instability when you hesitate on throttle in between corners especially at high rpm. Also you shifted in a lot of places that you could've held 2nd. I am also trying to learn the AP1chasis but this video is helpful.
Thanks! And yes the car is not the most confidence inspiring on some higher speed corners on stock suspension. It can be a little twitchy or feel like the rear is about to come out at times. My reasons for upshifting before I needed was simply just not to go too hard or be harder on the car when I didn’t need to. If it was a battle that may have been a different story 😁
Also your other comment wasn’t showing up but the car actually oversteers much more than the footage shows, and I haven’t had the car under steer really ever! It’s easy to make the rear end come out on purpose which is what I did at the end of the video. The ap2 I drove was the complete opposite and it would under steer more than anything. My ap1 is on the stock squared sizes 225/205. 300 treadwear tire by federal. Good bang for your buck tire imo and I’ve been happy with them!
@@tougestylegarage yeah that's cool. I also make driving videos on my ap1 and it's hard to see in camera when the car rotates unless you get a noticable amount of angle which is not the fast way to drive
@@tougestylegarage Thanks for the quick reply! I've had my heart set on an ap1 but I've found 2 ap2s for a great price and in much better shape. Don't know what to do now lol
@@adriankoniarz5759 well in todays market it’s certainly hard to find good deals on clean cars lol. I’m in the same boat trying to find another one actually. Ap2 would still be great! Just depends on what you truly want
