what about an screenshot of the video, is it the same?

Thanks for your question. If you have created the screenshot yourself, have included it in your paper, and are referencing the original video in your text, you must label and number the screenshot as a figure. For example: “Fig. 1: Screenshot from 2022 Election Coverage (CBC, 2022), showing local candidates awaiting results.” You will need to include the original video in your reference list and include an in-text citation anywhere in your paper that you refer to the video. You can find out more details here: apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/references/examples/online-course-references If the screenshot was taken by someone else and published online and you are refencing that specific screenshot (as opposed to the original video) in your text, you should treat it as an online image.
