#1 I’ve always loved Audie….i got that from my momma. #2 These are Apache Indians….but they’re speaking perfect Spanish. I just find it funny. Great movie, though….as are ALL Audie Murphy movies.❤

Awesome movie, how I love the old westerns….Audie was one of favorite actors. He was in the military in real life and after he got out, he started playing in the movies, mostly westerns I think. I loved all his movies. Thanks for shar this….HIGH 5….👍❤️🌟⭐️

The actor who played the role of the kind, peace-loving officer died addicted to alcohol and drugs because he was suffering psychologically. He lies in the movies and gives an unreal picture of the US Army at that time with the Native Americans before 1870. He knew he was lying to the people because the truth is that the US Army destroyed and killed all the Indians.

Good to see a movie where both sides were shown to capable of honor and compassion. The Indians were brutal but not always blood thirsty savages as is often the way they are portrayed. The settlers were often the real villains in the west when land, water and gold were thrown into the mix.

This is one of Audie Murphy 's best pictures . It had a political message which was very different from the utter rubbish that John Wayne portrayed in his westerns.

Sad to hear that he had such problems later in life. I wonder if he knew Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and gave his life to him. Many of his movies had Bible and Christian overtones. But I don't know if he ever converted to Christianity? He had a memorable life it would be sad if he finishes his eternity away from heaven.

This is an awesome western. I hate those gold miners who get the Apache's into trouble. My favorite part is when Audie Murphy reveals the truth to his commanding officer.

I read Audie Murphy's autobiography and found out he had what I have chronic PTSD. I learned he also stayed in hotels for days drinking in his room. Jus' as I've been doing for the past few years... I don't know why I do that.

Now this is a cowboy movie. We had cowboys, we had Indians, we had crooks and even the cavalry.. 😂😂... This is the tipe of movies we grew up with way back when we were still young and beautiful. Audie looked like he didn't feel well in this movie. Must have been during the time of their medicating him. He had a tragic life, I hope he found Harmony before his departure, and enjoy a Positive Peaceful continued Journey.

Dead animal was an easy guess for the NYC boy. I investigated gas leaks for a utility, so I was trained to classify odors. Your description and lifestyle pointed to that answer
