Apache 'Royale' - Prince Harry carried in the Apache Helicopter at Cosford Airshow 2013

On Sunday 9th June 2013 the Army Air Corps WAH-64 Longbow Apache AH Mk.1 Helicopter display, at the RAF Cosford 75th Anniversary Airshow, was flown by Staff Sergeant Jamie Boakes (Pilot) and Captain Harry Wailes (Front Seater) .
This is believed to be the first time that Prince Harry had been with the Army Air Corps Apache Display team in front of the public.
Here is a filmed record, with some stills, of the whole event. This includes the pre flight, full flying display, including the MERT (Medical Emergency Response Team) cover phase, aerial capability display, landing, shut down and post flight wrap up.

A Gunner is a Pilot, both have to be able to fly the helicopter.

why do they say piloting? more like riding. the Gunner sits in the front. the pilot sits in the back. you can tell he's the Gunner cuz when he turns his head the gun moves.

In the UK Army Air Corps both the front and rear seaters are pilots qualified to fly the aircraft, which has flight controls in both positions. Although the pilot in the rear has primary responsibility to fly the aircraft, the front seater has responsibility for the weapons system and is also the aircraft commander and can take over the flying controls as desired or when necessary because the rear seat Pilot has been incapacitated. The front seater will have been a rear seater pilot before moving forward to become co-pilot/weapons position. The commentary relevant to the Apache Demo starts at 3'40" and the commentator refers throughout to 'the crew'. The earlier commentary referring to 'pilots' during the first minute is for The Red Arrows display that was going on at the time and for the Chinook helicopter.
