Some people thrive from crushing people down.. but life is fair and just as long as you focus on the way forward to improve your reality.. Evil people will cross paths with other evil forces that will teach them the errors of their ways..
Very true Sibusisiwe that's how heartless the apartheid regime was to us #POC in this country an now their children an grand children some of them are showing the same mentality
Sad and heartbreaking whilst at the same time invoking anger and embarrassment. How does one justify the ungodly practices of the oppressive white apartheid government and all oppressive governments worldwide? They destroyed the lives of these people by destroying their homes and displacing them, ironically many of these perpetrators and supporters of these evils now find themselves powerless and displaced throughout the world. Sadly, no lessons learnt, as all previous mighty empires were brought to a fall so will all current unjust empires be brought to their knees. This is the law of Almighty God.
It is sad, the era of racism that makes people behave like that. A rare film, called Code 7, Victim 5, with Rex Barker included shots of this area. Being from London, England, I wanted to find out about District Six and amazing at least they kept the nice churches. But on Google Earth, you can clearly see the area (also helped by Wikipedia's placemark), fascinating, sad, brutal, yet interesting at the same time.
I am blessed to live in Cape Town and I have actually been down to the area where district Six used to be...And if nobody had told me that people actually lived there you would never of known. ..
I was born just outside of district 6 the same year it was declared "whites only". Even the whites in the area were sad and upset, but Apartheid had its way. Beautiful Table Mountain in the background could not compare to the mountain of heartache and sadness the devastation of a community caused.
@kierandempsey1 you do realize that zimbabwe is where it is because of whites, right? same with the rest of Africa. (also a south african and white (not that that matters) by the way)
