Great videos! Gonna keep watching. Moving from Toronto for Tesla in Fremont in 2 months. But can't get over how dull Fremont seems. Looks like I'll have to move to north San Jose to have some sort of social life. How north is too north from the core ? Japantown?

Hi Noel, thanks for supporting the channel! Early welcome to the Bay :) Fremont and surrounding isn't too bad. It's comfortable to live in. If you are big on going out, definitely live near San Jose. To be honest, anywhere within 15-20 mins of downtown is viable since there are unlimited amounts of ubers/lyfts here and there's bars everywhere

Unless I missed something in one of these videos, what is your Tesla charging situation gonna look like if you move into one of these apartments? Are you looking for a place that will also accommodate for your charging needs? Or are you just planning on driving to a supercharger every time (which doesn’t seem like the most convenient)?

Unfortunately I won't be moving forward with an apartment anymore. I found a very nice condo that I'm in the process of getting (spoiler alert). However, if I was to get an apartment, I make sure there is a local supercharger so I wouldn't have to travel too far to charge my car. Although it seems troublesome to have to drive to a supercharger, it's kind of relaxing while you're charging :)

Yes! This apartment is great as it looks so well preserved and near a grocery store and Starbucks pet friendly and pretty quiet

i think top floors you will have to worry about trying to cool down the apartment because heat will rise from the other units below.

Are these self-guided tour? I'm moving to the bay area next month and I saw options for self-guided tour and wonder how that works.

Depends on the place to be honest but for the Silver Apartments (2nd ones I checked out) a staff there will walk you to each unit but they practice social distancing protocols. Definitely call them up first if you want to be sure :)

I checked the Silver Apartments' website and prices seem higher. it starts at 2100$. will it be cheaper if I visit their lease office?

I think prices were low because of COVID but since things are returning back to "normal" prices are going back up. Their website vs in person makes no difference

Update: I didn’t end up signing a lease because the unit I wanted was taken overnight. Might be looking into a condo instead. Either way, enjoy!

@@trendeeprod The first studio shown is in a separate building from the other ones shown. It's located on the ground level so I wasn't too fond of it

I haven't -- I ended up buying a new construction condo instead haha! If you can accord to buy, I'll always prefer buying over renting

They're very strict about not negotiating but sometimes they will throw in deals like 4 weeks free or like 2 months free, etc.

I think that was a badly placed breaker box at 4:00, I think it's an accident waiting to happen for people who have a child. I agree with your observations on the place though.

Best of Luck in your apartment search. Downtown San Jose is ridden with homeless people and drug addicts. That isn't going to change. You will have to watch yourself carefully when walking the neighborhood at night.

Thanks! Definitely must take caution when walking around in downtown San Jose. Would not recommend walking around alone lol
