I'm afraid by binge watching all your videos I pretty much knew all your tips and tricks in this video. I have enjoyed learning from you and putting so many of your suggestions into practice. I am setting up a craft/quilting room and I keep going back through your videos picking out storage ideas. Your channel has taught me so much!
Sorry to hear this one had things that are mentioned in others, I wanted to have a collection for just apartment/renter friendly! Way to go on the craft/quilting room, that sounds like such a dream to have a space dedicated to your hobbies!
The organizational stuff you use is relatively expensive, at least compared to other videos I've seen. Glad to hear you saying that you are deliberate in what you choose so that you can have the items for many many years. I try to get buy it for life items as well. Also- did I see Oxo mixing bowls? I generally like/love Oxo, but the mixing bowls were a fail from them IMO. I prefer the wide shallow lightweight bowls that restaurants use. They are pretty inexpensive too and they nest so well. I think mine are Vollrath brand.
Congrats on your pregnancy! Can’t wait to see how you organize the myriad of gear and supplies. Unsolicited advice - if you have a boy, make sure to convert to soft close toilet seats and a corner unit for a changing table is ergonomically better for changing diapers (ie it’s a lot nicer than the traditional side units)
Great tips. I do disagree about buying customized organizers for a rental. If you divide the price per months you plan on living in your space and factor in daily peace… I consider it a win😃
Smart to think of it that way and really make an informed decision! I just prefer modular, adjustable, etc. if possible so it can move with you, but you're right there are probably certain circumstances where the perfect fit of custom is worth it!
I had never seen those specific can organizers before. I don’t always have cans in the fridge either. I also buy soda in the 7.5 ounce can and can holders are made for 12 ounce cans. I went right to Amazon and put it in my cart. Thank you for that.
The Elfa under bathroom cabinet is a great idea. We own, but my master bath is 1960s style (i.e. tiny) and that would be perfect for one side of the single no-drawer cabinet.
These are all great good products to keep your home neat and tidy. I've had an experience with the non command hooks 🤦🏽♀️, thanks for sharing. They were all good products.❤️💯
Loved these tips! I’m thinking about upgrading to a two bedroom apartment with my boyfriend because it seems like a one bedroom is not big enough for us anymore. How many bedrooms do you have in your apartment?
We were lucky to find a two bed, two bath that has an additional "den" (which is pretty small). it is perfect for us!! Lots of extra room and nice since I use the extra bedroom for work and he uses the den so we can both close the door and be on calls. Important with both of us working from home!
Your ottoman is a neat storage option, but I know from experience it is not a good option for around small children. My youngest son got his fingers hurt from the lid closing on him. Also his brother tried to hide inside while playing. I don't want to scare anyone, but it is something people don't think about until someone has gotten an ouchy.
great to know! Hopefully we can find a way to baby proof it, we almost never open it and you would never know it opens unless you already know! I do like how around a young baby it doesn't have any hard corners or edges to bump little heads on!
My husband had built a toy chest, in order to keep our child safe, he made sure there was air vent in front and and stay-open latch in front. It was built with a piano hinge to keep it even
When i search up the storage unit from your bathroom on ikea, it doesn't look like it comes with the glass shelves, at least I dont see a picture of them with the storage piece. Do they come with it or are they seperate? If so, where are they from?
You definitely can put stackable shelves or shelf risers in the freezer. While most won't be marketed that way it is a great creative solution. I would make sure its a sturdy material so it doesn't crack.
