this is truly the most coordinated effort I have ever seen any guild do. Sure Progress had a ton of other firsts, but they did those while having the chance to get gear from previous patches/expansions. Apes did the grind to 60 and did MC starting from scratch on brand new servers. This is more impressive than all of the other speed clears/firsts in all of the rest of the game.
@@ixplain Try getting 40 people together in any facet of life and do that. In that amount of time they didn't have the luxury of world buffs, so they couldn't use cheese strategies, they actually had to use their heads. They didn't have a lot of time to get great consumables. I doubt all 40 of those people make money from being professional gamers, some of them probably had to make sacrifices in their ordinary life in order to do this. Also, playing 20 hours a day doesn't mean there wasn't any coordination. I see people all the time at the gym who spend 3 hours there, but only workout for maybe 45minutes and spend the rest of the time on their phones. Trust me, those 20 hours a day had purpose and strategy.
@@josefniederer5039 It's not like you have to go out and catch people in the streets to do this. These people are not playing on classic servers by mistake. Also, what the f is "they had to use their heads" ? Are we fully embracing participation prizing now? Back then MC was hard for a casual because people didn't know shit. Add 20 years of experience in raiding, and specifically in MC, and you'll understand it's a faceroll.

I've been playing wow for a long time now, and the mechanics of the raid are not the hard part, nor is that what I was arguing. What I was saying is that despite the lack of a built up economy in the game, the lack of time, the difficulty of getting 40 people in real life to do this together in a certain order is impressive. If it was a participation badge then why didn't other guilds clear MC this fast from a fresh launch? I don't think you realize this was done within a week of classic launching. It's not modern day classic era in 2023. It also took a lot of forethought into the comp they wanted for this type of a clear. If you just picked up anyone and everyone you would have a number of hybrid/meme spec classes in there, but you didn't. You clearly don't know what the hell you're talking about.
In my day people said my female dwarf looked ugly and there were only two female dwarfs on the server, a pally and a priest. I was down with the thickness. Now one raid has more dwarfas than a medium pop server.
Could i ask what addon you use for the Dbuff with timer over the target frames? I have tried a few like omniCC and other Aura timer addons, but non of em seems to work. Rly helpfull to see sheeptimer etc. And Gratz on the down of Raggy & Ony

That's only if you just stick to getting rep in MC. You can also farm rep in Silithus from the Earth and Air elementals there. They also give rep until 5999/6000 in friendly.

@@tomferguson4505 Do you want better PvE racials or better PvP racials? Alliance has the edge on raiding. Shammy totems are better for melee heavy raids.
Horde racial are better for both pve and pvp, and shamans are also a big advantage with RN for AQ, and windfury... Pallies are just really nice (or OP, if u prefer) for progression/early stage of the game, because of the utility they bring with blessings.
Can someone pls tell me why the melees dont get any dmg at trash after garr. Our melees Keep on dying all the time and I can t recognize any diffrence in tanking and positioning.
because the trash packs after that are fire damage based and the fireguard and firewalker need to be separated to avoid big fire aoes from destroying your melees.
Gnome and Dwarf heavy raid. For PvP it is not so bad, breaking roots and slows. This is a core raid so 15 engineering is good. Oh and smaller hit box is good .
He ports to IF then leaves the raid, joins a new raid, and is summoned to Azshara. You need to be in a party to be summoned and dropping group then trying to get a summon inside a raid may cause issues. They are working on the quest chain to douse the runes and summon Rag. I don't know how Apes did it but it looks like they had two raids, one maybe doing the two grind and one in MC. They could then cycle players based on who they needed. Somewhere else on RU-vid is a video with actual comms.
Shit, I just started playing as Horde on Gehennas. maybe I should switch? Feels like this guild will steamroll everyone. Especially with their streamers.
I feel alliance is more popular but I couldn't handle being alliance on classic since it's all I play on live. The downside is you can't faction change.
@@Despond horde is way more popular on every server, also there are lots of top horde guilds on gehennas, and its actually unbalanced right now in favour of horde
@TinyHC true, but it terms of world pvp and general server activities, horde still had the edge. The only times alliance had a chance was with massive coordinated fighting.
I tell people raids take 3-4 hours and that classic is a long grind. Everything is a super grind. So much farming etc. Classic is faceroll easy for raiding until Naxx and a few bosses in aq40... yet you have to sink in 200 days played LOL.
True that, I really do not understand, why people want to do same grind shit again :)) It is like doing 1st grade at elementary school while you are 30 yrs old...
@@Krigfattig Well most bosses when one dude screws up it doesn't wipe the entire raid... it is not a hard boss. Seen wipes in WotLK with 25 man pugs. But yeah it just shows the raid who is bad.
@@Krigfattig out of 40 people when Naxx comes this is when the bad players start to hit a road block and have to get removed. Before Naxx bad players could do everything.
The game has been min-maxed via private servers. Everyone in this raid are pros. They brought the best dps classes in the game for fast kills, warriors and mages.
People got better at playing the game... things will seem easier if you are looking at it just like how many low mmr players think they can do what pro do in dota 2.

Incorrect. You need honored to get the douse and this you can do outside of raids by killing the earth and air elementals in Silithus up to 5999/6000 in Friendly. Those who had the rep ready before the raid then did the first MC part of quest, summoned to Azshara for 2nd part, summoned to BRM to do 2nd part and then repeat for 3rd part (to loot hands) until they had douses. We had a group of people in the raid who was among the first 60s to farm those for some hours while more and more was getting raid ready. Then some lower levels in guild stood at both Azshara and BRM summoning back and forth the ones who could douse.

Fucking hell piss of with your item level. This is classic. decent gear is enough for molten core we dont need to grind months for some fire restince gear so our own mistakes wont kill us. We had 15 years to study every single part of classic.

In the first 3 minutes you can tell that this is NOT vanilla wow. The entire raid riding togheter to get to the gates?? please, most people didn't even had a mount!
the one from 2005. 40lvl mounts were common but not everyone had one, and in a 40 man raid not everybody was from the same guild and randoms to fill were very common. Just getting to the raid entrance was a feat. That's all i'm saying

Practicly anyone who picked up skinning and sold everything to the vendor would have a mount by the time they're 40.. unless you buy all the skills you dont even need to buy, or constantly poach the AH. Keep in mind this is a guild thats been together for years, on private servers. so they know what to do when it comes to everything, even though getting your mount on 40 is a joke.

I said that when i played vanilla wow at least on my server not all people had a mount. And just getting to the entrance of the raid was a big mess. I like classic... but what i see here... you don't need any movement or mechanics to know, its super easy ^^ That's what i like in retail a bit more. (But i play both)
