If Leffen couldn't beat M2K here, he never would've been able to. Leffen being "on" this tourney (until WF), M2K playing bad due to lack of practice because of Smash 4, M2K being sick/vomiting and not getting a break because of Melee doubles and Smash 4, and Bo3 meaning no FD. Regardless, good job to Leffen for his play.

He's taken a set off each god now. He regularly ranks among them at tournaments. He took third here, taking sets off M2K and Mango. Beating Mango in particular was no upset. He's beaten Armada numerous times. It has to be said. Leffen is the sixth god of Smash. He's still not a nice person, but he's earned that place by skill.

Mew2king posted on his Facebook that he already beat leffen countless times but it wont matter until he loses and that is just sick but now that leffen finaly got a game mew2king can now play without pressure ... And just for good messure mew2king was infact sick had depressing problems even before apex at paragon even and was already considering dropping out of the tournament this is the truth this video is just very hearthbreaking for me because mew2king must have felt shut after this but i hope he bounces back

Leffen looked legit pissed that the set ended the way it did, mew2king literally fell into that up air and leffen knew it to. It definitely seems like leffen doesn't feel satisfied with that win.

Looking back on this and seeing what followed I'd say Leffen deserves this win regardless of what anybody can say. M2K was sick and depressed but he joined the tornament anyway and lost, it is heartbreaking but we have to deal with M2K's choices and admit that Leffen is one of the Five. It's not a sixth "Melee King" but he is one of them regardless. It's not "Johns" or trying to validate a loss, it's the principals that factor in and call it a fluke or a beat down the fact is Leffen won. I personally love any and every Smash player and supporter equally, to the Alpharads, Omni, Documentary fans, Ken, Villian, ChuDat, and Mang0s (HboX as well) we all need to help our players and keep then inspired by saying "It happens". PPMD personifying my points of " I lose and learn" playstyle that inspired me to get in Smash. Leffen for his "Villian" role is so damn cool and he is my favorite for Smash Lore reasons. I hope someone in the Smash boards see this and see that some nobody who mains Kirby and Puff in Melee, Megaman and Kirby in Sm4sh, and Snake in Brawl cares for this community and doesn't want anybody to quit.

this was just such a high energy set!! they both played ridiculously amazing omg their movement was incredible and the combos baby oohhh super action packed I was in the crowd losing my mind!!

It's like M2K really isn't ment to be good at this competitive game because he lacks a bunch of highly required traits of a player. Yet he still keeps going and places pretty good just by pressing these buttons exactly at the right time. It kinda seems like nobody tires as hard as M2K in this game, if he had any natural talent for melee, he would wreck everybody because then his play would just look like a TAS run.

Am I the only person who thinks m2k at his best can beat anyone? He can definitely be the best or worst on any given day.

I dunno about these illness johns, Mew2King's punishes actually looked like some of the best he's had. Might have been uncomfortable but he was playing better than at Paragon for sure.

People saying "M2K is sick." is clearly a John. Then they say, "Well he actually was sick. He was coughing blood." When you don't actually know that, and well I guess people can't say, "Mango was drunk." when you can clearly tell he is in some videos and people still say "No Johns.". M2K definitely looks okay to me. Shouldn't bother with his skill. I like both, but just admit Leffen is fucking good. Dang. It's the truth.

Anybody else find Leffen's Fox super boring? All I'm seeing is Up-Throw>Up-Air or Drill>Shine>Grab (sometimes Drill>Shine>Up-Smash).

90% of leffen KO's are up throw to up smash. He's really good but watching him is so boring. That combo M2K sometimes busts out is far more skill dependent.

I enjoy watching a good marth way more than i enjoy watching a good fox. Marth to me just feels like he takes so much more skill to be effective and when its done right you can 0 to death someone like m2k did at 1:27. Fox combos just seem boring and he is way easier to finish a kill with. One up smash or up air at around 90% and your toast. Sure Marths edge guard shows the boring and easy side of him but when someone does an awesome Marth combo and finishes with a down air i love it. 3:25 is why I enjoy playing and watching marth more than fox. Maybe i just love down air kills but damn. The whole second set was awesome by m2k.
