Content is slow and stale?!?!?! They released 7 LTMs in the past 9 months, gave every champ perks a season ago, 2 map updates in 1 year with another new map coming next season.
@@jtamm1988 the effort needed to change some game settings to make an LTM vs the effort needed for a new legend or map is not even comparable. When the game came out, there was a schedule for new legends. Now it’s super rare and new maps are even more rare.

Legend wise they literally told if every season new legends it will become too chaotic which i most def agree considering all the visual clutter we already have, just my opinion tho. Instead they went other route by re-working old legends which also is good idea. Then they added skill tree which makes overall balancing all legends easier. You can't really compare a game when we had like 8 characters and barely any visual clutter against what like 25 now? Would be even more if they had released on same schedule. Same goes for weapons, cod is good example with 100 weapons and ppl use 3:D Prob isn't 100 was just random number to make a point:D
What is up with the server issues? I'm curious what servers are those with so many problems? I'm playing in ff2 and i've experienced almost zero lag/packet loss in like 5 seasons if not more. Had once or twice per season i think. Is it like NA servers? Or am i just weirdly lucky with the time i play.

The things I wish they would invest into are: * better servers * better engine * better Anty cheat add what you would like and hopefully we get a list of priorities for EA and Respawn since they seem to not be able to distinguish between priorities

I personally don't care about the battle pass. I would never spend real money on a battlepass, so I'm not their target audience. Like most people say, it's not even the battle pass that people are upset about. It's the fact that the game is in shambles while they continue to raise prices and gouge people.
I think most og players wouldn’t care if respawn/ea actually took care of their game and offered value that warranted the extra cash. The original team made a great game but the current management is total trash. I bought a ton of stuff in the past, too much, but I’ll never spend a dime on this game again unless they take better care of their game.

Saying ,” i dont really buy skins or the bp so this doesnt really matter to me.” Is a round about way of saying the tried and true,” if you dont like dont buy it.” Other people do care about that, theyve had it this way for 5 years. He can, you know, use what little of a platform or leeway he might have to tell EA/Respawn that this path aint looking too hot. I wouldve had more faith if he brought up the actual issues with the servers, audio, and cheaters but he stayed quiet on those too.
@@AntonioGonzalez-ht5ck He's mostly staying consistent on his beliefs that cosmetics aren't content and due to his experience as a game dev he understands that in the end Respawn needs to make a profit and that this change is designed with that in mind. Whether or not these changes actually become profitable is up to the playerbase when given the option, but it isn't looking to good for those that want to boycott the game. Considering how many people claim they reuse Apex coins from the previous battlepasses, it would probably only take a few 100 people purchasing the next battlepass to show statistical increase in profit compared to previous seasons. Which sadly will signal to Respawn that this change is good for business.

I played the game religiously for the past couple of years. I have now not played it in over two months. The appeal is gone and when I heard about this, it justifies my decision to step away from the game.
If Respawn doesn't do something massive by the end of this calendar year I think Apex is doomed. I don't think anybody would be upset with these Battlepass changes if they simply had a good product. The cheater problem is worse than it's ever been, servers are getting worse by the day despite the player count never being lower and there is there are no new features or content besides the odd LTM here and there. I love Apex more than anybody but man is this game in the dumps right now.
Maybe it's because I'm Xbox in America but I don't believe I encounter cheaters generally ever, or I'm just not good at telling if they are. But I agree the servers are really the main problem for me, not a huge problem to me personally as it's not TOO common I get thrown out of games, but I know for some it is. And they have more than enough money to fix the issue, it might be they were stupid and signed a deal with a server company so they can't switch, but that would still be their fault.
I'm on the opposite side of this you bring up a good point but I feel like people are mad including me is they changed it for pure greed players were ok with the battle pass vary few complains about it so them changeing it is purely for money thats why people are mad forcing people to pay for it no matter what instead of rewarding players who put in the time to complete it is honestly really fucked up
@@eldenvedetta635 in higher ranked lobbies (Master/Pred) there is atleast 1 cheater per match especially on PC. Huge content creators like HisWattson have pleaded with Respawn all season for help but everyone gets ignored. Hideouts (head of security for Respawn) even unfollowed HisWattson after he was asked to ban the cheater that kept stream sniping him.
@@dices. The entirety of Hideouts should be fired for that. Ignoring a customer is one thing, but then being petty enough to UNFOLLOW shows that they were mad he asked them to do their job.
BTW! Supercell has 40 people working on clash of clans! The game brings in at it's highest in 2015 (1.5 billion) and last year 400 million in 2023. Their entire company now has nearly 600 people, so they've grown a lot. Just a clarification on their team size compared to the earnings a game brings.
To be fair, apex has its own engine which gotta be maintained and is more complex to develop in and more realistic graphics take more time than low poly. Also apex has to take more platforms into account compared to clash of clans and apex has 4 major updates per year and clash of clash has 1 or 2.
All I gotta say is look how epic treats their fan base, no overpricing, no REOCLORS FOR FULL PRICE, same old BP system, new ltms before ufen every other week. the grind for casuals is DEAD. It also maps it for every other game to get greedy with their fan base. EA should be happy they have had thos many players this long either all the issues they haven't fixed for multiple seasons. Enough is enough. Grrt litterally showed on his current video that they have lied to us OVER AND OVER again and I'm not gonna take that abuse from a MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR COMPANY. Communication be a great start, they also lied on keeping us in the pool when there are issues.been silent the whole time and that's just a smack in the face to the day 1s and loyals that have come after.
Less levels, less time to complete, more money to be spent. Clearly none of the players want this. Other things like 20 tick servers, cheaters, matchmaking…. Are all also drips in the bucket. Each one on there own dosent matter but all of them combined have a compounding effect on regular players. This guy has a vested interest in this game doing well as his livelyhood depends on it and I doubt he would want his corporate overlords to look badly on him.
I mean like even if you want people to buy bp with real money at least make it once per season, once per split really shows greed and forcing casual people to grind more hours. IMO this is the way for EA and respawn making money and also at the same time making people to play more hours so they can keep this game relevant
The change would be totally fine if we could continue using apex coins to buy the battle pass. I will raise that and say, forcing the player base to buy the battle pass with real money would actually be tolerated as long the game didn't have so many other issues. The issues at the very least need to be addressed publicly. They literally just pretend the problems don't exist and try to distract the players with shiny new things. So far this strategy has worked well enough for them to get by, but it's obviously not a strong enough tactic to allow this blatantly disgusting bp change to be overlooked.
I'm still going to play, I'm just not going to buy the battle pass. What I'm worried about is if people don't have the battle pass to grind toward, player count could decrease, and if player count decreases enough, then the quality of games (matchmaking, wait time) will get worse. EA and Respawn need to realize that the only way a battle royale survives is by having a huge player base, and if they jeopardize that, it could start to crumble.
I respect you raynday for supporting this game this long since it’s release, but your potential in the gaming community could be spent elsewhere on other games.
Also, I think a lot of people are angry because the battle pass changes were presented like they were a gift to players. They tried to feed us a line about this being an improvement when it was obvious to everybody that it was worse for players.
It doesnt incite controversy it is creating a massive exodus within the community, on my discord server I have about 80 players that will never log in again. Most of which spent a lot of money on the game sometimes thousands. They are all quitting. They realized the futility of skins if gameplay isn't there to make it worthwhile or even at least interesting.
That’s the way of social media nowadays. Anyone that invested to leave so staunchly either has way too much time into the game or is hoping their exodus makes a big impact. Maybe it will! But I usually just do what I’d like to do, and I don’t make grand stands publicly for the sake of proving a point. If I don’t want to play or do something, I just don’t. It also seems odd when it happens so fast! The game is still going on and the changes haven’t taken effect yet, so why not just wait and see what happens? I’m obviously not bothered by cosmetic changes and lean more towards caring when balance/pro things occur - but that’s my sense.
@RayndayGaming I think that you are assuming that in this instance that people are leaving the game to make a statement or grand stand or whatever and that may be the truth for some people but that's still a hell of an assumption to make. Some people such as myself really just left the game because we just don't like how the game is being handled or how the players are being treated so why not go elsewhere and play different games. It's not always about making a statement for everyone and even if it is how does that invalidate any one of the complaints we have about the battlepass or about the other major issues about the game that haven't been fixed for years.

Whether there are other reasons they want to leave, fine. But I don’t think it can just be called “yeah I’m over it and not playing anymore” for most people who are commenting about being upset. I think that if you’re really just over it, you’d most likely leave without needing to explain yourself. Again, to each their own, but it’s clear that there are performative efforts while leaving to make a point, and there are also just real players who are leaving and picking up other games for now. My thing is as a gamer, I’m just gonna play what I feel like playing. So if I don’t play apex for a month (not usual for me but it’s happened when I’ve traveled a lot) then I might be more into Mobile games. I’m not uninstalling and telling the internet. That’s where the disconnect on my end comes into play. I still very much understand it happens, but my perspective on how I treat things I don’t like is much more of a quiet disengage vs a loud statement.
Aren't loud statements sometimes necessary? Especially if alot of the player base is not feeling heard? Why wouldn't we the players speak out or make a stand against something we don't like? it's pretty much the only power we have as players. It's not like we want to stop playing our favorite game. I mean as we can see from battlefield 2042 and battlefront it clearly works when the complaints are valid.

Its not about the cosmetics its about greed. I am a day 1 player and love the game. But the Devs invest very little into this game imo. Still no next gen, lazy recolor skins, server issues and cheaters. They invest so little into this community then turn around and expect us to invest in them? Not going to happen... It they go through with this I WILL uninstall the game. Again, not because I don't love it (3710 hours played) because I do but it about the principle. Gamers need to push back on corporate greed. This game is plenty profitable and makes tons of money. They just want more. Business is business but I can choose to take my business elsewhere which I most certainly will. Hope they decide this was a bad idea and pivot.
I’m not review bombing I’m just uninstalling. This change is a horrible change for the health of the game. I have 2K hours on Steam and about that on Xbox. I’m going to be honest your take here is pretty out of touch with the player base. I get that this is your job and that there could be repercussions professionally. But coming on here to defend EA is not helpful.
I think I’ve done a good job relating to why things matter to the player base who is upset. I’m not sure I relate to that player base because I have never spent any of my time complaining about a game online or any kind, or review bombing or taking a “stand” etc. I just, like you, disengage if it isn’t for me. I can really only control myself. I’ve got a full life that’s wonderful and has a lot going on besides just gaming, so when something frustrates me I either go back to irl or stop playing often. I’ve honestly focused on maintaining a good and conscious relationship with gaming though, since I know how important it is to have balance and I know how big of a part of my life it occupies as a source of joy and work. It isn’t my WHOLE life though, so this stuff doesn’t impact me on a personal level. I actually thought I did a decent job of explaining the issue for people while being clear I have my own opinion.

Behind the scenes the devs are doing what they can. Games aren’t a sinister business and the people behind games are very very passionate and care. If things aren’t happening it’s usually for a legitimate reason. I think I’ve seen a money only decision happen once in my career and it was to truly save the game (not apex) from essentially going bankrupt. It was a choice out of necessity not greed, though it was entirely to get more money. Sometimes convos happen at high levels and force decisions and they put devs in a bind. Companies hitting numbers and earning increased revenue is just part of what happens in a public company and whether that’s the reason for this or whether they are trying to legitimately improve the battlepass and got the community sentiment wrong, idk. But it’s not going to have me walking around the house pissed off all day. Hope not for you either my man

With all the cheating and match making issues, the only real joy I had was to hop on each week and complete the weekly challenges.. it gave me a reason to log on. I’ll still hop on now and then but definitely not as much as before because I won’t be supporting this kind of behavior by buying anything anymore. And this is coming from someone who has played since Day 1. Guess it’s time to complete all the games I have on the back burner.
They just had an event for a $300 death box which is still the worst thing I’ve seen. Still even more greedy than the battle pass. This is bad but that was rough.😂😂
It’s especially that it’s this on top of all the other outstanding issues for seasons and seasons on the end. That they pull something like this, while still having complaints like cheaters and server issues being completely unfixed.
I think apex has so much potential, I still love the gameplay mechanics and they have proved they can do more with it. Give us kitted weapons and plenty of batts to heal with. I say get rid of health heals all together and give us health Regen in trios. Respawning TDM w/small zone that shifts around the map with a high score req for winning. Game would be amazing. BP monetization would be fine if we got great changes to gameplay imo
No one is talking about this, as a casual player I rarely get to level 110 BP. I struggle to get to 100. They upped the requirement to 120 levels per season and I can`t see myself getting it completed. I probably wouldn`t buy it anyways but I`m sure I wont get max rewards so it seems like an even worse value for me.

Un installed Apex Legends yesterday and never going back and unsubscribing from the channel cause you're obviously in EA's pocket. I played Apex since day 1 with 4.5k hours and have purchased dozens of battle passes and skins. A blind man can see Apex Legends issues.
Love the content man! If I’m to be honest. I’m a little upset about it. But I’ve been playing Apex since day 1 and i have an extreme passion for it. It sucks you have to pay for the battle pass twice now. But in the grand scheme of things, it’s only $20 total. Unless you get the premium. (Which i won’t be doing) lol.
I think it’s deeper than the battle pass fans are fed up with how the state of the game is i personally quit because it doesn’t feel the same anymore it’s not the fun game that i fell in love with as of recently I’ve been playing Overwatch 2 and have been having so much fun so maybe people are just getting bored or burnt out i think that’s what happened to me at least for the most part also i do want to mention that I wouldn’t mind buying the new battle pass if the game was in a good state and if the devs would communicate more and i also heard they’ve been hiding comments on X about people complaining about cheater’s all in all i think if nothing changes this year more and more people will leave this game and it will be a shell of what it was

I think the issue is we don’t share similar belief in how to handle things we don’t like. I genuinely have never been in control of whether you enjoy or don’t enjoy apex. I make videos and switched to apex because I like it. I know many people seem to use morality nowadays to describe video game practices but I just see it as realistic. Many more money focused games out there. It doesn’t start or end with apex, it just the business. There’s not a version of me that would’ve ever really had an issue with this personally, because I normally only buy something if I want it and keep it pushing if I don’t. I also, having worked at a gaming company for 3 years, know that this change doesn’t negate any of the work developers are doing towards improving apex. The people behind the game are awesome and care a lot. Lastly, I think everyone needs to take a deep breath and realize this is a game. I’ve got thousands of hours on it too. If something is bothering you, play another game, take a break - live your life! Don’t worry I will be fine. I wouldn’t let stuff like this start to dip into how you feel about people or frustrate you because in the grand scheme of things it won’t be a big deal. That’s my take as a human. Not a bot/ea partner. I’m sure you mean well and love apex, so do I. I’ll continue to care a lot about the game but this video is just to let people know what’s happening - not to be used as an outcry to ea or anyone to change things. I don’t like some balance changes that impact the pro league, but I adjust and see what happens and they typically end up ok. Or, the very next season they get patched. Things will work out and if it’s truly a bad change and impacts the game and players I’m sure they’ll look at adjusting it.
@RayndayGaming I think what's bothering people about your take is that while they are willing to fight for the long-term success of the game they love, you don't seem to care. Maybe it's just couching your words to preserve future employment opportunities with EA, but in any case it isn't vibing. I don't care about cosmetics either (I'm older than you, WAY pre-cosmetics), but I can still see how much this hurts the game and community. Just saying "then walk away" is kind of insulting. It's the best PvP ever made IMO, and I think it's worth fighting for.
Longtime console player here (8500hrs) and this just feels kinda crappy that these shifts are coming after so many years of operation. I will go on record, I am pro pay for battle pass upfront. This is how I support f2p games I love. I stopped buying passes or any coins and just coasted the battle passes for the last few seasons because of the dismal state of the game. I’ve pulled my support, because it’s less enjoyable. And yet I still play because Battle Pass. Now I’m expected to buy it twice in a season when I don’t even want to pay once. I’ll be playing a lot less Apex. Perhaps if the change happened in season 7, as an example; yea it feels crappy, but for all the reasons you’ve stated, it wouldn’t of been surprising, given the popularity, at the time. Then maybe the rest of monihtazation attempts wouldn’t have this “Jared from Subway” feel about it.
I think if it’s the same battle pass we’ve been getting then it’s not worth the 20 bucks. They better make the battle pass actually worth it, but even then, I think people are over it.
I don't have an issue with monetisation in general. The only issue I have is that it doesn't show that it goes into addressing some big issues with cheaters, and here in New Zealand/Australia, the Sydney servers have been cooked for weeks now. Almost every game with pocket loss etc., which forces us to play on other regions with 150ms ping. Another thing is predatory collection events which, even when I don't spend money, mentally trigger as gambling practices. If they wouldn't use predatory events and address some bigger issues with the game, it would be taken OK even if you cannot buy it using in-game currency etc. That about it.
ever since the battle pass change was announced, i've stopped playing. and i'm a semi-pro player myself; hitting masters every season, but i've stopped because its the same old game over and over.. plus u got a 75% chance of playing against cheaters in diamond lobbies. they cant do anything to save apex, they've dug themselves such a big hole it's nearly impossible to get out of.
I see the battle pass as a core component of the game, so basically doubling the cost per season and taking the rolling currency away just seems like a cheap money grab especially to someone who has been playing since season one bought the BP every season and has willingly spent roughly $20 most seasons in cosmetics. Never made sense they had the coins as BP rewards to begin with but that’s their fault. You don’t take it away and also double the price per season!!
I also don't really care about cosmetics, however i love reactive skins that change on kills. I purchased the first BP and have bought the rest with the rewards. I forget the exact number, but I think in about 15-18 of the seasons I ONLY played enough to get to 110 on the BP. Many times I wanted to play other games, because I hate when ranked is more about kill farming instead of placement and that is just about every season. I don't think I will play as much now that I won't be buying the BP. I don't play pubs, and these days all my other friends already quit because of the no audio since day 1/we all hate aim assist more than words can describe. I think this is the end of apex for me as well.
I wouldn't mind the change as much if they fixed some key issues with the game that have plagued it for a while. But, every update just makes it worse.
The whole game is free with 5 (soon to be 6 BR maps), 25ish champs, mixtape modes with its own exclusive maps. Sure its a loss but I don't even use nor care for the skins I earn in the BP besides the reactive weapon
As a season 9 player these last 3 seasons have just been not fun, half of the content is the skins, new event which you have to spend $300 for a death box or if you want a skin you have to gamble for it, adding a new type of shard that you basically have to pay for and now this bp change, but the money is sure not going into the anti cheat or servers as there more hackers then ever and now me and my friends just rubber band just 2nd match
EA sports has a chokehold on the two games I love, FIFA and Apex. Introducing battlepass systems that NO ONE asked for when all people want is for the game to work. EA will NEVER CHANGE
The battle pass change itself is a good change. The idea of having to pay money instead of getting it free is the issue people seem to have which I think is sad and I'll explain below. To address the battle pass changes first, In the battle pass we get double the crafting metals, 3 more apex packs than before, 3 thematic packs we didn't get before, but only 1 reactive skin (per BP), and everything else is basically the same but we get it in 60 levels instead of 110.... Sounds great to me. Then at mid-season you can do it all again basically getting more than double the items we got before. Nobody can tell me that's not a good thing. It gives us more of the good items each half season than we got all season with the old BP and less of the crap. Now the issue of having to pay using money instead of an in-game currency we get from playing a free-to-play game.... In my opinion the battle pass is worth $10. Honestly it's the best priced thing we can buy in the game. 1 Legendary Item costs $18. If you get both battle passes for $20 you get 4800 crafting metals. That's enough to buy 4 Legendary Items which would typically cost $72 ($18 each), plus a reactive skin that is more than a legendary, not including whatever skins are already in the BP so we get our money's worth. If your argument is that you can't afford the battle pass and somehow that ruins the experience for you, you have other issues. Maybe play games less and work on your personal finances a little more. This is coming from someone that has 2 kids that also play Apex so I purchase the BP 3x each season. Now a quick mention of the Premium+ BP.... It has always been dumb to me since it just gives us the same items just faster, but now they're giving bonus stuff which may or not be worth it depending on the person. If I didn't have every Legend unlocked it may be worth it but I've been able to use all the "free" Apex coins to purchase every single legend in the game so it's still not worth it to me just its a cool addition for someone new to the game wants to try out all the Legends before committing to buying one. I'm not saying Apex is perfect. They have a ton of other issues that need addressing, and soon, but this BP change is not a bad change IMO. The game needs change and most of the changes they've made over the years have been good for the game. Now lets focus of the cheaters and SBMM for starters.
Biggest problem is making changes to get more money when the state of the game is the worst: bad servers, lags, cheaters, bot farming, bad matchmaking. If the gaff fixes that and made the battle pass changes, pretty sure many would have accepted it
Im with you when it comes to cosmetics. I dont really care about skins, and the only heirloom i got was Lobas. She's my most played character, so i figured i would bling her out. Plan on getting her skin when i get more shards. Right now, she is rocking the Black Ops look. I dont want to support the game that i have put thousands of hours in. But you got to do better by your players. Would it have been a problem if all they did was remove the ability to use the Apex coins to buy the battlepass? Maybe also throw in some chances at loot crates. But dont split the season. I wonder if that would have been a wiser course of action.
Doesn’t really impact me at all. I honestly play through half of the season anyway. Cosmetics are not a big deal for me. It’s free to play and it’s my choice to pay for the extra stuff. But I do understand for those that do that it is a change.
I am HAPPY for this change. The DOUBLE crafting material ALONE makes it worth it, but you also still get the coins. So people like me who buy skins a LOT, are losing nothing. I just spend some of the money I normally would on a skin, on the battlepass. And the coins I get usually for the battlepass is now able to be for skins. Then it's EXTRA getting the 2400 crafting material instead of 1200.
Why do crafting materials matter if you can only craft basic skins? Events no longer allow you to craft, and you can craft any from battle passes. Crafting materials are essentially useless after this move. This comment makes no sense.

Literally the last event that came out I was able to pay 2400 Crafting material for the Conduit Revenant-Look-Alike skin 😂 As well, I use crafting material for finishers and emotes more since those are not usually sold. The comment makes perfect sense if you actually play Apex Legends.

I think the main issue is that this is the major change in a situation where there are many ongoing issues with the game. It seems like the motivation is purely a monetary one rather than trying to satisfy the people by addressing the current issues. Now if they had made a real effort to “fix” the game and then they made the change then I personally would be ok with the change. There still would be hate and dissatisfaction but there wouldn’t be as much controversy.
The battle pass change is an absolute money grab, and it is not what the Apex community deserves. I've played since day one. EA is HUNGRY for our money, $40 cosmetics? Two battle passes we cannot "earn?" Sad time to be an apex fan.
It’s about Greed and asking for more money and not addressing the main issues this dead game has. They’re ignoring the player base, hide critical replies under their posts and the only news we’re getting are cosmetics….
I actually don't mind this change personally. Outside of having to pay direct cash, this change gives more rewards and greater value with less time needed to be invested but for essentially the same price as previous seasons. And from what I understand, alot of people have said they would be fine with these changes if the game felt like it was a more complete and improved product. Less cheaters, less bugs, better matchmaking, even more communication between Respawn and the playerbase. Though honestly, the stance everyone is taking against this change is far more better than what Titanfall players did with boycotting over a single minor nerf.
For me its not just the battle pass changes... its the fact that the game has been pretty bad with the same issues that havent been fixed, cheaters still very active, audio is still nonexistent & the game crashes itself WAY too often for something being actively worked on by a AAA studio. So all that compounded with the fact that not only can you not get the battlepass for free anymore, but you have to buy it TWICE (insane decision) is just all too much for me to forgive. The only way apex survives this is if they make the game WORTH spending $20 a season for.
Honestly idc so much about the buying of it without being able to use coins because I already do buy it. But charging twice a season ontop of saying the rarity of the battle pass like the skins you get will be released later down the road for people who didn’t have it is soooooo stupid. There’s something about getting killed by that one guy but he got you with the season 2 pk skin or something where your like okay you a og I respect that. Or a day one blood or wraith skin. Let things be rare. Let the people who where there for you game at certain points get to rep that. It’s like a “I was here” carved in. Take all that away and honestly there’s no reason to buy your battle pass in the first place. Dumbest move ever
Review bombing essentially doesn’t really do anything. People need to actually have self control and not purchase micro transactions if we are to see change.
I'm not upset because I'm happy to support a game I've enjoyed so much for so long. The new pass will actually give me something to do in the 2nd half of the season as I typically complete the Pass before mid season. Plus twenty dollars just isn't much money.
It's pretty simple, EA wanting MORE MONEY after laying off how many again I've lost count, increased overpriced predatory gambling events, ranked cheaters and sbmm is in shambles. If the product is good people will support. But removing yet another reason to even play the game despite its dire state. Not good. However you can tell Respawn are trying with Solos, Quads, new legend Alter, a new map rumoured to be very close to release. But, with all this spend spend spend attitude and ignoring BLATENT ISSUES, it's over shadowing the potential of the game and this is just the last rock that broke the camels back.

The battlepass is just the trigger of so many issues APex has. I don't know how to say it, its like "It is enough Apex". The more concerning issues are their server stability, rampant cheater, lack of interesting contents. Without the good mechanic Apex has this game would have been gone already. Why the battlepass is such an important topic because it matters to the casuals..... As an office worker I can only spend a little time for this game, and the mission to gain the battlepass level is what keep motivates me to play the game. This season I could not even make it to level 50 in the first split which makes the NEW battlepass system is definite no buy for me. Also probably will make more new player stay away from the game. I love this game, I love the voice actors, I love the community...... and this is the only reason I mad at them, I want the game to be more successfull.
I don’t think people would care about the battles pass if the game was in good standing. I have played over 2000 hours, spent over 2k and the game is unplayable once you hit diamond bc of cheaters. There are so many cheats on this game it’s insane. I don’t mind paying all the battle passes and anything as long as they fixed the game and its crashing and issues as well as stopped cheating. If they said they did this to invest more into stopping cheating im all in. But I see it more ass apex probably sell’s the cheats themselves and also is going to create a battle pass to avoid cheating and make money both ways
Look. Most of us get the whole money making aspect. In fact I bet a lot of us have played or still play other games that have the same kind of system. HOWEVER this wouldn't be so much of an issue or make too much difference if they fixed their game. THAT is the issue here. They're making a ton of money but aren't re-investing some of it into keeping their game functional. I'm also a season 0 fortnite player for instance. They have updated their engine TWICE. For the most part the game is super stable and if there's an issue they get right on it. Meanwhile apex is out here saying they "can't" update their engine (honestly I think it's won't) or even after billions of dollars not moving over to another to keep the longevity of the game. This engine came out 20 years ago. There's constant de-syncs, server issues, disconnects, every single time I join my group in quads it loops us getting kicked out and re-joining so we have to exist the whole game and come back in, sound issues, massive cheater problems, laying off a TON of employees and QA testers which shows in game because with every big updated something breaks, etc etc. Yet they keep upcharging us more. That part is what's irritating me. If you're gonna charge us more at least address the massive issues that EVERYONE is talking about and DON'T silence/block/hide comments with legit concerns. That just shows your outright greed. All that's happened here is things piled up to the point where this was shown and people basically "snapped"
The next season will be the last for me. The battle pass update was the last straw. We hardly get any new guns or good legend changes and now they want to do this? I'm out, this is coming from someone with 2k hours on this game
We haven't say much about bugs, hackers, server issues, terrible matchmaking, bad rank system, cheaters, movement advantage in PC, few maps etc. just because we had the battle pass lets say for free, but now they want to charge us twice every season for what we're used to have for free? ok, but first fix what I mention, because if we pay money we have the right to demand and get results if they dont come, players will leave, as simple as that.
