Apex Legends Gun Run LTM Has a BIG PROBLEM 

I'd love to see them update the LTM and polish it a lot more. Having a cycle of LTM wouldn't be a bad idea. I miss those modes like Control. So much fun

Turret kills don't count unless you hit them once with your gun. Still pretty OP strat, but not as crazy as you think.

As long as you deal damage with your actual gun first, kills with any legend ability count. Nothing quite like ranking up your weapon while you're dead because you're playing caustic.

Setting up a rampart fortress doesn’t sound half bad

First time I played Gun Run with Rampart, I used the turret to see if it would change my weapon. It didn't so I stopped using it. I didn't realize it have me points lmao. But that's not gun game so I won't use it anyway

I don't think kills with anything other than the gun should count. That's rampart Turret to Vantage Sniper or Bangalores Smoke Nade. And you should have to do more than 50% of the DMG with the required weapon so you can't shoot them twice with Vantage's Ult and finish them with your gun.

Biggest problem is snipers!!! Not everyone is Mande or Aceu.

I like gun run but I feel that for improving the gun skill and to get wormed up for BR the Control was much better. I would be really happy if they made permanent playlist from non-br LTMs like winter express, control and gun run.

from what i've seen online, (i've tested this myself) if you get a kill using just sheila or vantage's sniper, it doesn't count towards upgrading your gun. if you do damage with your primary weapon and then switch to sheila or vantage's sniper to get the kill, then it will count.

I'm pretty sure you still have to first deal damage with your primary weapon for the Shiela kill to count. I'm not sure if killing an enemy with Shiela that your teammate damaged counts though. I would guess not.

I think the main issue is no leaver penalty. A team gets too far ahead or too coordinated you just leave. I didn't play like that at first but now I get annoyed too easily with all the leavers and 3 stack teams.

Dont you need to do damage with your gun in order for the kill to count toward your progression, same with vantage ult? Like, you get the kill on your stats, but it doesn't give you the next gun

You just gotta love the master/20 bomb/4k wattson camping in the streamer building, they must be having so much fun by doing that

They should make this a game mode, not a limited one, absolutely love it

Fuse cluster also works. Just stick someone who is low with it, but one shot if your weapon and if the cluster kills them, it’ll count.

Thats an issue but not how you're thinking, using outside kills like melee in gun game style modes should give you a kill, but not advance your weapon. Which you should not be able to win w/o advancing to the final weapon and getting a kill. Sheila should be a way to rack up extra kills that do not count toward the game win.

Another cheese thing in Gun Run is running a caustic wattson combo on Fragment. Streamer building belonged to us all game

I noticed that the bow isnt playable too, when the rampage is also a care package weapon. I played vantage and got a few sniper kills but they didn't count as a point on the LTM, so idk if its situational or what, either way the mode is super fun and the high speed respawn and fighting is great on apex👍

My favorite part of rampart in GR is her walls, they've gotten me 2-4 quick kills too many times in just 2 days

a bigger problem is them not having abandon penalties the amount of times why a team doesn't have a player for me is insane... why yall can't just play through the game?? wtf bro

I like to place random mini guns around the map in turret nests just for people to have fun and spice up the match

I think the condition is you need to shoot them once with the actual gun then you can finish them with Sheila, its why Fuse works so well in this mode.

0:26 Excpet it isn't. There's a bug where you can get a knife kill, but not get the win so you get stuck unable to win and can get infinite kills until another team wins. Also, if you die in this state you lose knife and have to melee.

This also sorta works with fuse’s tactical/ultimate. One time I damaged an enemy a lot, then I shot a cluster at them. I died, but the cluster killed them and I still got the points.

I don't know y but I am getting bored of this game I mean I still enjoy it but the game just feels too bland as they aren't adding nothing new in it

Even though Sheila and walls are strong, it's not like there aren't counters like mad Maggie and fuse. I'd also like to see all the weapons that aren't included(minus the kraber) in the game mode whether they rotate or are just straight up added

Technically the team can get more than 25 kills as melee kills cause demotion I believe - Need to confirm this but I am pretty sure from me playing it.

I think personally one thing that they should punch with the new gun run LTM is the vantage sniper strat

i feel Rampart has kinda ruined every LTM they've released. Vantage i guess you could say does the same too. I think in gun run damage abilities that are abused and used as weapons should be disabled that would mean Rampart, Fuse, Valkyrie, Vantage couldn't use their abilities. Now for me personally. These characters aren't doing me in too much in gun run other than Fuse. But i see a lot of other people finding it far more annoying and don't tolerate it as much as I do.

You know guys if you see a rampart camping the top floor just dont fight them, if they come down and immediately go back up DO NOT CHASE dont encourage them and just fight at ground level

They should disable rampart and vantage ultimates and have a message when you select them saying that it’s not optimal and ask if you wanna change legends

Not sure if they fixed this already, but I got a kill w/ only Sheila on someone hiding behind a door and I got a KP for it, but my gun was still the same (3030) so it didn’t count toward the 25?

Gun Run is fun, for sure, but Control remains the best (alternative) mode Apex has ever had. Control is just so.... _satisfying_

Gun run is OK. The skulltown map I don't even bother playing it's just rooftop simulator.

I love the game mode, but two things need to happen. 1. Have a solo option so it’s free for all, and 2. Make the Respawn time waaaay quicker. So much crap can happen in 6 seconds, it’s ridiculous

Honestly it isn't that broken and it shouldn't be patched simply because kills with just Sheila don't count towards the progress. Same goes to any kill with just an ability. They do not progress you to the next gun; you must damage them with a gun before ability kills progress the counter.

Pesonally I'd prefer if this mode didn't have abilities at all. Especially Fuse and Caustic are extremely annoying in this mode

Sounds like a perfect respawn problem. Every time they launch anything there are glitches and problems all the time. Abuse it who cares.

It's fine. You don't get the next gun unless you hit them with primary also. It's the same with all abilities. It's a good compromise, lets you use your abilities to break setups but you don't go up a weapon kill unless you've had to take the gun switch penalty. You're just obsessed with this idea.

It's a casual mode, you still need to damage the enemy with you weapon, If Sheila doesn't count, caustic gas, Fuse cluster, and Magie drill shouldn't count either. I don't mind it really if there was a ranked mode on this one, maybe.

So fun playing rampart. I just camp top of zip building on world's edge at the top of the stairs with two walls and Sheila. Don't patch it respawn. Or else they can patch out every tactical/ultimate ability that does damage.

I didn't use my turret because I thought it wouldn't work. But then it worked when I finished someone off with my knuckle cluster as fuse and I was itching to try Sheila.

Rampart is the 2nd lowest picked legend...I see this as an absolute win. Unless they give her a real buff and not the crap we got the last time, I will forever terrorize players with Sheila

In most of my games, when the MVP players have 15k+ kills they only have one teammate. Has that happened much to you??

The other problem is when random Caustic or Wattson just camping and waiting for enemies in a building like they are playing Control.

This entire LTM has become garbage. I'm getting the dumbest teammates and people are exploiting everything

The Sheila only counts of you tag them with the other weapon first. Anytime I hit the full 150 with Sheila it didn’t count for the new weapon.

Rev is the best for this ,ode in my opinion rn, dropped a 23 kill win with only one other member in my squad, the crouch straffing and silent wall climb are so good to get behind people

In Apex legends there is an ultimate that can give you a zipline that goes straight across to high ground wherever and there's an ultimate that can deal like 5000 damage in 30 seconds

Have they reduced Max health in this game mode? Or is this just how squishy people actually are

Sheila (and vantages ult) only count if you have already done damage to the enemy. If you do a fresh kill with either, it won't count

First snipers and shotguns only having a problem like this now gun run you would think they would just disable those legends from it

I’ve had a gun progress with vantages ult, I think it was a rare bug because I tried it when i had the charge rifle (🤢) but it didn’t work that time

caustic is worse in this mode. just spams cans everywhere so you are constantly losing hp which doesnt recharge like your shield. Caustic sucks in control too, he ruins everything

on console ramparts turret gives you kills but it doesn’t change your gun. caustics gas however can upgrade your gun because you are holding your gun when you get the kill

I wish vantage fuse and ramparts ability’s counted as a melee and knocked people’s rank back instead

That's weird that it works for Rampart, but it doesn't work if you get a kill with Vantage.

white shields is the absolute dumbest part of the whole thing. you die instantly and can almost never take a fight without dying from across the map. Blue should be minimum and then upgrade to purple once the top team reaches a certain threshhold

I don't think you should be able to use abilities in general, at least ultimates. I feel like this is a purely gunplay based ltm, and being able to have a gibby, caustic, and rampart hole up on top of streamer building is a little dumb

Technically you can get more than 25 kills because if you die from melee you can actually get demoted.

I haven't been rampart spammed in gun run yet and regardless it's temporary so the nerf wouldn't matter. I like having that obstacle in my way and it's not like all 4 teams can't have one on their team to balance it out.

If you camp in the one building with the 2 stairs and the glass thing where the train used to go, you set up a wall and just kill. Kill kill kill.

I don't feel like it should be patched because you can do the same thing with fuses knuckle clusters and his ult as well as caustic gas and revanents tactical etc its only fair, if Nerf one ability might as well Nerf them all

Does anyone else have the issue where you cap at scoring points for the quest? No matter how good I do or how many I win, I can't seem to get past 1k points a day

It's the caustics that have ruined gun run for me... Camped all over with gas traps.

this is not an issue at all.... you still need to deal damage with the main gun, and between that shot, swapping, charging, and killing thats actually just putting rampart at a disadvantage.

i was in worlds eddge gun run some rampart team filled the whole entire building w walls i had 14 kills on my own match almost over i wanted the 15 so what i did was i used the ziplines to finess did a 360 over and headshot dead

honestly not the only issue with gun run it gets boring really fast and no solo queue its gonna be a dead LTM in a week atleast with the control LTM you could use fun guns now you go through every weapon in the game because your team cant get a kill and whos idea was it to give only a white evo yet octane and lifeline keep their health abilities but wattson is limited to an ult that can only charge a white shield unless you go out of your way to queue with lifeline players to get blues talk about catering to the 3 stacks that pick champs to help each other and the solo queue player gets forgotten again what a lame event was really looking forward to it too

I got some kind of wierd bug when playing gun run where I got a kill with the knofe but the game didn't end, then I killed another one with the knife and still nothing, then I died and when I respawned I had no guns at all, so I killed 2 players with only these hands and still none, at the end when another squad got a knife kill the game ended but my squad still got the W

i just wanna say that i was in a team called the "nessie team" and apparently its really rare like 1 in 4000. its cool but nothing different other than name

this game mode could be a lot more fun but the map selection is bad . oddly fragment is the best one so far . they really need to design a small map that fit this game mode . mobility legends are already good but they are requirement for this game mode imo (maybe give you a generic class that have two tactical abilities)

should disable all passives and abilities and only be a gun game not a who has damage ability game. That would be truly different
