Using Aphogee 2 step protein treatment for the first time on my low porosity natural hair. I have to say I love it as much as I did when I was relaxed. If you're low porosity you will need to deep condition with heat after.

I’m low porosity and have been natural for 17 yrs. I almost never used protein 2 months ago I decided to try the aphogee 2 step. What a difference!! I will be using every 6 weeks. Last week was my second time using and my hair feels great!!

Aphogee is for damaged hair. If you hair isn't damaged or breaking dont use it. Do lots of moisutre treatments instead.

Not being sure if this is too harsh for my hair, I just use the 2 minute reconstructor and a deep conditioner. Seems to work.

I thought I had heat damage from the last time I got my hair straightened in December. It took me 2mths to finally decide to just slowly chop it off. I got my ends cut, did a protein treatment and my hair came back to life. I wish I thought to use apogee when I shampoo’d my hair after getting it straightened.

Quick tip , put it in a spray bottle next time its soooo much easier !, less dripping & stickiness I was worried about it not coming out the spray nozzle but it was fine

Ive been doing this every 6 weeks & loving the results. Ive been keeping my hair at the same length for years so even though its pretty healthy, this has still been great to maintain my hair.

I love your videos...you’ve been the blogger with the hair closest to mine and following you has helped my hair flourish...usually your recommendation work AMAZING on my hair but Aphrogee was just too much for my hair (made it hard as stray and unmanageable) ...for other low porosity natures who can’t use this particular product, I suggest the protein treatment line from Shea Moisture....it works SO well on my hair

Pour what you want to use into an applicator bottle. Shake the bottle and then apply to your hair. Much less mess.

Update: spray bottle worked just fine! Here were the specs: 1. My hair is 4c and mid-back 2. I used a mini spray bottle (one that was exactly 4oz and spray with little mist effect to go through my hair 3. I decided to wear a tank top thankfully because your hair sticks to everything it touches as it dries 4. Spray bottle gets really sticky during application Hope that helps!

I tried this about a week ago wasn't a big fan of the moisturizer. I deep condition with the same product you did but I didn't mix the two together as you did. It left my hair feeling really dry😬😬. I am also low porosity btw. So I don't know if I'll be able trying this again

hi did you put the shea moisture treatment on top of the balance treatment then steamed your hair or rinsed out the balancing treatment then placed the shea treatment to steam?

Ive been using the shampoo and reconstruct condish and green tea leave in to help my hair recover. Last year i had gotten severe heat damage and cut my hair from tailbone to bra strap 😢. I'm still cutting😢. I also had surgery and now i have post surgery shedding and its thin and high po now... my poor fro is stressed! I will be doin the two step soon bcus this is not enough. Btw i was wondering how you were gonna get that lil bottle on all that hair.

From my angle, it looks like the Aphogee 2 step left your hair looking stiff. And I’m not trying to be mean but that’s what I see on the screen. Is it supposed to look like that?

Yes it is, she said it's supposed to create a hard cast once you dry it. Then you rinse it out, follow it up with the second product, and deep condition to achieve balance again.

The two-step treatment has to dry and become stiff *before* you rinse it out. That's the protein working. It's important that when it becomes stiff, you don't manipulate the hair until you rinse.

The step two is to place moisture back into the hair. If you don't use the balancing moisturiser, you can use an alternative intensive moisturiser.

Yes, what she said! Olaplex is a proprietary product to rebuild and maintain disulfide bonds in your hair. Aphogee is a protein treatment. Both are good for repairing and preventing damage but operate differently and in tandem can contribute to the health of your hair
