This guy deserves way more subscribers and likes. I have watched so many videos and this one single video just says it all. It has all the proper instructions and also things you can only learn by experiencing, like removing the jumpers. Very well done. Keep up the awesome work man.
I couldn't calibrate the acceleration. It gives an error every time. I tried many mission planner versions and it still didn't work. My card is APM 2.8, can you help me? Thanks.
If you are unable to calibrate the accelerometer with an old version of mission planner then check if you have the last latest stable version of apm2.8 on the board. And make sure you are following the accelerometer calibration process correctly.
@@ktm_orange_guru it could be defective but my guess is it's most probably something to do with the apm firmware and the mission planner version which is causing the calibration to fail..or the usb connection might be getting loose when you move the board during calibration?
What's your throttle % set to in the motor test tab? You need to calibrate the esc and then perform the motor test so the APM can spin the motors even at low rpm during test
Good work. Also, your English is pretty good, its frustrating when they are trying to speak English and can't be understood. Your video was really helpful and keep up the good work.
@@RakishRc Sir, I made the drone and it's working fine in stabilize mode but when I switched it to alt hold mode it's not working properly and not maintaining the altitude it only elevating. Please help me sir 🙏🏻
@@RakishRc Yes, sir it's gaining height after 50% throttle and if I try to set throttle to 50% it should hold the altitude but it's not responding and going up. Please help me 🙏🏻🙏🏻.
@@ayushroy501 do you have proper gps connection? For altitude mode you need to have good gps signal and check in advanced setup of mission planner for any altitude threshold value.
Thanks for this very instructional video. I'd like to ask why don't you adjust the limits of PWM to 1000min-2000max in the Radio Calibration procedure, but you leave them as they are (987min-2012max). Are those values arbitrary ?
Hi, firstly if the radio gimbals calibrated correctly in the radio settings and trims are at default with 100% weight for all channels then mission planner radio calibration menu the pwm value detected on end point of each channel is the most accurate and correct. Therefore I didn't change the max and min. They are not arbitrary but rather standard
Sir sir please reply sir!! Sir I have cut all the red and black wires of all my 4 esc and there is only 4 signal wires connected to apm. I am using a power module and i have not removed JP1 connector. Sir my motors are not arming after this!!! What should I do now sir!! Sir please reply!!!
Sir, I am using an external compass : HMC5883L magnetometer. I actuallu know what 4 lines of mag I have to connect but not the order... Can you please tell what exactly are the 4 pins below the GPS port named?
Hi, i have APM 2.8 and 3.2.1 firmware for my X quadcopter and i have already follow all your step. But i have issue when drone in "alt hold" mode, in several minutes the drone like uncontrollable or lost control (but its near distance), or the drone move to forward or move like crazy suddenly and crash. What is your advice to give me solution please ?
Are you getting good GPS connection? Altitude hold is purely based of GPS accuracy. Is it flying stable in stabilize mode? If it's shaking in normal mode then need to make sure gyro is calibrated correctly and motor vibration is not travelling to apm heavily
@@RakishRc in my first flight i use stabilize mode only, but suddenly the drone move to the left and crash. I think i have gyro calibration properly and i have added sponge under the APM controller..
Hi sir i have same bord and my drone flies good But the problem is its front direction as i rotate drone in air it doesn't matter where the head of drone is it only flies in the direction of stick of remote i guess its somthing like orientation settings As i want to add a camera for shoots i am unable to get fly drone using fpv as the front direction dosent matter So how do i disable this setting ?
Well not sure why but i appears that you haven't assigned the flight mode correctly on the aux switch. Confirm if you have stabilize mode on your aux channel. Seems like it's flying in simple mode
Were you using a Windows machine to run Mission Planner? If so, what version of Windows were you using? I have a Windoes 11 laptop and cannot get it to connect to my APM.
Hello sir I need help I use apm2.8 in Quadcopter and my drone is automatically rotate left side on its axis try everything like yaw trim but nothing is working please help me
I have removed the self centred throttle and did manual one by one esc calibration everything was fine motors made that conformation beep and run by applying throttle but after connecting everything and motors in order i recalibrated radio in mission planner after that when i connect the battery there some fast beeps in esc i think its getting different pwm from fc
Did you check if the trim is centered to 0 for throttle in radio? Try again but this time calibrate radio in mission planner first and then calibrate esc one by one on ch3.
@@RakishRc yes trim is centered in radio after i did all in one esc calibration and its works ...in stabilize mode full throttle m3 motor stopps and beeps as i tilt the quad a bit in opposite direction it spins again seems like gyro controlling the esc i think its fine ...and mainly its flying very well in other modes like stabilize and altitude hold but the problem is in loiter its like so much incorrect possition hold ...did you test loiter on yours ... please make a video on loiter and rtl
@@devileyes8392 okay so may be something to do with GPS accuracy and motor noise that's probably messing up the GPS sensitivity. I have to test.. will share once done 👍
@@RakishRc i think i have found the problem ..vibration. i am using f450 frame not that good quality but its ok...but am not using motor vibration rubber damper so i tested the vibration was so bad on arm of the quad .. i have already used vibration damper for fc but gps module doesnt have i guess vibration is the problem ...
Sir, my apm is not responding to input signals, yaw pitch roll throttle, throttle ek baar full karke par motor spin karti rehti h , fir m kuch bhi karlu motors nhi rukti, aur jab m usb se connect karke drone arm karta hu to sab kuch theek work karta h
Are you using latest mission planner software? Try to use an old version of mission planner and select download firmware option when updating firmware...you'll need to download the firmware file manually from arducopter website and then flash the file.
Iam facing isue with apm 2.8... drone is flying good in stabilize and altitude hold mode ..but the problem is from loiter ..no stable lock seems like each esc responding to pwm differently ... Same as in esc calibration there no musical tone instead there is slow continues beep in high throttle when bringing throttle down then 3 beeps semms confusion but after calibration pre test everymotors are spining in same time and same rpm..iam using simonk red esc.. is your drone rock solid in loiter make a short of it.
Hi, i haven't tested in loiter mode yet but i will be doing that very soon. Last week I had to re calibrate my esc a few times because I had switched between ppm and pwm protocol on receiver. The ppm encoder in apm is not very good i think which causes the esc to perform at different rpm even if calibrated well. So I switched to pwm again and re calibrated the esc and set the correct pwm value for receiver failsafe in mission planner and radio... which also I think need to be covered in a video. Now i have to test loiter, altitude hold and return to launch.
@@RakishRc make a video on that asap... Iam stuck with it i was also using pwm protocol and also tested ppm protocol both of them work same to me.. i dont have any idea about esc calibration.. there is no musical tone when we start up only those 3 beeps indicates battery cells...also i have noticed one thing in stabilize mode removing all propeller at full throttle motor one and 4 stops and beeps continuesly after i bring down throttle to 80 percent it spins again do you think this might be a problem or drone is not in air
@@devileyes8392 it's definitely esc calibration issue however you should also do the radio calibration again in mission planner. Make sure each esc is calibrated separately on channel 3 of the receiver and keep throttle on radio to 100% before powering up the esc you're calibrating. You should hear few tones and once throttle is back to 0 the esc will beep again. It should then spin the motor as usual.
@@RakishRc iam using flysky fsi6s with self centering throttle mode on .does this matter in esc calibration... I think the problem is with those cheap esc planning to but dys escs...make a video on loiter soon there is only few videos about apm 2.8 in your channel thats 2 months ago then there is no update please make video on loiter and automissions asap
@@devileyes8392 see now you mentioned self centred throttle stick. For these esc you and apm fc you need to use non centred throttle stick. You can remove the spring from the throttle and then do all the procedures again
hello sir, pls help me my apm2.8 is not showing its com port, i buy it new and just connect it to pc but its light only blinking pls sir. you are the only one i can rely on.
@@swarnimsharma_001 which usb cable are you using? Seems like the usb cable is only for charging or powering a device and not for data transfer. Use a different usb cable and check. My friend also has same issue few months ago
In mission planner low battery voltage can be set so it will automatically land or return to launch but for indication you can connect a voltage metre to the battery and set the desired voltage alarm
Which esc you are using? Calibrate one by one on channel 3 of the receiver and make sure throttle is 100% when turning on esc..then 0% throttle after beeps are heard. Motor will indicate once esc are calibrated and spin after throttle is applied.
@@captainjarvis8618 did you make sure radio throttle is correctly assigned on channel 3 and is esc is aslo connected to channel 3 of receiver? It will work if everything is followed correctly. Make sure throttle trims are centred before calibration else it will beeps like you mentioned.
sir i have purchased arducopter but my pc is not recognising it can you help me sir please. otherwise i have lost my so much money in this useless board please sir i need your help and you are the only one who can help me
