Asking Alexandria perform Duran Duran's "Hungry Like The Wolf" with Jonathan Davis from Korn at the APMAs. Suicide Silence introduce. Check out their performance of "Killing You" as well: • APMAs 2014: Asking Ale...
A lot of the people there don't know and/or appreciate old school rock. Legends like Slash, Joan Jett, Billy Corgan, or The Misfits(despite Jerry Only being a sellout lol) weren't really well known or received by the crowd because it's a younger generation that is used to the modern rock of today and don't really know much about bands like Duran Duran, Korn, etc, despite some of them still existing to this very day. There's nothing wrong with that though. People of old school rock constantly bash the younger generation for liking these modern rock bands when it's really not their fault. It's 2014, not the 1980s/90s and music evolves and develops. People are entitled to listen to what they want to. Personally, I love modern rock and old school rock equally.
Leora Ojadi i agree with what youre saying. but I hope they know that without those old school bands the modern music today wouldn't exist. I don't really care for these "scene" bands or whatever they are called. they all sound the same and they are too whiney to me. asking Alexandria is pretty much the only one I kinda like.
I hope for the same thing. I think these bands that exist today are keeping things fresh while utilizing their past influences instead of just repeating/copying the past, despite the similarities. I actually think they all sound quite different, but I also hear a bit of each other in their musical content.
Most award shows or big televised events with a band performing In it. The band are typically pre recorded. (Not saying all are this may or may not idk)
yeah i think kellin was also sick, or saving his voice/losing bc he in the middle of the making of a new album. Also he havent preformed live in a long time so.
Sleeping With Sirens performance was the worst one of the night, if kellin is just going to use backtracks when he performs then he just give up. Cause that's the easiest way to show you're a lazy performer and the easiest way to lose respect in the industry.
people are so dumb.. they pay tribute to a song and scene kids, butthurts, and close minded people are like " oh this is painful to watch" Don't watch it then, it's just a tribute
I popped my eardrums with a rusty flathead screwdriver rather than just stopping the video. I don't wanna accidentally hear it again later somewhere else. #hopetheyburnedthestageafterwards
I watched a video with Danny being interviewed about this and he said it was all thrown together at the last second he said him and JD aka Johnathon Davis were reading the lyrics backstage right before performing this haha
That was fucking AWESOME fellas. Fuck all the haters, that was sick. Bottles up to danny and the boys and also Jonathan davis. One of the best covers ive seen
Audio recorded from a flip phone inside a popcorn bucket. You can't hear Danny, Jonathan, or Sams bass. You can hear the cymbals cutting through, and a little guitar
Well, the only thing that is shameful to watch is that Danny W. is acting like a star which he actually isn't, while Jonathan looks like an ordinary guy singing while he is one of the most influential vocalists of metal/alternative/heavy music scene for about 20 years. Almost every 90's kid knows Korn and grew up listening to their music, which was deep and very accurate at that times (about bullying and all this stuff, that being different doesn't mean being worse). That's why I kneel before Korn and still, I like Asking Alexandria and it's my type of music but for me it's Jonathan who's an idol for me.
***** Just because Danny is wearing a suite? It is a fucking award show he probably was to lazy to bring some clothes to change just for the performance.
+AllTimeHustler look how he acts! And I know he always acts like a rock star, which is not bad, but he was with Jonathan Davis! There should have been a little more of respect. I don't know about you, but I grew up listening to Korn and that's why is so sad and disappointing
Diana Corona Listen i know Jonathan is probably a legand but Danny and him are friends, they toured the world together, so maybe he is a freaking rockstar but when your friend becomes a rockstar or famous do you treat them different than before? I don't think so...
I was there with my brother and just by the people around us you could tell that no one knew who Jonathan was. The crowd was dead which I get it if people are tired by the end (I wasn't) but even at the beginning of the whole thing, half the audience was brain dead and the other half were on their phones.
I don't even think the rest of the guys even wanted to play this. What probably happened was Danny won some kind of bet (like a drinking contest or something) and JD was forced to sing along cuz he owed Danny a solid
