Papa Roach began their performance at the 2016 Alternative Press Music Awards with fan-favorite song, “Getting Away With Murder,” alongside Memphis May Fire, gave us all the feels with “Scars” featuring Tonight Alive frontwoman Jenna McDougall. MGK joined the band for an energetic rendition of his own hometown pride anthem "Till I Die" before absolutely destroying the Schottenstein Center with “Last Resort”!"

He's always been like this. He's punk to the bone, he just happens to be a rapper. All his early shows were him littlerally moshing and crowd surfing and him being all around insane and punk as fuck. While rapping.

People who are surprised by MGK'S performance here forget that his roots aren't in rap, it's in punk. He grew up a Blink fan and he found rap later. He merges the two so well because he is a genuine fan of both and it's a sign to any elitist of whatever genre that you shouldn't ever limit yourself. Love what you love.
