Los creates Enitharmon (Pity). When I read that in the First Book of Urizen, I didn't understand it. Now listening to your works, reading The Divine Comedy, I see now Los creates Pity with this feverish enthusiasm, just as he creates the grotesque Urizen. I felt bad for Los before, but now I see, it is all in the good of the creative spirit. If we can accept that we create the "bad" and the "good" then perhaps we can stop being so self righteous.

I know what you mean, though in a funny way feel it’s become marginalised because it struggles to differentiate itself from the general ethical tone and spirit of the modern world. The NHS is the Good Samaritan, morally understood, in institutional form. Christians often seem obsessed with proving their faith as if were a proposition. The concern with church growth feels like a form of spiritual materialism. The response to climate change is in terms of care and justice, which isn’t bad, of course, but is not that different from what many secular folk would aspire to…
