i remember when i finished the game i went to the video store and asked for apocalypse movie with bruce willis...i was sure there was a movie.

Will do, looks like my kind of movie. I can totally relate to what you're saying, _Apocalypse_ might be just a humble PS1 game, but when I played it for the first time, I was struck immensely by the visuals, the music, and all the blending of technology and religion that'd gone totally twisted. And ironically, the limited hardware capabilities of its time helped reinforce that idea of crude, emotionless future, with extremely simplistic, geometric design of lamps, buildings, roads, cars, etcetera. Just look at levels like City, Rooftops or War Factory -- in my feeling, this scenery just screams "Orwell".

Agreed underrated gem

This, MDK, Twisted Metal 3, Diablo 1 and Duke Nukem time to kill were the first games I played on PS1 as a kid to the point I memorized Rob Zombie, System of a Down, Static X and Stabbing Westward songs word for word and only found out the bands names years later in High-school. Remember entering a club and hearing Rob on the speakers and asking the bartender what is the name of the band and what genre of music all of that was 3 minutes after I sang all the songs in front of her hehe. 80's, 90's and just a few early 00's entertainment had a damn soul and even in the worst games, movies or music you could feel that at least some effort and passion was put into it. Guess this is a lame and off genre comparison but even overused stuff like vampires and lycans were dope as fuck (Queen of the Damned anyone? Dystopian ones were Escape from New York and Equilibrium). Sadly, today you can't even say "Tush" (US slang for ass if memory serves) without triggering half of the planet. Sorry for the long post.

You know, I´ve got this "short attention spam" issue that´s always messing with me 😂😎 and I´m always looking at like 6 or seven vids at the same time and from different themes... Still agree with you, the 80´s, 90´s and early 00´s were the best times of music videogames, and movies.

About the world we are living in today, If I was disappointed in 2018, Imagine how am I feeling in 2020 in where the world is basically getting even more crappy than before.... As a kid I wanted to live in a Cyberpunk like world, but now the world is basically like in the movie "Demolition Man" only with the fuckin Covid-19... My only hope for a good Cyberpunk and Dystopian escapism, in terms of videogames, are Watch Dogs Legion, and Cyberpunk 2077, oh and of course FFVII: Remake. And now that you mention Orwell... What kind of dystopia do you believe we are living in nowadays? William Gibson´s, George Orwell´s or Huxley´s? Greetings!!!

Its also why in the cut scenes bruce willy is always explaining whats goin on. AS IF THERE IS ANOTHRR PERSOM WITH HIM

Religion and Science have become the world's dominant cultural forces, each offering their own version of salvation. These two opposite pillars of life battle for disciples as humanity verges on the breaking point. Science seeks the answers to life in technology while Religion condemns it as the sure path to Armageddon. For a while, Science seems close to proving technology is the answer to the complexities of modern life. Through the reearch of brilliant scientists, cloning, cold-fusion, and nano-technologies are no longer the stuff of science fiction. The miracles that Science has promised are inevitable. Violently opposed to such progress is a mysterious figure known only as the Reverend. The Reverend is a false prophet who evangelizes his version of the gospel to a world teeming with lost souls. Desperate men and women latch onto his teachings by the billions.
