This brings back so many horrific memories. I never thought this fire would jump the river but it did. We were OK where I live but we had to evacuate any way as it jumped into Igo. My friend and client who lived off Harlen lost everything :(
I know that area very well , 2 different family members lost their homes beyond where you turned around . Hate to see that fire heading north along river towards Shasta dam , not good .
Hello I was wondering if I could use some of your footage in a school project I am doing on the Carr Fire. It will be a couple of seconds and just the visual not the audio. Thank you !!
@@michaelsdaly hey Michael do you have more videos from the Carr fire? my family lost our home on Quartz hill and just trying to gather video from that day for my own records....Thanks
We got off easy compared to the Camp Fire that is biting right now. When I look at this video and see the current news about the Camp Fire it makes me feel so blessed our town didn't parish like Paradise did.
This is always sad at this time of the year in California, for the next few months we californians get to watch the beautiful outdoors burn into new deserts.
No it was an 81 year old man. It was an accident. His wife feels awful and our church is sending them cards because it was an accident.... Trust me i would be the first to be with you on this theory but its not so, i know first hand.
Remember the drought California had for a few years? It finally ended in 2017, but that was after a good 5 years of struggling. This had been the driest period of time on record in California's history. Over one hundred million trees were estimated to have died during this period. This leads to things like forest fires - the land dries out, the trees go brittle and one spark is all it takes. This is an unfortunate natural cycle these people are having to weather, and I wish them the best. Hopefully as the cold weather comes in this year it brings some moisture back to the region to help calm things down.
