I was on gili T when it happened I’m still traumatized and lost a lot of stuff we stayed there for a couple days without food nor water and homeless (we continued our trip anyway)
0:10 The Wrangler is a pretty good hail-resistant car. Vertical windows, vertical sides, plastic roof and wheel arches, few places that could be bent or dimpled. Only the hood is exposed, but that one is easily repaired or replaced.

i was outside on my front porch watching the storm roll through. little did i know a tornado was on the ground and would hit my house 10 minutes later. the only warning i got was a phone call from a friend who heard a tornado was reported on state rd 337 moving north northeast towards new middletown. i got no notification from the national weather service or anything like that. no sirens sounded until i the twister had already touched down, and damaged homes and uprooted trees for about 10 minutes. it was insane how that thing slipped right on down without any warning. this happened before my roof got redone so there was glass (they were skylights) above the tubs, all closets are located on the edges of the house and we have no cellar or basement or any safe place. the neighbors who have a basement werent home then so our best bet was to evacuate. we sped off down new middletown-elizabeth road and as we were driving on that road, the twister was LITERALLY ON OUR ASSES. we could feel the truck being levitated and slipping and sliding as we sped down the road. the twister was on the ground about 20 minutes and had dissipated behind the lil elementary school (where i went to) on the east side of town. we stopped at my grans place in downtown corydon and even ended up spending the night there. the next morning we come home to find cops blocking the road and trees uprooted, pieces of wood and stuff from buildings everywhere. we got home and seen our carport was thrown over the hill and was all battered up and every damn thing else. nothin else was touched besides that and my old swing which i went down and js chilled there and swung when i was bored. i never will forget it. some ppl driving down the road even stopped in the middle of the street and held up their phones to take pictures. i believe only one person was injured. but the storms weve been having this spring-summer, i wouldnt doubt it to have another hit my hometown like that. 🤷🏼♂️
