@Chris M: I'm afraid you're right. She turned the drag show into a freak ditto. In addition, her personality made her demonic appearances even more repulsive.
@@Sawdustinthemakeup It can be a difficult word to say for some, especially if they're going fast when they say it. I've heard an attorney friend struggle with the word before.
Sharon Needles was amazing in this challenge. But I also want to say that there is something in Chad Michaels outfits in this challenge that amazes me too.
ever since sharon stepped out, rpdr was never the same. she's the queen who opened the door for all other kinds of queens. i fell in love with her this ep.
@@Trenton.D as much as I dislike Sh*ron, having the show limited to just pageant fashion queens is not it. Plus they still have the ball and makeover so idk what you’re talking about.
Well, with it being a BALL (multiple looks), S11 surpasses this runway already with an unfair advantage. And even the looks on the Farm To Runway were better than these (Shuga, Plastique, Yvie, and I actually liked Rajah & Silky’s).
It’s because she was the prettiest. They usually received special treatment in the earlier seasons. I guess the best comparison is Rebecca Glasscock. Perfect example really. He was pretty. The list goes on and on.
Years later and Sharon’s look, even if she is messy af now, is still one of the few looks from the entire franchise that I will never forget. I think it’s my favorite drag race look of all time, it was just so ahead of its time, and changed Drag Race queens and fans mindsets from “things can only be glamour and beauty” into that Drag can be so many different things like it always has been since the art form first started. Still, there are many people out there that think this style isn’t worthy, or real Drag. which is sad. But, I think this look is why I love Dragula and spooky queens so much.
Yeah and that week's Untucked revealed that Milan couldn't sew and needed a lot of help with the sewing machine. Dida Ritz, in particular, warned her about the importance of knowing how to sew, but I thought Milan pulled it out with her look and it was a stronger look than Dida's.
Rupaul´s drag race has, to me, the storyline divided in "before and after season 4", more specifically before and after Sharon Needles and Chad Michaels!
This is one of my favourite runways. They all used unconventional materials. They all had somewhat unique takes on it... The execution of most outfits was quite well done! Overall very impressive.
I can't believe Milan actually slayyyyed this hard. Like she sold it and gave personality. Definitely my top 2 after Sharon. Maybe I like it because it reminds me of Sharon. Edit: It's how she stroke while walking that sold me
I wonder if Ru purposely made this first maxi challenge a goth/apocalyptic theme intentionally... Obviously she knows what Sharon can bring due to her audition tape and drag style... She still killed it. But it seemed intentional to put a challenge that would highlight Sharon's talents in the first episode. To mark a new dawn in drag race herstory.
Considering Aquaria is her drag daughter... The nice thing is that they're very different but both have such natural talent. Aquaria served much more elevated and complex looks. Sharon was more likable and charismatic. She's also very intellectual and knows her pop culture. Sharon and Jinkx Monsoon are the best when it comes to knowledge of pop culture and historic references.
"Disco Bloodbath" The interesting thing is that RuPaul came out of the Club Kid era of late 80s early 90s New York. So she knows a thing or two about being absolutely fabulous.
And just think - the other queens were looking at Sharon like she was nuts as she was putting together her outfit, but then she smoked them all on the runway. So satisfying.
Phi Phi: Lashauwn might be going home. Also Phi Phi: The weakest out of every body, I would say, is Sharon Needles. Her outfit looks more like a brown tube socks that she just stretched out. Look like she got it out a discount costume store....I feel she's gonna be the first one to go home. Lashauwn: *Top 3* Sharon: *Wins challenge*
Sharon is ART On a totally different level then the others. I don't even watch the show. Never did.. Until Miss Needles was on Watched the whole season twice over just for her She's stunning
A proverb: There might be one needle in that haystack, but sometimes needles can outshine the straws! And speaking of Needles, YES! She changed Drag Race forever!!
I remember someone was mocking Sharon's outfit. I was in doubt at first too when I saw it, but when she walked down the runway I have to say its still my favorite until now! Just FAYAAHH!!! Too bad that the judges comments did not give justice to how freaking awesome that outfit is. Still gives me chills when I watch it .
As soon as Sharon walked the runway, I immediately had the gut feeling that she'd win the season. And my gut feeling was not wrong💞 she served every look fiercely and was amazing in every challenge. Truly deserved
Yvie reminds me of Sharon a lot and Brooke Lyn of Chad and Kameron Michaels. I think the qualities that Yvie and Sharon had was something really unique and I'm always excited to see what they're coming up with. Yvie is like my little Sharon this season. Yvie was something I wished Nina Bonina Brown was. I loved queens with a really unique style and in your face. I think I might as well watch this season all over again.
@@trappnest4490 Nina was struggling with depression and got no support from anyone (that we could see on screen) they all just got frustrated that she couldn't take compliments which was insensitive af
