Hai Highway to Hill..,.....,. You know I am using R3.,.I rode 18k on metzeler stock tyre... 65% is burnt out., If money doesn't matter, which tyre should i buy in ur opinion??? I am 50 years old and keep the speed in highway between 80 to 140. Getting 24.4 to 25.6 milage. The last R3 in Kerala. If money doesn't matter, what will be the best tyre for me??? Didn't Ride even a single kilometer in gutter road... He is that much precious to me..... The chain was tighten only once.., Among my 4 bikes, my precious diamond is my all and all R3. 0 maintenance.....

Great piece of content. Bro I have R15 V3. I would appreciate if you suggest to choose between H1s and protorq. 1. I ride on highways a lot. 2. Cornering grip is essential 3. Not concerned about bad roads as R15 is not for off roading.

@@rushikeshgaikwad3098 Thanks bro! I would recommend the TVS Protorq Extreme bro. Cornering will be fun on these! They have a 140 section as well for the rear. These are H rated (210 kmph) so it's more than enough for R15. Else, go for 150 section rear. 😎😎😎

Heya, i need your quick answer as i am going to order tvs protorq extreme. The retailer told me that he can give me 2 different sizes 140 and 150 but the difference is that the front tyre is 110/70 in Z rating and the rear (140/70) is H. He says i can mix match the speed rating in case if i wanna stick to the recommended size. I aint rigid anymore so going woth 150/60 is also ok with me. now tell me which one shall i order. my ride is just about 5000 kms amd that too only Highways.

What's wrong with Michelin pilot street 2?? I thought it's better than both
@HighwayToHill
@HighwayToHill 5 месяцев назад
I spoke about Pilot Street. I mean 1. The first one. It's good for just touring and gives a longer tyre life. But with any bike of around 40 hp, I don't think you can extract much performance. I haven't used the Pilot Street 2 so not sure about those tyres. However, I have heard good reviews. Also, in this video I just wanted to focus on Indian companies. Thanks for your comment.

Currently I am using M7 rr on my svartpilen and alpha h1 on my 390 duke. These imported tyres are in a league of their own. I have ridden my 2 bikes back to back on the same road many times and the thing that stand out about the M7 is the grip and how easy it is to change direction, the effort required to ride fast on the m7 is much less than the h1. The only let down is the short life. I am tempted to get the rosso 3 for the duke but i am held back as my yearly ridding has reduced to almost 2k kms.

Should I go for road 5 or Protorq extreme or any other? My riding is low, no touring, so no problem if it doesn't last, no problem if it costs a lot. But I want it to perform great in dry conditions as well as wet/bad roads with sand as i am in Bangalore which can have sudden rains / sand on a corner that I'm slightly leaned in. Thanks in Advance!

We need to compare these with equivalent Pirelli Rosso-3 and Metzeler M9RR which are pretty much the performance benchmarks (there are Pirelli Rosso Corsa-2, Super Corsa-2, Metzeler Racetek etc but I am looking for a comparison of mostly the more commonly used tyres).

If you like having fun in the corners regularly, then yes. My friend and I have been thrashing the Protorq Extremes on our V3's for the last few months and are very satisfied, apart from the soft tyre edges wearing out within 4000km of constant hill riding. The center is still alright though, and I think I can get 8000km out of them if I stop cornering and just do casual highway touring. I heard the Alpha H1's mess up the handling of the V3 a little due to their stiffness and weight, but I am yet to test and confirm this, but their advantage is they last twice as much as the Protorq Extremes.

@@vivekmittal9715 ST will be lighter actually because it is ply tyre. Not steel radial. XR will be comparatively heavy. I don't have an exact number in kilograms though. XR will cost more than ST.
