Directed by Jay Brown and shot in Detroit, "How To Kill God" captures some of the fallen bastions of America, while Ras & Apollo roam historic sites that have long since been abandoned (the original Model-T assembly line, the outside of a foreclosed Detroit Masonic Temple, and inside a since closed cathedral).
Ras Kass spits brutal bars that harken back to "Nature of the Threat" from his original classic "Soul On Ice." Meanwhile Apollo Brown delivers soul stirring boom bap at it's best for Ras to lay question after question, and bar after bar of articulate insight into historical facts too often ignored. Don't let the title fool you, it's not Ras & Apollo killing God, it's them exposing the hypocrites standing behind empty dogma.

The constant evolution of Apollo and his partnering selections continues to astound me. This entire project as a whole was great, and in my opinion housed some of Apollo's best work to date. Some of you missed the point. He says he isn't Anti-Islam, Anti-Christ, Anti-Religion in the song..... He is saying that in general most Judeo-Christian beliefs and books have been carried out and wrongfully practiced. The dates are wrong. The interpretations are wrong. The physical description/pictures is wrong. And by continuing this, you have hurt your religion, more than you have helped it. You don't study histort, or facts and don't practice your religion in its purest form. Which creates doubt and turns people away.....therefore killing God, or rather the concept of God. Socrates at 300BC described the same thing in his writings of "Socrates Republic". You must study...... 1. Your religion. 2. It's original languages 3. Science And take into account who wrote the book your reading and look into what their perspective may be. Or remain ignorant. Which would be the opposite of God. Since God is perfect knowledge and not perfect ignorance. ***Study To Show Thyself Approved. ***They Perish For A Lack Of Knowledge.

THIS IS GENIUS. "HOW TO KILL GOD" , that simply refers to the fact that he is spitting many many contradictions about that thing alot of people call "GOD". He is killing the entire idea of the accepted god. However you can tell he believes in a supreme power, but simply because everything is created. BboyyEcko Oh, I've definitely heard that. I have Apollo Brown's entire discography. His work is stellar. I would LOVE to see an Apollo Brown x Elzhi (BOTH from Detroit) album collab in the future. In my opinion, Elzhi has a Nas type sound and Apollo reminds me a bit of Premo so I think that collab would be fucking dope.

(Ras) I miss his original flow. The one where his "closing syllables" would speed up and slip passed the "target snare", and land on the following snare. It was not off-beat. It was technical. Very difficult to do. Now it's just the Message without the aesthetics. But the aesthetics will make people want to repeat the metrics. Audible aesthetics makes people want to memorize the message. Correction, Memorialize the message. Some examples of his original form: 1. Remain Anonymous 2. Come wit it 3. Nature of the Threat Listen to these songs, and you will truly know what I mean.
